How did I end up at Rose Street Skateshop? All by happenstance, especially since I live in LA…read moreCounty. One day, I was googling a certain pair of Vans that I had been eyeing for awhile, but I knew that it would be a long shot since they had been sold out on the Vans website for months. I took a chance, Googled, and found a few websites that were selling them in the color I was looking for and in my size. Originally, I had been looking at 2 other sites and comparing prices and shipping costs, but as I scrolled further down, Rose Street Skateshop popped up. I love supporting indie shops and I called them right when it opened to ask a few questions before placing my order. My luck was that I was heading down to SD for a work conference and Rose Street Skateshop was on the way, so might as well stop by to pick up my order and try the shoes on in-person. The owner's wife answered the phone and she was so kind and answered all my questions. I placed the order online and made a note the dates I could stop by to pick-up my order. It really is their passion project, and they are not out to swindle their customers out of money. The cost of shipping is very reasonable, and I would have actually had the item shipped if I could not make it down. I stopped by and was greeted immediately by the owner as I stepped into the store. My order was stored away perfectly and I got to try them on in the store. The owner was awesome and even included a few stickers with my order. They also have a wonderful website and great email newsletters, the photos are great! If you live in the area, most definitely visit Rose Street Skateshop! They provide great customer service, are patient in answering any questions you have, and have quite the selection!

Even made my frenchie feel welcomed. . If you're not supporting Rose St you're doing it wrong. Shout out to Sean and the rest. Absolutely love the new merch I got. This is your one stop shop here. Also, they carry a dope selection of ASICS. Can't wait to visit again.

My first time finding it on Google and don't regret going in, good thing the other places we tried first were closed or had bad information. It's a great spot with a solid selection of everything you need from magazines to books you can look at while your kids look around or find their best pick. They also have gear which is awesome. My kid was happy when we left. Great prices Highly recommend supporting this local place.

While riding past Grandeur on an electric board, my fiancé got made fun of by a bunch of kids who…read morewere at Grandeur Skate shop, which is a little up the street from here. He knew instantly that he hated that place. The owner of Heritage is a sweetheart! He's an older gentleman; he doesn't judge what people ride (I myself, use an electric scooter). Heritage specializes in freestyle boards, but we wanted an Osider Magazine board to hang on the wall. There's skate videos playing and a couch you can hang out on, and the vibe is just so chill. It's only about 1/3 the size of the other skate shop, but the friendliness and owner make this place more ideal to spend money at. We will be back to pick up gifts for others (and ourselves) and to hang out! Pros: - friendly, non-judgmental - hangout spot Cons: - mostly freestyle stuff, no long boards (too small a space though)
