Grandeur Escondido location: Really awesome of Grandeur to have this little shop of essentials to service the skate community of north east county. Tucked away in a strip mall just 1 block from the freeway and featuring: *A wall of decks from every genre to fulfill any skaters need. *A full size display case with all the parts and components needed to skate out the door. *Also a wall of shoes from the major brands and most of them are on sale (with prices hard to pass up, actually) *A bench top to assemble your newly purchased goods to your liking, even has a bearing press. *Whoever happens to be working is going to be a knowledgeable skater that loves our culture/ sport/ lifestyle/ fashion so you're in good hands So it may be small, but it's rad to exist at all. Not many people come through the doors so I imagine that they barely brake even, but I'm thankful they have survived in the Age of Amazon and the Post-Covid Collapse and I wish them all the best. read more

this place sure have changed over the years. I have a couple of skater kids that pretty much visited this place often for some new gears and got a lot of stuff from here. The owners ( or owner now) are cool and friendly. But lately i noticed my last visit here with one of my kids their sizes has been limited? Ngek ! That does not help very much if there are so many toooo big of a size only. There should be a few different sizes but... nothing. The prices are getting crazier too. Was looking for a particular skateboard deck so i wanted to check out the coolest local skate shop in town. Grandeur had it!! I ended up getting a complete setup with some rad wheels and trucks. Jason, the owner, put the board together for me while i waited! And threw in a set of bearings! The whole experience was awesome. Such a cool store with a nice selection of decks, wheels, trucks, accessories and clothes. 100% local and totally rad. read more

The main thing that sold me on this place is that it's literally Underground! I have yet to see anything like that in Oceanside. If you're about that underground life, Grandeur is the place to go. They have a huge variety of skateboards, shoes, spray paint, hats, clothes, glasses. Never in my life have I heard of Happy Hour glasses, so I had to swipe the red and blue ones because it brought me back to old school 3D life! If you need some fresh gear, head down to Grandeur. This is place for those who love art, music, Graf, and skateboarding. If you expect someone to follow you around and act like your personal shopper you will probably "dislike the service". But I love that the guys never push sales on anyone. Ever. If you show interest or excitement, at Grandeur you will always get exceptional service, selection, and prices. Grandeur has changed their location to 215b N. Coast Hwy Oceanside, CA 92054. Honestly, I like the Store! I beats driving down to Downtown or LA. They Greet me every time I go in the Shop. The only 2 down falls are, prices are not on all the clothes and they only take Cash. I think if they get both of those issues fixed they will be a 5 Star Rating. Super clean shop!!!! As a woman I have to say that the clothes are all "for men", but it's 2018 now so that kind of label doesn't exist anymore. Plus, I personally wear oversized tshirts to bed , so I'm with it..... BUT even if that's not your thing, you'll get over it real quick once you see the spray paint collection. Fail. Grandeur has some unique shirts and shoes, but it's all the same stuff you can find online. The staff didn't greet us and the merchandise doesn't have prices on it. When I asked how much things were he just pointed in a general direction and gave me a range of costs. I'm pretty sure he was just making stuff up. i love this store, this is my first time on yelp and i think its so sad that people who are bviosly sick in the head can get on here and slander every buisness they walk into because they are so bored and pathetic, (just look at their profile and it shows that the hate on everywhere they go) well i had to stand up for this place... first of all none of the people who commented where skateboarders, artists or would need anything that this place sells... i mean one of these clowns is reviewing a SKATESHOP and complained that they were watching a skate video... holyshit... when did we all become such pussies?? grown men going home and crying online because someone didnt greet him nice enough.... have u ever run a business yourself, let alone a thriving one before the age of 30? these guys did and you know why? because they didnt want to go to some place ran by an out of touch person who was only there for the money.. this place is rad.... and they have a huge following because everyone is treated like family, they wont kick you out if you dont have anymoney, and they wont let you walk home if you break your board if you are a dollar short... try doing that at wal-mart! unlike these cry babies who walked in, judged a book by its cover, made accusations and assuptions and put them online, people who have bought stuff at this shop know that these dudes are honest an passionate about what their business is.. and thats always having the hottest gear. keeping every skate brand in stock (not to mention supporting young local skaters who have talent but no money) and treating you like your a friend who walked in their house,,, u can sit and watch a movie and hang out, or u can buy something or just chat with the guys,,,, thats how america used to be.. it used to be about family owned businesses and community... these guys might not be the most out going at all moments but i bet the cashier at target doesnt remember ur name and i know the manager at walmart would never give u a ride home if your car died.... my first yelp experience really made me ashamed of what people in this country have become... anyways.. gotta run, im gonna go take two steps in a church, walk out, go home and blog about how its bullshit because i didnt see god.. gotta run... read more
