My son said "I was hoping I would get to see it built!"

Today my five and a half year old son came in looking for a skateboard that would be good for him. The two young men were super nice, they listened to what I was looking for and helped us build a board that my son was over the moon to have. They asked him what his favorite color was for the deck, they put a little colored bolt when screwing in the deck so he would know the front from the back, and they even gave him a little heads up on footing. At the end they asked if my boys (my 3.5 year old was with me too) wanted stickers ... big deal for kids their ages. I just can't express enough how great the experience was for my son and I.

Not your average skateshop. They have everything you need and if you are lucky enough to win a raffle you will meet an employee like Semaj who seemed genuinely excited for my luck in winning a raffle they had. He helped me find the wheels I was looking for since I was already there and got me on my way. If you are looking for anything skateboard related this is the spot and if you are asylum skateshop Semaj deserves a raise! Thanks again Asylum crew

Took my son here for his birthday to get a new skateboard and they two guys that were working that morning were the nicest and most helpful people I have ever met. They talked my son through what they thought he should get for his new board and were very knowledgeable on what brands they thought were best and explained everything very well to him. He loves his new board!

The guys at Asylum are true skaters. They aren't mall-kids that got the job because they want to look cool. These guys actually skate and know what they're talking about. You can also check their website for stock which is handy. Their address is http://www.asylumboardshop.com

How much for indy 139 trucks?

My son got a 8.0 deck and he got the independent standard 139 trucks for $52 they also have titanium's and hollows which are way lighter then the standards!

My first time finding it on Google and don't regret going in, good thing the other places we tried first were closed or had bad information. It's a great spot with a solid selection of everything you need from magazines to books you can look at while your kids look around or find their best pick. They also have gear which is awesome. My kid was happy when we left. Great prices Highly recommend supporting this local place.

He knew instantly that he hated that place. The owner of Heritage is a sweetheart! He's an older gentleman; he doesn't judge what people ride (I myself, use an electric scooter). Heritage specializes in freestyle boards, but we wanted an Osider Magazine board to hang on the wall. There's skate videos playing and a couch you can hang out on, and the vibe is just so chill. It's only about 1/3 the size of the other skate shop, but the friendliness and owner make this place more ideal to spend money at. We will be back to pick up gifts for others (and ourselves) and to hang out! Pros: - friendly, non-judgmental - hangout spot Cons: - mostly freestyle stuff, no long boards (too small a space though)

As with most surf shops, they don't have a ton of square footage, but they really packed a ton of stuff into this shop without making it seem overly cluttered. Great selection of surf brand apparel, including some of their own Asylum branded stuff. Not a huge selection of surf boards, but what they had more then was enough to give you a good selection, if you're in the market, to go along with the technical capabilities to make sure you are set up with all the accessories that you need. Staff were super friendly and helpful while we were here. Couldn't leave without getting one of the Asylum branded t-shirts. Really cool place! Check these guys out when you're in the area.
