This store is clean, well organized and well stocked. There is a Great selection of fruit,food, meat and etc. The customer service was horrible. The person who was helping us had 0 nerve and very rude! He wasnt happy to be there. It was a mistake when he was scanning and i brought to his attention. We already paid and difference was more than $10 for the purchase. Instead of apologies, he gave us the worst attitude. The other location, most likely they tell you about the promotion for example if you buy 4 nachos you'll get one free and etc. but this person didnt offer anything and when i started asking he got irritated! For me this place, despite the cleanliness was lacking the most important part customer service. Also, it was interesting that there was a line and non of the employees were jumping to open registers! Even in sales floor, they were disappearing when they saw the potential customers. So, the problem wasnt only the cashier also clerks in sales floor. They have a big parking so at least parking the car was hassle free. read more

Had a great experience at this Stater Bros! The store was clean, stocked , and well organized. Sometimes when you go to a different market (the one you're not use to), it's hard to find the things you need, at this Stater Bros, this was not the case. Every one was very friendly and the prices are great. Big shout out to Scott and Jonathan who are super friendly, helped us save money, and made us feel welcomed here. We had over $32 in savings! I got in the express line with Brian b and there was one lady in front of me. The line should be changed to the SLOTHFUL lane. This man took forever and just kept talking. He was annoying and the elderly woman wasn't amused by his constant jabbering about the history of markets. I'm Stator Bro's superfan! Friendly staff, sparkling store, and clean restrooms - what more could you ask for? Our cashier that checkout was the cherry on top - always smiling and friendly. Minor gripes: clearance bins are in a weird spot, and one deli counter employee gave me attitude for asking for "lite mayo and mustard" on my Italian sandwich (I know, I know, l'm a rebel)! Do you think he would've asked one of those people (including me) that have been waiting in line to his register? WOW!! What a fabulous experience this morning. Went in after I dropped my daughter off at school. Parking lot was nice and clean. I was able to park right in front. The baskets were lined up nicely and clean as well. The store itself was clean and inviting. All the aisles were stocked full of product. They were not out of anything. I find that amazing since we just came off of the weekend. The staff were all nice, too! We ordered 2 bone in ribeye from the butcher for dinner tonight along with vegetable kabobs. Super excited! We've had meat from the butcher there before and has always been fresh and delish! At checkout the 15 items line was going to be empty and the line we were in had 5 FULL carts in front of us. The manager Scott was working the 15 or fewer lane and when his last customer left he looked over at our line and nodded for us to come over to his line. 10 stars for that kind of service. I've been to other stores where that person would not even look our way and just leave their area or do something else. Scott was all about getting everyone checked out in a timely manner. He was kind, courteous and super friendly. He held conversation while checking us out lightning fast! We need more like Scott. We usually go in between two stores that are very close to us, but I told hubs we will start going to Stater Bros exclusively. Also, their prices were much cheaper than in the past. I found many items at same or lower price than Walmart, that's the other store that's close to us. In the past Staters was NOT competitive. They were always much more expensive and these prices I had today were not sale prices either. read more

Lost and Found Spumoni ice cream Ever since I had this delicious treat at an Italian Restaurant three months ago, I had been looking for this flavor!! Although after google search, I had found that the only store carry this flavor was Stater Bros. OMG, yesterday on my way home from The La Mirada Theater after a musical, I spotted this super market on my right hand side on La Mirada Blvd., so I quickly turned onto the parking lot. Straight to the ice cream section, I found It! So excited, at the exit chatted a little with a red tie in white shirt uniform cashier about the spumoni ice cream, he said they had once stopped carrying this item, but because of the customers consistently asked for it, so the corporate office decided to restock it. there is one guy in the meat department that I have witness several times either grabbing raw chicken or meat with his BARE HANDS! anyone who is too stupid or lazy to understand basic food safety and sanitation has absolutely no business working the meat counter or deli.... or around food period. I have been shopping at this stater bros for about 6 years. I love their meat. However, that last few times I've bought meat here I've had a suspicion they were passing off their sliced meats as better cuts than they were. This passed weekend I believe I confirmed it and I'm very disappointed. I went there because they had a deal for 4.99/lb tri tip and 6.99/lb flap meat. I bought a few tri tips and 5 lbs of flap meat. When I got home to marinade my flap meat I noticed it looks very much like sliced tri tip. The shape appears to be triangular and the grain is at an angle on the meat. I've never seen tri tip cut like this for a legitimate sale. I may be wrong about the cut but I'm pretty positive it's not flap! read more

With all my travels through the USA I have never found a more refreshing grocery store. Friendly staff greats you at the door. More smiles from other staff while performing their tasks. Taking their time to say hello. Walking down the cereal isle was like walking a red carpet. The floors were spotless all the boxes were in perfect alignment with the shelf ending. i had to stop to make sure I was viewing what I was. It was a spectacular site. The meat department is one of the cleanest with a large Selection of various meats pre seasoned as well and helpful staff quick and efficient. The deli is a joke they never have any fried chicken ready. I know i have to set aside 20-30 minutes if i want to get fried chicken from there. But this i time i waited after the child told me it was going to be 30 minutes until the chicken was ready. And guess what. There wasn't enough to complete my order. He told me to wait another 30 minutes if i really wanted chicken. All they seem to hire in this store is children who do not know how to work. Today I was running late to work but I needed to pick up 2 items and be on my way. Unfortunately I left my wallet at home and did not realize that until I was about to pay. Destiny (the cashier) was trying to problem solve with me advising they took apple pay, I have an android so that wouldn't work. Their bakery has gone downhill by a lot. Prices have gone up and servings have gotten significantly smaller. We called to ask regarding their bakery but no one answered the phone. We are now looking for a new bakery in the La Mirada area. read more

Gotta love this Stater Bros location. I've been shopping there forever. Produce: The quality of the fruits and veggies are awesome. They're way better than other stores I've been to. I really love their strawberries. Meat Counter: Really love their meat. Whenever I do buy some meat, I usually the marinated flap meat or the chicken fajitas. Other Groceries: It depends what I feel like buying nowadays. Cost: The prices can be cheap, can be expensive, but it's usually averaged. I do highly recommend this Stater Bros location. read more

Good thing I don't live around here I just work around here and decided to stop by on my lunch break but it'll be my first and last time at this store. I'd rather go to the Albertsons on Rosecrans which is the same distance. The customer service here is non existent. The young lady at the register didn't greet me and as I said hello she gave no response. ???? I didn't mind that too much but then I said thank you to her and looked at the one who was bagging my groceries said thank you as well and also no response. This store is under construction and there a few areas in key departments that need to be address and looked into. There is a smell coming from the meat department that makes me sick. Also mold, dust, and rust in other areas that your customers can see not a great visual presentation. read more

Alright it's official, I won't be shopping here anymore. The service is so so terrible. I was helped my Amanda and the bagger who was helping her seemed new maybe. The entire time it felt like some weird tension between them like Amanda didn't want to be working with him or something. She was very short with him and then when my transaction finished and I was waiting for my receipt Amanda was talking to her other coworker with her back turned away from me and while that was happening the bagger and another worker were looking at my items that didn't fit into the bags I was charged for, and they're asking me if I need additional bags, And wondering what to do since Amanda had decided to only charge me for 2 bags and I needed additional bags. One worker looks at me and says "so do you want us to throw this stuff away?" Referring to the stuff I had just purchased, I guess trying to be funny? How is it my issue that they didn't wait until the end of the transaction was closed and finished to figure out how many bags I was going to end up needing? Not to mention neither of them greeted me when I went to check out. Im over it. This stater brothers needs to hire people who want and enjoy to be at work, not snarky jerks. Extremely uncomfortable and unwelcoming experience tonight as I was followed by two employees throughout my time shopping (maybe 10-15 minutes). I've lived 0.6 miles away for the last 22 years of my life and walk to the market at least once or twice a week in "Ath-leisure", running shoes, a tote bag for groceries, and now a mask. Badged Allied officer and a uniformed employee followed me throughout the store as I placed 6 items into my basket and checked out as quickly as possible. My parents have also noted the same security guard I described and one other gentleman making the environment feel much less welcoming when they have gone. Next time I'd prefer you just introduce yourself to me and help me find things since the new remodel. I'd appreciate a shopping buddy much more than the unwanted anxiety. read more

This is the second time I had a rude checker at the location. Almost all of the tomato boxes I looked at had mold in them. The prices have also gone considerably up since last visit, if you have ability to drive a bit further for your groceries do it. read more

I came to Stater Bros because I was in the mood for a deli sandwich and didn't feel like going to Subway. I used to eat Stater Bros' sandwiches from time to time when I was in college in another city, so I wanted to give this location a shot. The standard deli sandwiches are $4.99. I ordered a turkey sandwich with provolone cheese and some veggies on an artisan roll. Keep in mind that you can't watch them make your sandwich because there is a barrier between you and the counter where the sandwiches are made, so you can't ask for adjustments such as more onions, lettuce, etc. My sandwich was overall just okay... I think it would've been better if the bread wasn't so stale. Had the bread been softer and fresh, I probably would've enjoyed it much more. The turkey was tasty and the veggies were fresh, but I just wasn't happy about the bread.. Maybe next time I'll try it on wheat or rye bread. read more
