The Island collection of dealerships on Hylan Boulevard is pretty awesome in both quality of product and service. When looking around a I made an appointment to test drive two used cars. I went to the wrong location by mistake. You need to watch which store the car or cars your looking at is. I was about to go back on the bus to go across town when the salesman told me to sit down and let him call the other location. They literally had someone come out and drive me to the next location. They made sure to help me get everything resolved on site. Even without buying from them, just their presales efforts alone were enough for me to write a glowing review. "Walk in a pauper, get pampered like royalty" should be their slogan. On top of that the sales and financing team makes every effort to help you navigate the beaurocracy and afford paying for your new or used car right off their lot. After THREE less than satisfactory experiences with other Long Island dealers, I luckily found ISLAND GMC and Dennis, Nick, and Rob, where the PRICE ADVERTISED is the PRICE YOU'LL PAY !!! There were NO surprises, exorbitant charges hidden in fine print clauses for things like "market adjustment fee" OF $1,995.00 such as was sprung on me at a local "reputable name brand dealer". The sale price, fees, and taxes were clearly communicated and adhered to, without games, tricks, or surprises! Incompetent and extremely rude. The service manager tried making me pay out of pocket for a warranty issue and basically turned me away telling me that he doesn't feel like dealing with this. Telling me that a factory installed sports bar was causing the issue but he won't fix it under warranty even though the problem is electrical which is supposed to be fully covered. BUYER BEWARE OF GMC FLAKEY WARRANTY. I love my truck but incidents like this make me very skeptical about getting back into another gmc truck when the manufacturers don't have dealerships that stand by and honor their warranty. When calling corporate you get the run around that all dealerships are franchised and have the right to refuse service. Operating under the gmc brand these dealerships should be able to honor the warranty that is provided with the truck at the time of sale and just proves that gmc doesn't care about it's customers once the deal is made and will do anything they can to not stand by their brand. Very disappointing as I love everything else about my truck. ADDED BONUS OF MY TRUCK ON THE DAY OF PURCHASE WITH THE "AFTER MARKET SPORTS BAR" IN FRONT OF THE DEALERSHIP BEFORE I EVEN BOUGHT IT. This place is terrible. Had a car in need of repair, has been months and I still don't have my car... No workers call to give you an update on your vehicle. I've been told they never received the check from insurance twice...It really never ends. When I try to call and talk to the service department, they're extremely rude. We called in advance and our test drive was gassed and waiting while Donna Nocerino supplied water and coffee for our first cruise in our possible "new wheels". Once we decided to make the purchase (a first car of our 17-year-old) Donna told us she wanted to detail the car before we drove it off the lot. Within a day it was washed and prepped to go. Just absolutely love them. We leased an enclave and encore and they made sure we were completely happy with our choice. They even made followup calls to make sure we had no issues. My husband damaged his car recently and it needed to be repaired. Service manager, Steve, didn't like the look of the bumper after it came back from the bodywork shop and sent it back. I went in simply looking into the idea of buying a car and was greeted by Saba! Upon looking at the 2018 Buick Encore, I decided to test drive it and see how it felt. The ride was beautiful and she was able to come back with numbers a big high for my budget but not unreasonable. I chose to look around and went to a Jeep dealership up the block the next day. I was completely turned off by the Jeep dealership both in their atmosphere and the numbers they cam back with, more than double Buick, with fewer features. I am now on day two and decide to go home and sleep on it. The next morning Saba calls to ask what I'm thinking about doing, and contacts the bank to come back with a number even lower than she originally stated, and get even more featured added on. I told her I would take the deal but was at work and couldn't stay on the phone, she and the finance manager, Guy, worked on my deal all day while I worked and that night I picked up my car. Both Saba and Guy made me feel extremely comfortable and weren't pushy in the least bit. They went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and then some and I have ZERO complaints about either of them! When you go in, ask for Saba, she is patient, polite, and aggressive in getting you what you want but not in getting you to buy a car! I'd recommend in a heartbeat! read more

Not very impressed with joe caccamo and his accociate Mike I drove 7 hrs with two kids to pick up my truck I was buying and they go and put a sticker on it has dry rotted tires all the way around ones almost completely flat and the other three were very soft as they said we will fill them back up . the brakes lines were completely rotted ready to blow . I didn't know I needed a flat bed to buy a new truck . .these guys r thinking I'm driving my kids in this on the interstate 7 hrs away to get home what kinda bs is that hope they get fired after I call them in!!!!!!!! read more

We met with Luigi Giacalone the sales associate who sold us my GMC Denali. From the first meeting he was a true professional!!! He answered all of our questions and explained everything in clear concise manner. We felt like we were talking with a friend. We were then introduced to Bruce the manager who was such a professional pleasant guy. Our experience here was far different from anything we have ever had before. I have been buying GMC Denali trucks every time they come out with a new one since 1999 and this by far was the best experience we ever had!!! THIS IS THE LONGEST REVIEW YOU WILL EVER SEE! I was hesitate to do this because I really like the salesmen Joe and Nick. They are great people and talk to you like a person and not like your typical sales person just looking at you like $$. The problem is not with them it's with their service DEPT. Particularly the mechanics . I bought an 09 Yukon slt. Happy with the deal, loved the truck and was excited to make it my own. Now I've had the car for 3 days and I notice the gas gauge hasn't moved from full. I know somethings wrong, it's a v8. Put $25 in and it takes it with no problem. Call joe and say my gas gauge is broke. "Bring it in Wednesday". Put $30 in on Tuesday, then Drop it off and get it back In 3 days and they say it's fixed. Now I take the truck and try to put gas in it and gas won't go in. Takes me 20 minutes to get $15 worth of gas in it with gas spitting out at me the entire time. Thought I had a bad pump. Go to a totally different gas station and same effect. Call service and Schedule an appt with the them for a few days from then. Now I drop off my truck again to get the "gas wont go in" problem fixed. 2 days later... "it's fixed" you got a whole new gas tank and lines and it's all good. Go right to the gas station and guess what???? Same thing. Call them up and make another appointment . Now all the sudden the service rep says" I'm sorry I don't even have a loaner to give you". A loaner!!! No one ever mentioned loaners before! I've been borrowing cars, missed work and bumming rides while you guys were ruining my truck!! Keep in mind I haven't been angry and unreasonable at all. Polite and saying thank you and not making an issue. I take the truck to work the next day and my co workers say" why does your truck smell like gas"? I look under it and see gas dripping out. So I Try to Start it up to get it in a easy spot for a tow truck and I hear this horrible sound and it wouldn't start. Hit it again and it starts but now gas is shooting out of the fuel pump like a fire hose! I move it and call the service dept again. Now my patience is gone. My family was in that truck the night before. My co workers and friends were standing close when I parked it. So many things could have gone wrong! So many people could have been hurt or killed! They sent a tow truck and bring it in and I explained to them I don't feel safe using the truck anymore and I don't want anything their mechanics touched. One of their options was to take my truck back and give me the same year Yukon but a Denali with 10000 more miles... only $2500 more.? Truck was all scratched up , rims peeling and rotors looked like it's been in a puddle for 6 months. I wasn't happy with that truck. Not for more money especially .My slt was clean. Tell them I just want my money back. Truck was paid in full. Now I get a call from Bruce the manager and he said he wanted to make me happy but I didn't want that Denali and I told him I was just gonna take my money and go lease something. " I'll make you a great deal just give us another chance " he says. Now maybe he misread the situation but he offers me a top of the line sierra at a top of the line price. $567 per month. It wasn't the worst deal but if I had that kind of money why would I go buy a 9year old truck with 71000 miles?? He went right for the throat. Didn't ask me what I needed or wanted in the truck just asked about color. All I wanted was 4x4 and maybe leather. 3-350 a month. I even said $250 when I was on the phone with him just to give an idea. I know 250 is unrealistic but I said it. Thankfully I got all my money back but I lost a lot too. $300 in headlights and led bulbs which I have to try and sell, I think I can return most of the stereo equipment $500 , blinker bulbs and all the gas I put in to watch pour out all over the floor. In closing if you buy a new car there you should be ok. Talk to joe or nick. If those mechanics have touched the car don't buy it and if you need service go to freehold Buick gmc. I hear their mechanics know what their doing. P.s.i will be contacting gm corporate to tell them about the butchers they have in the service dept. read more
