My Wife car was at parking lot at aviation plaza and for ignorant trying to get a fast fix i contact this person, right away he charge me 150.00 and 609.70 next day, he sent a mechanic with a little van; this person doesn't even have a car scanner diagnostic tool the car was having problem and do no start, he started to try many things and he finished putting down the gas tank and replaced the gas pump but the car still w/o start; then the guy took 2 or 3 hours i can't remember to get a fuse and the end the motor started 2 days after that the check engine light come out to the panel, I bought a car scanner diagnostic tool and find put it was P0451, so simple. so, by been lazy i never bring my car to his mechanic (CAMANO SERVICES ) in New point Road, Elizabet, now i'm dropping my car on CAMANO and I will let you know what really happen with my wife car. But i recommended never, never, never bring a car to this guy or company. One more thing I know my English is regular to bad but the mechanic that he sent doesn't speak English at all and I barely understand the guy because he speak portuguese and the Spanish (language that i speak is so close to the portuguese language).

I think my last time in was Spring 2020, and things were chaos in northern NJ around then... I'm pretty sure my first stop at the shop was for some silly repair and I opted to just wait in their seating area for a couple hours. My first time there I saw something that made me really appreciate how this shop operates. A lady had an issue with her car and the folks called around a bunch of scrapyards/used parts options, finding the cheapest parts in like Long Island or something, and could have gotten it there in time to repair same day. She couldn't afford it, and they pitched a financing option. They straight up refused to just replace the tire because a damaged rim would just tear it apart and whatever the underlying mechanical issue it had was unsafe to be on the road. A sketchy place might be fine with making a sale, but seeing how hard they tried to get her safely back on the road made me trust I wouldn't be upsold or lied to. Elsy does a lot of fleet maintenance, so their parking and lifts often have vans in them. They're also a "tire shop" but don't let that dissuade you if you need more than new tires and brakes. I've had them do all sorts of non-tire repairs and maintenance on my abused Honda - engine mounts, A/C leak, wheel bearing, oil changes... If you decide to wait for your car there, they have a coffee maker, a TV, and wifi. If you need to get to the train station down the road, they'll either call an uber or drop you off so you can get wherever you need to be. It's not as fancy as getting your work done at a dealership, but they offer basically the same perks. The Yelp tag is also very correct in this being a family operation - Jose and his son Chris were so nice and knowledgeable, and really make you feel like family. I hope the old man is enjoying his time with his granddaughter more than hanging out in the shop! Millie at the front desk is absolutely delightful and a total rockstar with all the office tasks she has to juggle. I wish every mechanic was as reliable and honest as the folks here.

The owner Frank is a very polite person, who always makes time to interact with customers. But he is also a very busy man. Working with his specialized mechanics team, in order for them to operate like a well oiled machine. He listens very carefully to each customer as they explain what mechanical problems they are having with their vehicles. Then I watched him several times in the couple of days while at his shop. Start visually investigating what the problem could be on whatever car came through the service station. Then if necessary he would perform a diagnostics test to locate the exact problem that needed to be fixed. I then watched him and his team of mechanics with a limited but reasonable amount of time, locate the exact problem and make the necessary repairs. I was amazed, because they knew exactly what they were doing and before you knew it the car had been repaired and on its way out of the shop. Every customer was happy and extremely satisfied with the professional work and reasonable price the paid. All his mechanics are every friendly as the video I have presented here will show as my car is on the lift being repaired. You will find "No" better car repair shop than ECP Auto Service. This i guarantee.

Derrick and his team have been my mechanics since I moved to West Orange in 2018, and at this point I trust them completely with my cars. They're straight shooters. If something can wait, they'll tell you. If something needs attention now, they'll show you why. No pressure, no mystery charges, no unnecessary parts swapping. From a technical standpoint, their diagnostics have been consistently spot-on. They don't just throw parts at a problem hoping something sticks; they take the time to trace the root cause, whether it's electrical, drivetrain, or something more subtle that other shops miss. The work is done right the first time, and I've never had to come back for the same issue. Pricing is fair, turnaround times are realistic, and communication is excellent. They treat you like a long-term customer, not a one-time invoice. Shops like this are rare, and if you're looking for a place you can stick with for years, this is it.
