The place is clean giving it a luxury vibe. They don't plan any music in the background and they don't serve wine that I can have with my pedicure, but that's OK because they do also offer hot stone massage for your pedicure for an additional service and it is phenomenal. It is definitely a treat to give yourself.

I am DONE with Avalon Nails. I have spent hundreds of…read moredollars at this salon over the years, but today was my last day. I came in because a nail chipped just days after spending over $100 on my nails. Instead of fixing it promptly, they had me sitting there for hours. While I waited, I watched white customers who arrived after Black customers get taken back before us. The moment that pushed me over the edge was watching an older Black woman continue to wait while a white customer walked in and was immediately seated for a pedicure. I spoke up because I refuse to stay silent when I see something that I believe is wrong. I even asked the older woman if she noticed what had happened, and she said she hadn't. I told her not to let anyone make her feel like her time and money don't matter. This experience left me feeling like Black customers were treated as less of a priority, and I find that unacceptable. Whether anyone else agrees or not, that's exactly how I experienced it. Black people, our money has value. Stop spending your hard-earned money where you don't feel respected, appreciated, or prioritized. There are plenty of Black-owned and Black-operated nail salons that deserve our support. Keep your dollars in businesses that value you. I will never spend another dollar at Avalon Nails. If this is how loyal Black customers are treated after years of supporting this business, they can keep it. Respect goes both ways, and so does where I choose to spend my money.

This experience was just ok. I've gotten numerous nail services in my past and this one is by far…read moreon the "not so favorable" side. For starters, I was visiting from out of town and maybe my expectations were too high. The basic pedicure is just that, BASIC. No massage, no lotion, no scrub, NOTHING! Apparently, that comes with the deluxe around here unlike where I'm from. Not even the little paper flip flops were given. My toes were separated with toilet paper before painting and not the normal foam separators that are typically used. All I received was a trim of the toe nails and shape, clean up of the cuticle and removal of some dead skin on the heels, polish and done. Lasted 20 minutes, if that. Second, I went in for a gel manny as well and the tech was in such a rush that I only got a polish change, all of which totaled up to $50. How? I didn't bother to confirm the price of my services but $50 for a BASIC pedicure and gel fingernail polish change? Never again. I give 3 stars (really deserving of 2.5) because the inside was clean and nice but the experience was just ok.

She took her time and did my pedi and it looks good. How did my nails & baby he snaped! I haven't had my acrylics done in a longg time because I do them myself with some good ol press ons. Anywho, I'm satisfied with my nails, the service, location, and all around everything. They were all friendly and took their time. It's not expensive but definitely expensive than back in the day price. My full set with design gel was $55 and my gel pedi was $55 + I'm a good tipper sooo I spent a pretty penny lol. Anywho, I would recommend this place to others :)
