    Fire hazard.

Scott is extremely combative. This company installed a new heat pump for us through our home warranty. There were many issues with it and we had them out just about 15 times to try to explain to us why the heat pump wasn't kicking in the secondary blower anymore with the new unit. Never got a really straight answer other than that's how it's supposed to work. Last night the breaker exploded and our house almost burned down (now and exaggeration please see pictures). When i used Google AI to search for what the item was that exploded I found out it's a surge protector specifically for AC until and heat pumps that has been recalled since 2014. Upon speaking with Scott, he advised he's never seen one of these in 32 years of installing heat pumps and ac units. I'm pretty sure that means he has installed basically no ac units since ours is the first one they've ever seen. Additionally he argued with me about it having nothing to do with th AC unit which is highly unlikely seeing as the new ac unit is much different from the older one we had. It has much different electrical connections than the one they replaced and they had a lot of issues connecting the new one to begin with because we have nest devices. All in all, don't let this guy come to your house. He's an arrogant man who doesn't know what he's doing, clearly.

Scott, recharging our unit! With Pooh being the foreman!

The Scott who came to our house on a frigid Saturday evening at 7 pm was courteous and fixed our heating problem almost immediately.

They installed a tankless system for us (January 2025), an HVAC heater (September 2025), and a humidifier into the HVAC (October 2025). They quoted me $300 for a valve replacement in writing before changing their mind if they would do the work, referring me to their parent company (Steingass) whose rep Jason came out. I asked Jason for two quotes, one for the one valve and one with an increased the scope, Jason verbally told me he'd quote that but the increased scope would only take a day of work. He then only quoted the increased scope at $3500 for two days of work. I emailed a reply to the quote but it bounced because their quote system doesn't send from an actual email address. Burrier installed the HVAC heating unit back in September but with piping that wasn't properly glued. This caused exhaust leaks into our basement during the winter when it turned on. They sold us a humidifier that doesn't work as promised. Despite multiple trips they initially couldn't find any issue. It was two months later that their installers found mineral buildup that shocked them and said to me that it looked like over a year since the filter was changed. So, we needed the added expense to add a separate water filter line. This was done at an upgraded post install cost. Unfortunately, even with this we still don't get good humidity (19% when set at 50%). Additionally, they scheduled a flush of our tankless system but their first tech who came on site only inspected the humidifier didn't do it. Then, techs came back several times for the humidifier none came with the equipment to flush it. I was told in writing by Tom that Lee would schedule but he didn't. I'm exhausted trying to stay on top of the issues. They don't follow up with me, I have to follow up with them. I have called and left voicemails that haven't been returned by the scheduling department. I have emailed sales. I wish they could have continued to be awesome like they were when we started working with them and hopefully they improve but for now I'm lowering from 5 stars to 2 stars to reflect the new reality of working with them.

When I asked him to check if there was a leak of gas from my furnace, he said everything is in good working condition and there are multiple safety measures to prevent any leak. But when I asked how to be sure there is no leak, he said that is a second step to measure with a meter and it will cost another $89. In any event, I didn't find him to be friendly and helpful to rule out my initial complaint. I did not opt for the second step. No second step for diagnosis was informed by Sal earlier. That said, I guess I must give the business a 5-star rating based on the professional scheduling and followup of the appointment. "One swallow doesn't make a summer' or "one bad day" is not a true reflection of the company. I am changing my rating at Sal's text request personally. It's only changed because I can understand Sal's concern as a businessman. He offered me free service in return but I declined it again. He got me wrong completely. My changed rating is only for the professionalism shown by the reception desk and their follow-up. It is not for the changed picture Ron gave that I asked if Ron wanted me to wear a mask. Who would ask that in one's own house? I was wearing my mask thoughout the encounter. As a 65+ year-old, I must be cautious. I don't need a service person's permission to wear a mask inside my house. Unbelievable. But I thought I must clarify to Sal's reply. Thanks Sal for your prompt response. But, isn't that a courteous way to ask ? - "You might want to wear a mask". He saw I was wearing one and he was entering my residence. Yes, I could have insisted but I think that is rude. Secondly, my complaint was "gas leak" and hence, the request to send someone from your company. I am not disputing any diagnosis. I just placed it before you, so it doesn't happen again.. I don't want any money back either. Service was rendered and I accept your company's policy. However, I thank the reception desk for immediately scheduling the appointment the same day. It was highly professional, including the update they followed up with. I commend you for that. Anyways, thanks for your immediate response. Much appreciated

They even went above and beyond to work with my existing antiquated utilities.
