a concrete walkway in a park

It started off Ok. Good communication, timely project. The day they finished my walkway they quietly left when they finished while my husband was home, working remote. We estimate it was likely an hour by the time my husband realized they had left. When he looked everything looked well done-except there were fingerprints by front door of our new walkway. Quickly we called to address the problem. They claimed innocence/immunity and that in no way could it have been them but someone else. (We do not have children and are surrounded by retirees with wheelchair ramps). I spoke with someone supposedly in charge who became furious I questioned their work. This woman hung up on me. At the end of the day, they are not professional and even Amazon takes a photo of the $15 package they deliver. Maybe ALBA should invite the customer to look over the work prior to their departure, take a picture of an unscathed job done and refrain from rudely hanging up on a customer.

This is the quality work they stand by.

Alba requires 1/3 of the estimated price of the Jo's to secure the job. I paid close to $5000 in April and did not hear from them until late August when I called to see what was going on the job began September 20th. When the job was done I noticed my backyard gate couldn't close because they did not check to see if the gate lined up with the hole on the ground so the gate can be closed.

2200 sq ft garage floor. A little dusty from drywallers and painters. But a great job

My experience with Palumbo Concrete was exhausting and incomplete. I did not want to take to the…read moreweb to express my discontent with the contractor but it is what I have left because he delays and he does not respond. I will leave concise list in my experience of where this contractor areas of improvement are. My initial review is very low (if zero stars, I would). If the contractor corrects the issues, I will leave an updated review if needed. My observations: * Contractor pulling permits (double check permits have been completed by confirming with local jurisdiction) * Contractor underestimates plumbing subcontractors work and will ask you for more money. * Contractor used 2x4 frames for a 4 inch thick concrete. 2x4 is actually 3.5 inches. Cracking already appearing near 3 steps in less than 6 months. * Contractor damaged the garden spigot and attempted to repair it. The repairs did not remedy the situation. I repaired it myself and reduced my payment to the contractor by the amount and handed him back his parts. * Contractor damages surrounding utilities when given explicit information on where they are located and takes note. In my case, water and electrical connections to the garage and air conditioner connections. The air conditioner connection was fixed by my nice hvac contractor that did not charge me extra because they felt bad for me getting a waterproofing contractor that hits stuff. For the water and electrical, he had one of his electrical subcontractors out to fix the connection but the issue popped up multiple times after he left. * Contractor did snake out drain at no charge but did charge for additional clean out (that was unforeseen and I accepted) * Contractor will require a good amount upfront and say the rest is due upon completion. Then when the project gets underway, the contractor will state an unforeseen circumstance came up and he needs almost all the money before the end of the job. * Contractor needs pushing to clean up after concrete on site. * Contractor will dump any leftover fresh concrete any where out of eyesight on job site and leave it for you to clean up. * Contractor will attempt to not complete simple grading after project. The reason why I wrote the review is to let other people know of the potential issues with this contractor. Those were some of the note worthly issues I encountered. You may encounter more and/or different ones if you choose to hire this contractor and do not keep a close eye on the contractor team. I made every attempt to be a reasonable person with the contractor and try to handle issues like two adults. When one party does not follow through to rectify incomplete work caused by their mistakes, others should be warned. I still have electrical and plumbing issues outstanding from his reckless operation. DO NOT PAY UNTIL YOUR ISSUES HAVE ALL BEEN RESOLVED (and you have confirmed it). The contractor will delay, delay, delay, and finally stop answering/returning messages to leave you in the wind. Please learn from my experience.

This review is more so for the people he claimed to work with on a foundation rebuild the 3 of them…read moredid for me concluding in August of this year. Had to have a foundation rebuild done since I had several bowed basement walls. T. Chubb gave me an estimate for his work ( even though the website said he does rebuilds he DOES NOT) to replace the bad brick in my crawl space. I was satisfied with the work he & his family did. My main issue with him is he's never sent me a copy of my receipt even though I contacted him several times for one. My nightmare began with the contractor he said he only worked with T Dowhan Concrete contracting to do the waterproofing & Tom Slapnicker who had all this experience in foundation rebuilds. Long story short I paid these 3 guys over 39000.00 only to have my basement leak from the rain on 9/23/21. My repeated calls to T, Chubb( never called me back) T. Dowhan called to say he would do additional waterproofing on the one side (didn't happen) and T Slapnick's promise to come out & fix the issue only to not show. Even today he said he'd be here but once again didn't show. If all you need done is the brick replacement, then I would say Chubb would be okay but if he starts recommending the other 2 individuals I strongly advise you look elsewhere. Very unreliable and not who they say they are.

His quote was mid-range compared with the other two, but I chose him not so much because of price, but because of his responsiveness and communication. Getting someone to call back is half the fight it seems, I appreciated his efforts to respond to me. When it came time to actually install the septic system Gianni and his crew were efficient and got the job done without any problems or holdups. I have since had to reach out to him twice with questions and he has responded promptly both times. I highly recommend.

From day one he was super responsive, gave me a lot of good advice, he was very patient answering all my question and explaining things, he stayed right on schedule which was so important because I had a deadline to meet with my construction loan. He also worked so easily with my other contractors. He even gave me a great referral for the electrician I hired. Always showed up when he said he'd show up. When I saw that he was actually hands on doing the job and worked so hard to do a great job, I knew I could trust that it was being done right. He passed the required inspections with flying colors. He seriously helped save my sanity through the construction process since I had never done anything like that before. I'm so appreciative and grateful!!! Contractors that are reliable, trustworthy, responsive, are good at what they do, and are professional like Gianni are worth their weight in gold.
