Rendon Paving Asphalt Concrete and Construction

Rendon Paving Asphalt Concrete and Construction

What a fantastic contractor! We are installing a back yard hot tub and needed a new, large,…read moreconcrete pad designed to support it. The project process with Rendon Paving was painless! The quote team arrived ON TIME (actually early). The quote itself took only 24 hours to generate, and was very price competitive. After committing to Rendon, the scheduling team was top notch. Since it's an outdoor protect, weather could impact the timing of the work. There was CLEAR and POLITE communication every step of the 2 visit process. And the work itself? The masons arrived on time and with excellent attitudes and work ethic. So courteous and pleasant to talk to. They did an incredible job and we could not be more pleased with the quality of the work. Everything was cleaned up nicely during and after job - and my patio has never looked better! Amazing. I wish I could leave more than 5 stars we were so happy with the experience. Please call Rendon! You will not be disappointed........

My experience with Palumbo Concrete was exhausting and incomplete. I did not want to take to the…read moreweb to express my discontent with the contractor but it is what I have left because he delays and he does not respond. I will leave concise list in my experience of where this contractor areas of improvement are. My initial review is very low (if zero stars, I would). If the contractor corrects the issues, I will leave an updated review if needed. My observations: * Contractor pulling permits (double check permits have been completed by confirming with local jurisdiction) * Contractor underestimates plumbing subcontractors work and will ask you for more money. * Contractor used 2x4 frames for a 4 inch thick concrete. 2x4 is actually 3.5 inches. Cracking already appearing near 3 steps in less than 6 months. * Contractor damaged the garden spigot and attempted to repair it. The repairs did not remedy the situation. I repaired it myself and reduced my payment to the contractor by the amount and handed him back his parts. * Contractor damages surrounding utilities when given explicit information on where they are located and takes note. In my case, water and electrical connections to the garage and air conditioner connections. The air conditioner connection was fixed by my nice hvac contractor that did not charge me extra because they felt bad for me getting a waterproofing contractor that hits stuff. For the water and electrical, he had one of his electrical subcontractors out to fix the connection but the issue popped up multiple times after he left. * Contractor did snake out drain at no charge but did charge for additional clean out (that was unforeseen and I accepted) * Contractor will require a good amount upfront and say the rest is due upon completion. Then when the project gets underway, the contractor will state an unforeseen circumstance came up and he needs almost all the money before the end of the job. * Contractor needs pushing to clean up after concrete on site. * Contractor will dump any leftover fresh concrete any where out of eyesight on job site and leave it for you to clean up. * Contractor will attempt to not complete simple grading after project. The reason why I wrote the review is to let other people know of the potential issues with this contractor. Those were some of the note worthly issues I encountered. You may encounter more and/or different ones if you choose to hire this contractor and do not keep a close eye on the contractor team. I made every attempt to be a reasonable person with the contractor and try to handle issues like two adults. When one party does not follow through to rectify incomplete work caused by their mistakes, others should be warned. I still have electrical and plumbing issues outstanding from his reckless operation. DO NOT PAY UNTIL YOUR ISSUES HAVE ALL BEEN RESOLVED (and you have confirmed it). The contractor will delay, delay, delay, and finally stop answering/returning messages to leave you in the wind. Please learn from my experience.

American Asphalt Sealcoating - Before trying to powerwash off the sealcoating.

American Asphalt Sealcoating

Worst communication and product imaginable. That is how I would describe American Asphalt, and…read morespecifically Todd (I think he's the owner). My driveway was seal coated on 09/02. A few weeks later there were multiple areas with cracks and weeds started growing through some of the cracks. At one point, my backpack leaf blower was able to blow a section of asphalt up while I was doing leaf cleanup. Probably should have been patched, but Todd didn't agree. I called Todd at the beginning of October and was told a crew would be out in about 2 weeks to fix it. I called a couple weeks later and was told a crew would be out before Halloween to fix it. I called a week after Halloween and was told I'm on the list and a crew would be out at some point to fix it, then Todd just hung up without even allowing me to ask a follow-up question. I called again on 11/24 and after telling him what was wrong (for the 4th time), he said he would have to charge me to fix the issues since I cleaned the driveway myself instead of his company cleaning it. Cleaning the driveway was NOT a part of the original quote and when we discussed it during the first site visit, Todd said he could do it or I could save some money and do it myself. He never mentioned that doing it myself would void the warranty on the work. I pressure had washed my driveway three times prior to it being seal coated. After some yelling back and forth, the call ended with him calling me a "f*cking r*tard" and hanging up. I tried calling back 5 or so times and he never answered or returned my call. Not only was the product crap, now I need to pay to have a different company seal it again. Since Todd took so long to respond, almost 2 months after the initial call, I can't get it done until the weather allows, which will probably be after winter and spring. I feel like Todd glazing over getting the driveway cleaned and not including it in the quote is a business tactic used to get out of the warranty on his subpar "seal coating". I have no proof of this, but after the past 3 months of dealing with him, it wouldn't surprise me. I urge anyone considering American Asphalt to check the Better Business Bureau. Todd has 8 complaints against him over the past 3 years. A direct quote from the BBB website is "American Asphalt Sealcoating is NOT a BBB Accredited Business. To become accredited, a business must agree to BBB Standards for Trust and pass BBB's vetting process." Take the negative google reviews seriously. The headache and lack of communication are not worth it if you have any issues with the final product. At which point Todd will probably call you a "f*cking r*tard" and hang up, leaving you to spend more money to get it fixed correctly.
