What started as a wonderful experience dealing with Burrier has become a source of constant frustration. They installed a tankless system for us (January 2025), an HVAC heater (September 2025), and a humidifier into the HVAC (October 2025). They quoted me $300 for a valve replacement in writing before changing their mind if they would do the work, referring me to their parent company (Steingass) whose rep Jason came out. I asked Jason for two quotes, one for the one valve and one with an increased the scope, Jason verbally told me he'd quote that but the increased scope would only take a day of work. He then only quoted the increased scope at $3500 for two days of work. I emailed a reply to the quote but it bounced because their quote system doesn't send from an actual email address. Burrier installed the HVAC heating unit back in September but with piping that wasn't properly glued. This caused exhaust leaks into our basement during the winter when it turned on. They sold us a humidifier that doesn't work as promised. Despite multiple trips they initially couldn't find any issue. It was two months later that their installers found mineral buildup that shocked them and said to me that it looked like over a year since the filter was changed. So, we needed the added expense to add a separate water filter line. This was done at an upgraded post install cost. Unfortunately, even with this we still don't get good humidity (19% when set at 50%). Additionally, they scheduled a flush of our tankless system but their first tech who came on site only inspected the humidifier didn't do it. Then, techs came back several times for the humidifier none came with the equipment to flush it. I was told in writing by Tom that Lee would schedule but he didn't. I'm exhausted trying to stay on top of the issues. They don't follow up with me, I have to follow up with them. I have called and left voicemails that haven't been returned by the scheduling department. I have emailed sales. I wish they could have continued to be awesome like they were when we started working with them and hopefully they improve but for now I'm lowering from 5 stars to 2 stars to reflect the new reality of working with them. read more

If I could rate higher than 5 stars, I would. Tom Shannon and his team (Jeff and Mike) did an excellent job installing a new Trane central air unit. I'm recovering from surgery and Tom was great about working with family members in my absence. He was kind enough to reschedule the install to a week earlier when he had another customer reschedule. Tom and his team arrived on time, covered my flooring for protection, worked fast and cleaned up afterwards. They were respectful of the property and very friendly, too. Thank you Tom, Jeff and Mike! We had a major project dealing with removal of old equipment and install new Furnace, Media Filter, Power Humidifier, Air Scrubber, Air Conditioner, Condenser & Coil, New refrigerant line, Hot Water Tank, Expansion tank, Thermostat, Etc. Burrier was recommended by a friend and the experience was what you would want. Tom Shannon was professional and knowledgeable of what we needed with explanation on everything. The installers Kurtiss and Mike did an exceptional job with all that needed done. They gave updates as they went along and explanations of everything being done. They even pointed out a problem I had on the roof that I was unaware of. They went over everything again once completed. Based on previous quotes it saved us money too. I would highly recommend Burrier Services Co. I feel a lot better having reputable Trane equipment instead of the Lennox. It was a problem from day one. read more

Burrier recently installed a new Trane AC system in our home, and we have been pleased with every aspect of the process. From the original assessment of our problem, through the process of selecting our new unit and finally the installation. Everything happened without pressure and Tom Shannon did a great job of explaining our options and helping us choose the right replacement. The installation happened exactly on time as promised and Tim and Kurtiss were simply a joy to have working in our home. Very professional, knowledgeable, and just really nice people. Had Burrier HVAC do a complete hvac replacement system. Tom, the salesperson was very professional and informative. Their complete system and install cost was better then all other price quotes from other area hvac installers. The installation crew from Burrier, Shawn and Curtis were very professional, friendly and great installers, they got the job done in a timely and expertise manner and even went out of their way to repair a small humidifier water line issue. They were very clean during the whole install process. Can't say enough about the Burrier Company. Their receptionist is very friendly, professional and helpful. Would highly recommend them. We have used Burrier several times...They have always responded quickly like when the air conditioner broke on a 90 + degree day...or showing up on time to clean our furnace. My a/c stopped working and the temp in my condo was 92 degrees. After being told by two difference big/name companies that they couldn't get me scheduled until next week, I called Burrier and was thrilled to hear they could send someone over the same day!! I received a call saying they were on their way during the timeframe I'd been given and the techs were fantastic...polite, knowledgeable, and very patient when explaining exactly what the problem was to me in terms I could understand. And even better, they had all the parts they needed on their truck and were able to make the repairs in just over an hour. Never wrote a review before. In my experience, not a lot of companies give this level of service. They installed new hot water tank and furnace. Water tank was fine. After installing the furnace it ran but there was something wrong with it. What should have taken 1 day took 3. Not ideal, but nobodys fault. Instead of waiting for parts to ship from the manufacturer, they drove out to get them. It was also a little cold so they drove out space heaters to me. Point is, everyone at Burrier busted there ass to make everything right. Someone also noticed my AC unit was uneven. So they took the time to even it out and fix some wires that I hit with the weed wacker. Not there job. I will not use anyone else. read more

Let me beginning by saying if it were possible to give negative stars, I would! Over a month ago I hired Burrier to repair our Manitowoc ice machine. They came out to assess the situation and determined that the water pump was bad. We gave the okay to order the part and for them to install it. They came out to do the installation on June 3. Later that day, after the installation had been performed we realized that the machine was not producing the ice as it should, and that water was pouring out of the inlet and outlet to the pump, all over the electronics. We tightened the clamps, which the technician had left loose! Which resolved the water issue, but still the ice was not being made correctly. I called Burrier a few days later and reported our issues. A tech was sent out to determine why the machine was not functioning correctly. We were told two sensors needed replaced. We ordered the sensors a few weeks later. They came out to install them on July 2. The tech installed them and informed me that the machine was working just fine and had made 3 batches of ice. As I was sitting doing my work I realized that I hadn't heard any ice drop. I went to inspect the machine and realized that the technician had lied to me. No ice had been made at all! And, the grid where the ice forms was hot to the touch, and should be cold. The machine ran for a while attempting to work and then shut itself off. I called Burrier again. The same day they sent the tech back out with his supervisor. The two men spent quite some time staring at the machine, brushing of my inquiries as to what was happening. The supervising tech tried to tell me that our water pressure was too high. Which is false, as the machine can handle a maximum psi of 80. Which I informed him of. He then told me it is the expansion valve. They left with out giving me much information. I called the office to try to find out what was happening. After speaking with the owner of Burrier, he told me he believes the issues is actually the compressor, he told me he would contact me with a plan. Around this time the techs came back saying they needed to look at something, they put the screen filter back in, which they failed to put back when they were there originally. In the process they knocked the drain loose, and didn't notice. Then they left again.. So again, water is now coming out of my ice machine, this time on to the fan! We repaired that. After multiple calls, the owner informed me that they had an ice machine that he was willing to give us to make the situation right. He said he would get it up and running and contact me. A few days went by with no communication. I finally spoke with him and he informed me that the machine he was offering would not work. I informed him that I wanted a 100% refund or for him to repair my machine completely, on his dime. He agreed to the refund. But only offered $400, even though I had paid out over a thousand dollars at this point! This company is unprofessional, dishonest, and not capable of performing repairs properly. The tech was more concerned with chit-chatting than repairs, and haphazardly put the machine back together. The supervising tech was dismissive and called me "dear" in a very condescending manner. The owner made promises that he did not keep. After inspection of our ice machine we found multiple parts left loose, and also came to realize there is an onboard computer that can run diagnostics. But apparently Burrier didn't know that or they would have used it to determine the exact problem. I am out over $1000 just in payments to them, not including the bags of ice I've needed to purchased or the hourly wages I've had to pay an employee to sit and wait for these so called techs to not repair the machine! And, my ice machine still does not work! read more

I can't say enough about the service I received. The technician went above and beyond my expectations. He discovered an electrical problem when he hooked up the AC unit I was having installed, so I thought I would have to call in an electrician and post-pone the job. But no, he went up into my attic and found the problem (had to do with how it was wired the first time the AC was installed). He fixed it and was able to get the unit working. Then on top of this, the wall where the unit was installed had crumbled due to condensation since it was inside a closet. We expected to call a repair man to fix it after the AC was installed, but to my surprise the technician fixed that too! No extra charge for either!!! I highly recommend this company!!! read more

All started out great with these people. My wife and I have three restrauants and I had these people out at one of them a few times and I was happy but then they started sending un qualified techs out. We had them out for another issue and while here they replaced a thermostat for us and the tech wired it wrong. He wired it for single phase instead of two phase and when we called them because it wasn't cooling properly he came down from the roof and said he didn't find anything wrong and that he thinks something was loose and he may have tightened it down. To our surprise it still did not work right so we called out DMO another refrigeration company and they found extremely dirty filters and on a second trip out they discovered Burriers wiring mess. I called the owner of Burrier and tried to get reimbursement for my expenses to find his companies screw up. He refused to do anything claiming that I should have kept calling them out to diagnose the problem so they could have corrected it themselves. Every time they come out they charge heavy fees and they were completely clueless as what they were doing. I asked the owner how his tech could not have noticed the dirty filters and he said it was late in the day and his techs get tired and just wanna go home at that point. Are you kidding me? Just beware. I plan to file a small claims against this company. I will also file a complaint with the Better business bureau. I will also notify Angies list. This company needs to get out of business of refrigeration if they can't even install a thermostat read more
