I had worked as a roofer when I was younger so I knew the work well. They did a great job. Did a full tear off and repaired some rooted wood after the tear off. They cleaned up after the job. I will certainly call them the next time I need roofing and will recommend them to friends that I know need roofing.

Avoid this company at all costs. I hired them in 2022 to replace the roof on my home and garage,…read moreand it has turned into an absolute nightmare. From the start, the owners were incredibly unfriendly and defensive when I brought up immediate concerns. Not only did their crew damage my concrete driveway during the job, but the actual roofing work was completely botched. They skipped critical steps--they never laid down plywood decking like professional roofers do, and instead threw synthetic underlayment over the old boards. Now, the underlayment is "sweating" out the boards, trapping moisture, and causing the wood in my garage to rot and break apart under massive layers of white mold.Furthermore, the gutters were never installed correctly. They leak constantly, accelerating the rot underneath. The garage is now unlivable--sweltering hot in the summer and freezing in the winter. Worst of all, this same moisture damage is now starting to impact my main home. They also failed to provide the before-and-after photos they explicitly promised. They cut corners, ruined my property, and refused to stand by their work. Save your money and your home by going anywhere else.

Sometimes when you are dealing with an insurance company you need an advocate. Over the years…read morecounter Powers has been that advocate for me. August 6th of 2024 we had a tornado come through Concord township and we had quite a bit of damage to our roof. I called Connor he came over looked at the roof made some repairs I asked him if I should file an insurance claim he said no not yet we still don't know the extent of the damage. Brutally honest. Almost a year went by and I started to lose even more shingles and after I called Connor over one or two more times he said I'm afraid it's time to get that claim going your shingles have exhibited more damage than we thought. I was wondering why shingles were ending up in my garden beds. So I filed an insurance claim in September of 25 and to be quite Frank and quite honest it has been the worst experience in the world. Connor provided all of the pictures all of the paperwork that the provider requested and at times they would ghost us for weeks. It came up to almost October of 2025 but the weather is starting to turn when our roof was finally approved. Initially they tried to just replace 10 squares of shingles but they did not tell us where so they were hoping maybe throw some money at the insured and maybe he'll go away. Conor fought for me. He was able to patch my roof up with some tarping that you could actually barely notice. When spring came around and the snow was gone he had to have it about 40°. The roof job officially started. Unfortunately when he found some more rotted wood around my chimney he had to submit a supplement to the insurance company which again she straight up just ignored us for weeks. Connor was relentless. Between numerous emails and phone calls we finally got the attention of the insurance company again. They approved the supplement Connor made all of the repairs to my poor house. I referred him to anybody who will listen and needs roof work. What a straight-up honest nice man. Powers roofing for the win.

Highly recommended!…read more I called with multiple questions- needed tuckpointing on two chimneys, chimney caps to keep out the raccoons, and an inspection/cleaning of an old wood-burning stove. Scott came out for an inspection and gave me great advice- namely that I would need major repairs and updates to safely use the stove- so he advised me against spending the money to clean it unless I intended to commit to the rest of the project. Scott took his time and explained quite a bit to me. I was in a bit of a hurry to get the chimney work done because I had my new roof on hold waiting for the chimney repairs. Brian came out within a day or two to give me an estimate, then was able to sneak me into his schedule for the next week. Each time they said they would be there, they were. And everything was thoroughly cleaned up before they left! I have two awkwardly placed chimneys and had received multiple repair estimates. Some refused the job, others gave me estimates which were much higher than Good Knight's Sweep. One contractor wanted me to rent a manlift for $1000. Scott and Brian set up scaffolding- off of my upper deck for one of the chimneys, around the power lines for the other- and somehow made it look easy. Brian did the tuckpointing and replaced the crowns on two chimneys- the work was pristine, and they even went back up at the end of the day to clean up a small drip that I never would have noticed. Scott dropped a mothball in the chimneys to keep the raccoons out, then replaced the caps. I have had multiple consultations on how to get the raccoons out long enough to cap the chimneys, all were ridiculously expensive and involved trapping/killing the raccoons- so this solution was amazing. Fees for the caps were also lower than other quotes I received. Finally, I just want to say that these are such nice guys! Scott removed an old antenna that was on my roof and hauled it away. Brian cleaned up some unsightly discoloration on the side of my home that the HVAC guys had left. They could have easily said "sure, I'll do it for $50" or whatever- but both things were done really just as a favor. I'm not someone that normally writes reviews, but honestly just can't say enough good things about these guys. If you need any type of chimney or fireplace work, just call them and look no further.

This job finally involved about 45 min of work which included an inspection and pushing a brush up the metal liner in the fireplace chimney and some vacuuming. I find this service very poor value for the money spent.
