Instead of the usual omelet where you have to pick through a thick layer of eggs to find the fillings, this omelet had a thin egg wrap around a pile of chorizo, olives, caramelized onions and more. Yes, please! Been waiting to come here for quite some time and it finally happened. Very cute, modern establishment with table seating- indoor and out. I appreciated that besides the standard ketchup, they also had sriracha on the table with a few other condiments. I ordered the cheese curds, yuuummmm and the fish and chips. Fresh cod, kind of small pieces, but there were three of them and they were all piping hot, moist, and flaky. Serves along with a ginormous portion of cole slaw and fries. My friend got the fried pickles and a juicy Lucy. She also really enjoyed her meal. They were clean and the wait staff was friendly and attentive. I can't wait to come back! *They do have a small parking lot for about two cars, both handicap spaces I believe so you will have to drive around the block to find a spot and walk back. Flat out terrible service (which I think is supposed to be an Olympia niche and is supposed to fun/funny/unique???) and prices that are on par with Seattle and both just drive me nuts. If I ever eat here again, it'll be too soon. I came here at about 1030 and got the chicken and waffles in about six hours later after eating nothing else and just drinking water. Hi vomited up everything and I'm looking at the vomit. The chicken was pink, so I don't know what's going on in that kitchen between cross-contamination and under cooking everything somebody needs to get their head on straight instead of fucking poisoning. I put burgers into 2 categories, fast food type burgers and "sit down" type burgers. State and Central is without a doubt the absolute best "sit down" burger I have had in Thurston County. There are a few things that I think they can do just a little bit better, but the quality of the food isn't one of them. We had to ask our server twice to bring back the tap list, I like to have a couple beers while out, and rarely ever drink the same beer twice in one sitting, I would have liked for the beer list to stay on the table. Along the lines of the beer list, I hope that they vary things up a little bit with their beer selection. Like most places here in the PNW, the IPA rules the menu but I really would like to see a little more variety. A porter or a stout being added to the line up would be a perfect pairing with the best burger I have had in a really long time. I am putting this at 4 stars. I rarely give 5, but if I were doing this on the burger alone it would be a 5+ rating easily. If they would have left a beer menu on my table, or simply not taken it way twice, as well as adding just a touch more variety to the beer menu, this would have been a "no brainer" 5 star review. read more

Top notch eatery, and I don't say that lightly. I decided to check it out on a Friday night, and as you probably guessed, it was packed. I found a seat at the bar and noticed the grill was right in front of me...it was awesome to see everything prepared right there. The menu is a pretty standard pub menu, so I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and a pint of Irish Death. The beer was fantastic, but the burger...oh my god! This was the best pub burger I've ever had, and one of the best period. I usually take off the tomato, but not this time. The produce was fresh and delicious, and I downed the whole thing in under 5 minutes. I tried the chili dog on a subsequent visit, and was also blown away. Incredible food. Now, the staff...amazing. My waiter (Sam, I believe) was attentive, and very friendly. The cooks were ON POINT easily keeping up with the volume, and genuinely having fun...one guy was singing and dancing as he cooked. So awesome! Also, ignore the complaints you read about parking...the people griping apparently have no concept of patronizing a business in the downtown area. There is PLENTY of FREE street parking all along State Ave and 4th Ave on either side of the building. One of the best new businesses in Olympia definitely has a new regular. read more

A great neighborhood restaurant! They have a good size menu without being cluttered or overwhelming. We came here for dinner on a Saturday night. We had to wait outside for a few minutes but they quickly put two tables together for our party of four. The staff is quick & friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun but on the louder side due to close proximity of the tables. They have a full bar where you can sit in. The seats at the tables and bar are comfortable, the tables are a generous size. We ordered the fried pickles, which were amazing. They were hot, crisp but not soggy or greasy. We also ordered burgers, the grilled chicken sandwich, & fish & chips. The food was good, one of the best burgers I've had in awhile. The fish & chips were average, nothing spectacular. The fries were handcut & delicious! The have housemade lemonade, which is cold & tart. Also had The Score, which was yummy. We will definitely come back again. The only issue I can see is when it starts to rain again, there isn't anywhere but outside to wait for a table, which may be an issue. read more

we stopped in for lunch today. we ordered the juicy lucy burgers for couple of us and fish and chips for the third person in our group. food was mediocre, and the service subpar. my friend specially requested no onions in the burger, but i think this was too complex of a task for them to follow as she got onions with her burger. the server did offer to correct the situation as far as bringing another burger, but we did not have the time to wait for them to do that. so my friend just took the onions out herself. additionally when i walked over to get some hand san, my mask slipped down a bit, and our server daniel rudely asked me to put the mask on. i understand covid is very serious, but he could have asked in a courteous tone of voice to put my mask back on properly. i will not visit this establishment again. read more
