Three amigos salsa with chips
Pranjali S.

We came here for a quick drink and an appetizer. The visit was not quick because of the slow service, even when the restaurant was not busy. Once seated, it took a while before a server came to get our order. We had questions about the different draft beer options. The server offered us an opportunity to taste the ones we wanted for 25c. This is the first time we have paid for a tasting, which we found very weird. Once we made the decision, we had to sit on it because the server did not show up for a while after she had provided us with the samples to taste. I ordered a mango jalapeno margarita, which arrived and I got through around half of it before we got the lager we wanted. The lager was ok. The margarita was also ok with hardly any paprika on the rim. We ordered the three amigos salsa trio - sweet mango, spicy peach Serrano, cantina style to accompany the drinks. The salsas were off the charts. The cantina style was SPICY! The spicy peach Serrano was also spicy but more along the lines of hot and sweet. The sweet mango actually felt very nice after the other two salsas. If you love spicy food, we definitely recommend getting the salsas. Here is how bad the service was: we asked for water at least twice while we dealt with the hot salsas, and none arrived. My husband had to take the ice out of my margarita to calm his tongue down. We did consider staying on and ordering more food, but the slow service changed our minds. The pricing was ok. Ambiance is typical Mexican restaurant with low light. Portion sizes of food seemed pretty large on the tables around us. It seemed to get busy as we were leaving the restaurant around 7 pm.

Great place to have a beer or cocktail and some food. Chiming shaved prime rib was really good. We got great service from Ashley. The entire crew was quick and friendly. Parking on site. A very good choice for either grabbing a drink or eating after spending time on the lake or hiking to Horsehoe Bend....

I came here for dinner since they had decent reviews on all platforms. I have to say, I was not that impressed with the food. We ordered Jamaican Jerk chicken wings, deep fried avocado, and 2 burgers. I personally had the cowboy burger, and that was good, but nothing amazing. The BBQ sauce on it was good, though. The side of sweet potato fries were soggy and very salty. I barely ate them. The chicken wings were also very salty, and the meat was dry. The deep fried avocado saved the evening. The crispy outside with the nicely textured avocado on the inside. I do recommend this appetizer. I probably wouldn't come back if I was in the area again. I would want to try somewhere else. 2.5 stars. Not a 2, so I will give 3.

Blk bean burger with sweet potato fries

I'll start by saying I'm grateful to have found a place with not 1 but 2 vegan options on the menu. I decided on the blk bean burger with sweet potato fries. It was loaded with avocado slices which was perfect addition to help with the dryness of the actual patty and bread as they didn't have any vegan sauces or spreads. The service was ok, we did wait a while for our order to be taken being that it was 5pm and not quite busy. We also waited a bit long for our food to arrive. The restaurant itself is divided into 2 sections the bar side and sit down dinning area. The lighting inside the dinning area we were sitting in had a flickering effect that was a bit annoying as the place wasn't very bright and very dim. Overall it was good place to grab a bite after a long day of exploring.

Steak, Brussel sprouts, sweet potato fries, ketchup.

Service was alright. And the wings were decent, from what I heard - they were what you'd expect from a bar/tavern in a smaller city. The steak though... complete SHIT. $44 for a tasteless slab of meat, no seasoning, barely any salt and pepper. Funny how they had a special section on their menu, highlighting their "grill specialties" as if it were prepared any better Same can be said about the side of roasted vegetables. Literally NO salt and they were undercooked. Tasted like I was eating raw brussel sprouts. Sweet potato fries were alright. Front desk service pretty incompetent as well. Seating took too long - many other parties were seated before us even though they walked in after and were the same size party.

Passing thru town and felt the itch for some hearty all America food. The cowboy burger was excellent, fries were MEH. The fried avocados looked great on the menus, but in reality was over-battered and also very MEH. Overall a good experience and hearty eats

Our server Joy, was very sweet and accommodating- we really appreciated her willingness to make honey mustard when they didn't have it, and her offer to bring an extra plate for my parents who shared a meal. The interior is super cute with photographs of the area by local artists that are available for purchase. We had the cowboy burger, which was huge. Pretty sure I needed to unhinge my jaw like a snake to eat that thing. It was very tasty with perfectly cooked bacon and a sweet bbq sauce. The sweet potato fries were perfectly seasoned. I had the avocado and bean tacos. They were ok, but I finally squeezed the lemon on them that they were served with and OMG- it really brought out the flavor. Don't be like me. Squeeze the lemon on the tacos first thing. Overall, great food and great service and I would recommend!

Loved the vibes of this place, it has nice rustic charm. It's a great place to have a drink and chill out after the tiring day you would have at canyons. We did not have to wait for the table, service is a bit slow. But the food was really delicious. I liked everything we ordered. Also the food on the nearby tables looked delicious. I wish I had gone with a bigger appetite. Would recommend this place.

Tried based on the last Yelp reviews and also had amazing service with Ashley. Salsa trio was tasty and came with a huge bowl of chips. Both had prime rib that was very prepared medium rare as requested. The side salad was mixed greens not lettuce with tomatoes and cucumber. Very good.

Everything was phenomenal! Good vibes/atmosphere, friendly quick staff, top notch food. Compliments to the chef. Definitely coming back! Jordan, Adriano, and Tyler were particularly wonderful. Had the pulled pork sandwich, mac n cheese, broccoli cheddar soup, pulled pork fries, peanut butter chocolate pie, strawberry cheesecake.

Also had ants on the table towards the end of our meal

Food was very average. Drinks were fun, crafted. Basic tables right next to each other. Not much for atmosphere.

Went inside and to the bar where we were acknowledged by "looking for the menu, it's up above" and sure enough it is affixed to the wall above the bar. I gave my order to the husband while I went to the lady's restroom. The lady's restroom was clean and orderly with 2 stalls and sufficient supplies. Husband says the same or similar regarding the men's room. Came back and went to the table the husband had picked out. I went over and then veered to the condiments bar. Picked up napkins, plastic silverware, mayo and mustard. Husband had ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries for him and a salad plus chicken for me. Each agreed to glasses of water. Husband said the fella behind the bar was a nice young guy. Visited just a bit, then the food was brought to us. The burger looked good as well as the fries. Not sure if the husband didn't want catsup or if it wasn't available. The salad was filling and good with lettuce, a small bit of diced red onion, quite a bit of diced celery, and some tomato atop a bed of ribbon sliced lettuce. We ate and looked around, we couldn't see the chef and the bartender had gone to deliver drinks to a people on the outdoor deck. Oddities: 2 salad dressings avail: Ranch or Italian? Cheese on salad was chopped sandwich/burger type. Overall: Limited menu with the basics of what you'd want to quickly grab - burger, a couple sandwiches with a wrap option, chips or fries, and this garden salad. People we encountered were not friendly nor unfriendly, we were unknowns in the golf clubhouse. It was all even toned ride while we rode the wave. All was cool.

Our party of four ordered five dishes and three drinks. When we received the bill, a 15% tip had already been added automatically, without any prior notice. We initially did not realize this and were about to add another tip on top of the amount that already included gratuity. Something seemed off, so we checked the receipt and discovered that the 15% tip had already been included without our knowledge or explanation. When we asked the waiter about it, he completely avoided eye contact, gave us a vague, evasive response, and walked away without properly addressing our question. That reaction only made the situation more concerning. Looking through this restaurant's Google reviews afterward, we found that the automatic 15% tip was a recurring complaint. Given the number of similar reports, it is difficult to dismiss this as an isolated mistake. Please do not call this an accident. In response to other reviews, the management has reportedly justified the automatic 15% gratuity as a convenience for customers. But if that were genuinely the intention, why were we not clearly informed when the bill was presented? Why did the waiter fail to explain it when we specifically asked? Customers generally calculate their tip based on the total and the percentage they choose to leave. Adding a gratuity without clearly disclosing it, then presenting the bill without explanation, creates a situation in which customers can unknowingly pay a tip twice. Whatever the management's stated intention, this is not a transparent or customer-friendly practice. If the automatic gratuity is meant to be a convenience, informing customers upfront should be the bare minimum. The entire experience left us with the strong impression that this practice takes advantage of tourists and international visitors, particularly in a remote destination where many customers may be passing through only once and may never return. It is deeply disappointing to see a business operate in a way that makes visitors feel they are being overcharged simply because they are unlikely to come back. Places like this damage the reputation of the Grand Canyon as a world-renowned tourist destination. A restaurant should earn its tips through good food, good service, and honest communication--not rely on customers overlooking an undisclosed charge. I strongly advise international visitors and tourists from outside the area to think twice before dining here. Based on our experience and the similar complaints posted by other customers, I would not recommend this restaurant.

Located within Yavapai Lodge in Grand Canyon Village, my partner and I stopped at this establishment for lunch in June. Yavapai Tavern is a casual, charming stone-accented watering hole offering a selection of regional craft beers, specialty cocktails, and a limited pub-grub menu. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. Basically, one orders food at one of the registers, gets a table number, pays the bill, and leaves an optional tip. We decided on the American burgers, one with Provolone cheese and another with American cheese, including an optional side of house-made potato salad or macaroni salad. Our meal was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly, and full of flavor. However, the wait for food was long. Prices were affordable, especially considering the location inside the park. The staff was helpful when asked directly. This place also seemed to be less crowded than most other restaurants. While there weren't views of the Grand Canyon from the restaurant itself, the atmosphere still contributed to a nice dining experience.

The place is huge, but we were seated and served very quickly. The seating isn't the comfiest but there is plenty. Long tables, hug bar, arcade games, and a merch area. We ordered a couple beers (the pickle beer was legit), the carnivore pizza, and the cheese curds. All really good. The self serve water and soda is convenient too. Now our second visit made me love this place. The reunion was 30 family members on two house boats on Powell for a week. We had to preload those boats and by the time that chaos was done, us 'youngins' were beat and needed drinks and food. Sadly, we showed up at 8p, the kitchen was closed, and they close at 830p. The biggest issue was the service. There appeared to be plenty of staff working, yet getting any attention was surprisingly difficult. We practically felt invisible throughout our visit. It wasn't a matter of being understaffed, just a noticeable lack of attentiveness. The beer and spirits were equally underwhelming. For a place that specializes in brewing and distilling, I expected considerably more. Nothing we tried really stood out or made us want to order another round. On the positive side, the food was decent, and the atmosphere was easily the highlight of the visit. Ultimately, a cool venue and decent food can only make up for so much. When both the service and the beverages fall short at a brewery and distillery, it's hard to justify a return visit.

There is one couple finishing up and my friend and I in the place. She asked about drinks and I ordered a soda. When I looked at the menu, I realized that the flat Mountain Dew was costing $5. They did replace it and it was fizzy the 2nd time. It was served in a plastic cup....there were condiment holders on the tables....the fast food restaurant kind with sugar and ketchup packets in it. No salt or pepper. We ordered pretty dang expensive food. Now we are the only ones there so you would assume it would be piping hot and fresh. I can tell you it was the worst burger I have had in a long time!! It was supposed to be 1/2 lb. (Not that I wanted it but that was all they had) and it was smaller than a McDonald's quarter pounder. They advertise extra crispy fries that were sort of crunchy but super pale like they weren't really cooked. Thinking they might be microwave fries. Nothing was hot...in fact barely warm. The cheese wasn't melted. Mushrooms were cold. VERY disappointing. Taste was not good. Needless to say mine is going home to chickens. My friend got the fish and chips. Same weird white fries. And meat that looked kind of like chicken fried steak....we think it was fish. They had no tartar sauce so brought a giant dish of Italian dressing. Hers was also barely warm. Drinks were never topped off. The one girls working ( she may have been the cook too?) was friendly enough and polite. She was the best thing the place had going for it. Save your money and get that $19 burger and white fries down the street. Heck even fast food is served hot. Too bad. The atmosphere could be fabulous.
