Great brewery, good beer, food and service. The Diablo burger was tasty. All of our entrees were very good.

Stopped in for happy hour beers and snacks. Sat at outside bar and Jazz was our sweet bartender.Love their Cherry Sour beer but also had the Mexican lager which was tasty too. My spouse enjoyed both his dark beers. We shared ham and cheese sliders and deviled eggs off $7 happy hour menu. Good tasting food. We saw them bring out a brick oven pizza which looked delicious. We want to come back again and try one.

Our food came out burnt, when we told our waiter he said let me tell them, never came with a replacement. Asked to give to us to go, after waiting like 15+ minutes He came back with an empty box

As a brewery fanatic I'm so happy I found this place. The food was so good, the service great, and their drinks solid. They had a big tap list, but also many different mixed drink options. Their grilled chicken salad had some of the best dressing I've ever had, and their pizza was great. I wish I would have asked for the fries extra crispy- but the toppings were great!

The ambiance is only held to the standard of my bartender, JAZZ! ( Amazing and Hot) !Whom keeps the vibe going with great talk and cold drinks. The food is great, chicken wings I recommend dry rub. Rich Infante, So CAL

Let's start with the good. The food was excellent. I enjoyed my Rodeo burger and side salad, with a Diet Coke. Everything food-wise was great. The portions were giant and came out hot and fresh. My companion's Steak Cobb was also well-received. However, at 1 PM on a Wednesday, where there were less than 10 tables occupied, our food took about 45 minutes to arrive (again, fresh and tasty.) Then, when we asked for a check, that took about 10 minutes to arrive. The service was incredibly slow and our server did not seem to think anything of it. I have been here before and had good service, however, that was not the case today.

I loved it so much I got it again, the next day. To go, this time. It was just as good.

This is one of my top spots for craft beer! The food is delicious. I haven't had a bad thing there! The fish tacos are delicious and fairly priced, wings are good, fish and chips! But what I like most is their selection of dark beers! And once in a while, they have barley wine!! AK48, Hell Bitch and a few others are my go-to! But I've had some good barley wines too! That's the first thing that I ask for when I go

    Warm beer

Plain and simple, warm beer! Even when I asked for a cold one, new one came, still warm!! Guys, you are a brewery, you have to serve your beer COLD!! UNLESS YOU'RE IN GERMANY OR SOMEWHERE ELSE, NOBODY WANTS WARM BEER!!

We came in Sunday afternoon for a few drinks at the bar. We had a horrible experience with their barrel room in the past, but decided to check out the bar area this go round. We don't order any food, but our bartender was great and service on point. Draft Beer was good and prices fair. We did just walk into the bar area as the hostess station was empty for a solid five minutes. Vibe is pretty laid back. We just wished for better tv placement from the bar to watch the game.

Ask the Community - State 48 Brewery

Can I bring a non state 48 growler to fill?

    You sure can.

    Do they serve Guinness?

I love Guinness, but State 48 doesn't have it. They have a large variety of other beers to choose from that are amazing.

Has anyone tried their GF pizza?

Their GF pizza is not truly GF. They sprinkle flour on the bottom of the pizza oven before the crust goes in. So if you have an allergy, this is not safe to eat.

Dog friendly in outdoor seating area?

Yes it is! I bring my dog there whenever I'm in town.

You all handled the chaos like total pros. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, the service was beyond what you'd expect on such a busy day, and the food completely blew me away. We ordered the smash burger with sautéed onions, a Reuben, chicken nuggets, and the cottage pie (which someone in line recommended and wow... they were right). Everything was made perfectly. The portions were very generous and the flavor was absolute perfection. I was so impressed. It honestly felt like a big warm hug in my stomach. The cottage pie was incredible, and this is coming from someone who has tried many shepherd's pies over the years and never found one I really loved. This one changed that. The smash burger was juicy and delicious, the nuggets were juicy and delicious (This coming from my nugget pro), but the moment I took a bite of the Reuben (one of my all time favorites) I almost regretted not ordering the corned beef and cabbage too. This was a limited menu for a super busy event day, which just makes me even more excited to come back and try more. Highly recommend. Thank you for such a great experience!

The food was particularly good, one of our party had the Bangers and Mash another had the Irish Ruben, I had the Irish BLT and spouse had a salad (diet time) everything seasoned well and cooked just right. Everything was fresh, hearty, and full of flavor. Whether you are a local or just passing through Florence, this place is a gem. Great for brunch on the weekends, date night, or just grabbing a pint and some pub grub. We will be back soon. If you are looking for an authentic Irish experience in Arizona, look no further!

In lay man's terms, it's effectively a giant hot pocket but the filling is ultra rich, savory and filling. I tried the og - which historically is beef, potatoes and root vegetables and it was definitely thick and filling - the red wine gravy is a must on it as it's a little dry otherwise. My wife tried the Guinness stew one and that was the winner in my book - umami rich, ultra savory tender beef stew with good vegetal notes. They have tons of other combinations that looked interesting - bangers and mash and shepherds pie to name a few. This place screams British pub and glad I got to try some of this piece of history!

THE BEST CHIPS (FRIES)!…read more As a British expat, I'm always happy to try a new British restaurant, so I had to try this one while visiting Phoenix. The pasty and gravy were authentic and delicious. The chips were some of the best I've had in a very long time, if not ever. The restaurant is large with an upper and lower level and patio dining. It has a pub-like feel. Use the QR to view the menu, but order through the waiter. (This isn't quite obvious, so a sign stating 'Order with the waitstaff' would make things more clear). There are a variety of pasty flavors to choose from. The bathrooms are completely graffitied -- I think they've chosen to make that part of the decor. Don't let them scare you off! Today, I was walking near my office and came across the Downtown Phoenix location of Cornish Pasty. I enjoyed a tasty lunch with good service, and I am already looking forward to heading back there. When I approached the restaurant from the corner of Central and Monroe, it wasn't clear which door was the door I should enter though it seems like any door off Monroe or Central is just fine. There were limited number of tables plus the bar, and I was delighted to see a small table available. I was eating on my own with a book, and I was quickly greeted by one of several team members who stopped by my table over my lunch hour. I asked a few questions about three options, and I decided upon the Chicken Pot Pie Signature Pasty consisting of chicken, carrots, red potato, green beans, celery, and onion with rosemary. There was also chicken gravy on the side. Everything about the dish was delicious! I would consider ordering this again as I enjoyed it so much; however, I may want to try something else next time. There are so many options! I did learn though that you cannot substitute most options in the pasties. Visit the Cornish Pasty website at https://www.cornishpastyco.com. On the website is the history of the Cornish pasty, information about all 11 locations (of which 9 are in Arizona), menus, a photo gallery, catering options, contact form, employment options, online ordering, and gift cards. The menu consists of their signature pasties and premium pasties though they also list vegan and vegetarian pasties, salads, appetizers and soups, sides, desserts, and drinks. While the Scottsdale and Tempe locations appear larger than the Downtown Phoenix location, it was still comfortable and had similar positive customer service from staff. There are so few restaurants like the Cornish Pasty in the Phoenix area. I'd certainly recommend visiting any of the Cornish Pasty locations though for a positive experience Downtown, feel free to stop by. No reservations are needed. If you don't find a regular table available, feel free to stop at the bar and take a seat there. I look forward to returning back to the Cornish Pasty again soon. Yum!
