I've been coming here for years and it's always top tier service. Mai is my go to for pedicures (I get ingrown toe nails & she digs deep to get it out) Linh usually does my nails and she always out does herself. Staff is friendly upon arrival and they try their best to sit you as quickly as possible. Quality of service is very poor. They all tend to work harshly and quickly. They rip off excessive skin (both pedicure and manicure) . Just as others have mentioned they drew blood (from both feet and hands) . They do not know how to work with gel x . I asked if they could remove gel x nails , they assured me they could. However, they proceeded to very harshly remove my gel x nails. By the end of the service there was still quite a lot of gel x residue on my nails. I politely pointed this out to nail tech and owner. They said it was just glue and did not seem to care about assisting me further. Will not be back and do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

It's been about 7-8 years since I've gotten my nails done and especially with this whole pandemic happening it's been tough. Finally decided it's time to give it a chance. As soon as you walk in there's a table with hand sanitizer and temperature machine, there's plexi glass at all stations and employees are wearing masks. I saw Lynn yesterday and she was extremely Rude and sloppy. She cut me twice with out any remorse. My nails are poorly shaped and she didn't seem to appreciate my asking her to fix the shape. Lynn said she knew what she was doing and wouldn't leave me that way. She attempted to reshape them and did a poor job again. I was afraid she'd cut me again in the process. She really didn't seem to care and was more concerned about her text messages than her paying client. She also said that they only do 1 coat of polish on acrylic nails because otherwise they come out too bulky. Wow!! Something is wrong with her and it's affecting her work ethic and possibly become part of her character which is flippant. I wouldn't recommend this place to any paying customers. read more

I'm unsure how to explain my experience here. It was almost empty when I walked in and it looked dirty and unkept. I was desperate for a color change because the last tech totally botched up my nails. It was like a 5 year child painted my nails and I needed to do a simple And quick color change. After looking at my hands I realized I might as well get a manicure. My cud's where needing some Love. Conversation went something like this.. Me: I was going to get a color change but I think I'll get a manicure Tech: Let me see nail Honey.. Me: *shows hand* Tech: No Honey, you no need Manicure. Only color change. Me: Umm, I think I want a manicure Tech: NO NO HONEY, YOUR NOT HEAR WHAT I SAY. NO MANICURE, COLOR CHANGE BETTER! Me: Are you YELLING at me? Tech: um, no HONEY.. I know yell. You want manicure? Me: yes please. Tech: what color? Me: *chooses colors.* this.. and can you put a little sparkle on it. Tech: it cost you $10 for manicure and $5 for sparkle Me: *!!!!- never coming here again* Fine, let's just get it over with. 45 minutes later I ended up with choppy nails and uneven glitter sparkles. She was rude and yelling the majority of the time. And would leave to answer the phone and tend to other customers for 5+ minutes at a time. NO WAY IM GOING BACK!!!! May 2021 Bad service. Rushed work and very expensive for cheap material. I had dipped powder, paid $65 and it lasted no more than 3 days. So may is amazing I love her she is very caring I've been coming here for like 8-9 yrs cuz it's its close and the other staff is nice as well it's just can't afford $45 just for a gel pedicure all the time and there has been some times I wait long even when making a appointment and I get it busy but like then give me like 5 bucks off if I'm already gunna pay at least $40 for just toes but I will still come I just don't come as often as I like do to the price read more

Not a great experience. I paid 25 dollars to dip my feet in hot water and have my nails annihilated (no, I do not mean this positively). They didn't do a good job at all. They are rude and do not care about the wellbeing of their clients. Go to another salon to get your nails done. read more

If I can give this place a negative stars l would!! I don't know who did my nails but I'm pretty sure it was the owner. She literally made me bleed!! Not by cutting my nails but by using the filing machine so close to my cuticle. Literally filed my skin off!! I needed a last minute nail set and I'd thought to give this place a try but never again!!! I felt like she rushed through. Left my pinky nail completely crooked. I brought my own nail sticker designs from Amazon and she still managed to mess the sticker designs up. Some were left crinkled underneath the gel polish and 2 are even lifting. Like come on!!! She didn't have to draw any designs and still made it look like like someone drew these stickers on with their left hand. This is my first time ever making a bad review, but it's unacceptable to make someone bleed and leave the nails completely jacked. And after that have the audacity to ask for a tip. I'm one for giving credit when credit is due . I want to share my experience with Starlight Nails. I've been living in this area for over 20 yrs . This quaint nail salon is conveniently located down the street from my house . Unfortunately as humans sometimes we are quick to judge because we tend to be visual creatures. I remember years back being in a rush to get my nails done and walking out simply by first impression of salon. As I said it's quaint . No fancy storefront or luxury decor. As years passed I have been to multiple salons . Gravitating to the salons with the fancy salons and overhyped newest trends in nails . Some of the places are great and you walk out like you're popping lol . Unfortunately a few days later you have a nw set of nails that is quickly falling apart . Once you start reaching for your own nail glue you know it's time to move on . A few months ago I wanted to get my nails done but I truly dread sitting more than an hour due to back pain , not to mention dishing out 60$ to end up with a broken nail a few days later . Stepping out of my comfort zone: As I contemplated going back to one of my old spots but knew I'd wait forever & wasn't going to any special event I decided to try something a little more simple. I walked in to Starlight. From the outside same simple storefront . Inside I noticed obvious simple upgrades . I was greeted right away by Lynn . She was very welcoming. Luckily after telling her what I needed she directed me to her station right away . I quickly looked around at their very well stocked selection of gel polishes , powders , glitters and the newer trends such as ombré and matte selections . I'm usually very detailed as far as how I want my nails and always mention that for some reason within days my nails literally start ungluing . She told me not to worry . Suggested some powder shades and knew exactly the shape I wanted . My own nails are quite small in width and most places use very wide tips or don't trim corners as Lynn did . She was extremely friendly and worked so fast but not sloppy . She knew the customers walking in by name , asked about their families and showed legitimate interest in any dialogue she engaged in . Her staff was also friendly and exchanged smiles with customers. In conclusion you're getting amazing service without the glam . Who cares as long as facility is clean and sanitary as they are . Skip the fancy set up , not worth it if you're not getting quality results. read more

Sloppy gel manicure. Just got my nails done yesterday afternoon and the middle of my nail is bubbling.. will probably chip very soon. This usually happens when the polish is old or doesn't cure correctly. Also have messy sides of my nails that the polish didn't completely fill. Cherry on top is the horrible file job. Got a Gel Pedicure With Callus Removal and it came out to $40. Way too overpriced and service wasn't worth that price. For $40 it didn't include a scrub, hot towel wrap, or even a massage. My callus remover didn't even get done 100% I could still feel the edges of my feet still in need of a good scrub. The polish applied looks great, but for that amount I would never go back. read more

Do not go here. I called ahead and made an appointment asked for a manicure and gel set and when I went it the lady I spoke to flipped out because I needed a fill and I said no I need a manicure and a gel I have nails on already but I need u to take them off and then give me new ones and it was a whole issue so finally I just get my manicure when I ask the lady doing my actual nails if I can have a gel set she said oh yes of course and then proceeds to buy the gel on my real nail and when I ask for the fake she says well everyone's is busy rn! What!?! I need my nails done for a vacation I'm going on so I say ok that's fine when she's done!! My usual may be a lady was busy so I decided to go and search just around the area I I saw the nail place wasn't too busy so I decided to give them a try honestly it's really expensive the nails I got for like $65 they're short gel nails I also got a pedicure I noticed on their door they have a price list and when I went to pay he charged me $100 which either the pedicure was 35 and my nails were 65 which are not worth it because they're short or my pedicure was 65 go figure they don't give you a receipt either read more

I went in today (Tuesday) around 3pm. There was just one girl getting a pedi. I was greeted right away and asked what I needed. I went in for a pedi and full set. The girl who did me pedicure did a really good job, and was extremely gentle. The lady that did my nails did a really good job as well. I got a colored powder rather than a gel or regular nail polish. Everything came out to $65 which isn't bad since I got get nail polish on my toes. I will definitely be back! read more

I used to come here about 5 years ago. I have no idea why I stopped (moved) anyhow my usual place is always extremely busy. Lately they haven't been doing such a great job. So I decided to drive back to Starlight Nails I was pleasantly surprised all the ladies that were here before are still here. They are super sweet and nice. I had a wonderful experience at this nail salon! The customer service was excellent, and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Winnie and Lynn took great care of me and did an amazing job on my nails and pedicure. They were attentive, professional, and made sure I was happy with everything. This place has gotten a lot of popularity and it has been getting pricier because of it. Still, the service here is really good and the nails come out looking so fresh and neat. They accept cash or card here, so it's really convenient. Make sure to get an appointment so you don't have to wait too long. Oh yeah, they do eyebrow threading here too! read more

I overheard Kim talking talking about customer service, that no matter what it's always good to speak up. They can't read your minds, and they are professionals but nobody is perfect. It's true. I've heard women come in to places to get their feet or hands done and they are rude to the manicurist. Overall, I will be back because of the customer service.

From the moment I walked in I was greeted with such a warm welcome by Anna that I immediately knew I was in good hands. I came in for full set w/pedicure and they did not disappoint. I am more than pleased with not only the service levels, but also the care they put into their work. Anna did an amazing job getting my feet all the way together and Kim so masterfully did my full set. I was outdone when Kim wasn't completely satisfied (I didn't even notice an imperfection), but she quickly apologized and asked if I had time for her to correct it. By this time I'm shocked because I've been to salons that try to hide imperfections and hope you don't notice. Kim wasn't having ANY of that. They got me ALL the way together. I will drive all the way from Murrieta to come here from now on because it is hard to find someone so passionate about what they do. Do your hands & feet a favor and stop in. I'm confident you will not be disappointed.
