I was looking for a nail spa other than the one I usually go to since the wait Time was long ways to go, I read reviews before calling and this place was the only one with good reviews. I've been living in La Puente for many years. The outside isn't so pleasant but it's usually the ones that have nice ppl inside that are the places that are worth going to. It's also about what you want as in a fill or full set upon entering. Kim greeted us with smiles which was very comforting. My sister and I needed a fill and full set and of course a repair on my nail. The man that worked on me was named, Niev. He was very kind. He introduced himself. He wasn't too pushy but very quiet. I didn't mind that since I wasn't looking to talk much. It was slow inside. It was just myself and my sister. There's no AC, but the breeze from the outside was enough. I overheard Kim talking talking about customer service, that no matter what it's always good to speak up. They can't read your minds, and they are professionals but nobody is perfect. It's true. I've heard women come in to places to get their feet or hands done and they are rude to the manicurist. Overall, I will be back because of the customer service. read more

Have you ever had service so good that you wanted to tell EVERYONE about it so they don't miss out??? Well, that's the experience from this nail salon. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with such a warm welcome by Anna that I immediately knew I was in good hands. I came in for full set w/pedicure and they did not disappoint. I am more than pleased with not only the service levels, but also the care they put into their work. Anna did an amazing job getting my feet all the way together and Kim so masterfully did my full set. I was outdone when Kim wasn't completely satisfied (I didn't even notice an imperfection), but she quickly apologized and asked if I had time for her to correct it. By this time I'm shocked because I've been to salons that try to hide imperfections and hope you don't notice. Kim wasn't having ANY of that. They got me ALL the way together. The customer service was good and all the ladies were sweet but the nails just didn't stand up. Me and two friends went and both of their nails started to fall off by the next day. I wish I could put a zero star. I came in wanting a simple pedicure and take off of my SNS dip powder nails. The pedicure was a shortest 7min service I ever received. Yet, I gladly agreed to pay the $13. For my nail take off, the lady had me soak my nails for about 20mins. She then attempted to use a nail file. When the nail file didn't work, she proceeded to try and CUT OFF the powder. My nail started to bleed. I asked if she knew was she was doing. She stated the powder was hard to get off. I had to tell her how to take off dipping powder. I would rather her have told me in the beginning that she did not know how. Yet, I let her continue the take off of my other nails. Literally did NOTHING. I still have powder on my nails. My nails were unevenly filed. And my hand is full of drier acetone. This was my first and last visit. And no, I did not pay for my take off or "manicure" service. read more

I came here last minute with decent reviews so I thought why not just try this place out. The place looks nice, not busy, really nice people. Needless to say they didn't get the job done right. Some were shaped differently and some nails were bumpy and Kim didn't do my nails all the way to the bottom of my nail and even left a hair on my ring finger which I didn't notice until after I left. The workers were very nice and took their time doing my nails. This was my first time getting acrylics and the man helping me was very nice and gentle making sure not to hurt me. I was looking for a specific color and couldn't find it, so he helped me pick one very similar by going through some nail wheels they have. I asked to get a marble nail but they don't do that design sadly, so a lady named Kim (I think that's what her name was) did a different kind of design and it looked BEAUTIFUL! Went today for the first time and had a full set of acrylics, pedicure and eyebrows done. Nails were on point and they were very attentive. Everyone was incredibly nice. I loved how my nails came out. no complaints for my hands and feet. But I do have to agree with other reviewers this is NOT the place to do your eyebrows. Despite asking not to make them thinner and emphasizing that I like thick eyebrows she still made them super thin. I could honestly cry. But my fault for not listening to the reviews. DONT GET EYEBROWS DONE HERE unless you like them thin. I regret it so much and who knows how long it will take me to grow them back. read more

It was ok. I paid about 25 dollars for gel nails, they only do one color on the nails no ombres. my nails hurt after so they were kinda rough on them. My nails are kinda crooked and I asked for coffin nails which they kinda rounded. Also the glitter color I asked for didn't look like the swatch xc. OKAY. so I have been coming here for a while,I would say for about a year or so. I have given this place many chances hoping I'd change my mind about it but sadly I think this most recent visit will be my last visit. I came in for a fill with regular nail polish , and Jimmy was the one working on my nails. Majority of the time, he is the one who always does my nails BUT he did them SO FAST, he didnt even properly take off the previous nail polish completely which left a black residue, didn't shape them properly and applied the nail polish so quickly and messy AND here's the worst part..so I came home and besides the fact of noticing all the issues with the color application and shaping, I noticed the nail polish changed colors !!!! I got their #60 Opi which was a blush pink but once I came home the tips starting turning ORANGE. This has never happened to me in all my years of getting my nails done. I have no idea why this would happen, maybe they used an old nail polish I'm guessing. I just think when you go to a place where the price is very cheap you kind of get what you pay for. I visited this shop last Saturday. I got a mani-pedi and a wax done. I am really happy with the wax. My eyebrow look great. Kim told me I need my lip done too. The shop is nothing special but comfortable. The manicure was done by Jimmy. Both Jimmy and Kim are good. They were alittle rough but got the job done. I did have some ingrowns and she got them. It was a little painful. Jimmy did a good job on my cuticles, but could of used more lotion on the massage part. It was a little dry. The price was good $20 for a spa pedi and Mani. $10 for the brow and lip wax. I will come back to see Kim. read more

First time I did it it the work was great, customer service too!! I normally don't come to this one but since where I go was packed so I came here,6 and I did not like it one bit, I did manicure and pedicure, first let me tell you the lady which I think is the owner started doing my pedicure which was good because from a previous time I liked how she did it, well she didn't seem happy to do it but she was doing it, then as soon as another older lady was done she had her continue just so that she can go sit down and do nothing, and the poor lady did a basic servirte, she didn't really took out the ingrown nails, and when she painted them it was bad, same with the old gentleman who did my manicure, he was so hard it hurt my nails. Anyways I didn't came again until this Sunday!!! It was bad i got the exact same 2 people, my pedicure was ok I guess, didn't feel much ingrown taken out but it was my back up place, but my manicure was awful, he left all the edges really bad I had to come home and smooth it out. So I came in to AA Top Nails today and got a Manicure,pedicure,Upper lip wax,and eyebrow wax. Almost everything was great. Friendly staff and the prices for their services are pretty cheap,however avoid getting your eyebrows waxed at this location. I specifically told them I wanted my eyebrows kept thick and ended up getting my eyebrows done EXTREMELY thin as a pencil which is the complete opposite of what I had asked for.Never coming back here for my eyebrows,absolutely horrible eyebrow shape. They specialize more on manicures and pedicures,I got mine done with the only guy who works there,he's extremely nice so if you want to get your nails done (both manicure and pedicure)this is definitely the place.Anyone who gets a pedicure gets to sit in one the message chairs which is definitely a great experience. As for upper lip,I would recommend getting it done since it's just taking out the hairs with wax and not focusing on shaping or anything like that. The wait is long (waiting 2.5 hours), but they take their time with all of their customers so they don't just rush into their work like some other nail places I have gone to. If it wasn't for the terrible eyebrow wax the lady did for me,I honestly would have given this place a 5/5 stars. I'll definitely come back here to get my nails done again, because it's worth the wait just not my waxes anymore. I'll be looking for my eyebrow waxing somewhere else,hopefully soon.
