Came into Seaford around 8pm looking for a place to eat with my family. The diner was very welcoming from the outside. Inside very clean, nice decor, very friendly service. The food was very good. I had the country fried chicken and my wife had the teriyaki chicken pasta dinner special, both came with salad bar. My kids had pancakes, some of the best I have had. the food was good our waitress said she don't like kids changed it to she don't want any of her own. i took my 1 yr old and 2 yr old for lunch we've been here before and he wanted soup and cake. they didn't give us 2 high chairs after I asked they offered a booster seat that don't work he won't sit still they let their customers harass us one even said I should put my hand over my 1 yr olds mouth because he yelled bc I had to keep redirecting the 2 yr old I would be mad 2 if I wanted to eat and my mom was dealing with another kid because he was not given a high chair! they then asked us to leave and if we didn't they would call the cops on my 1 yr old for disturbing to e peace is that even a thing???this nice family came and sat with me and the kids calmed down and people were still being very rude to us! however I am thankful for them bc my son really wanted that cake so unfortunately we can never go back and I think the people just wanted an excuse to not pay their bill! however im sad they let people do this and treat babies the way they did they need to take family restaurant out their name. never go if u have a family!!! read more

We live around the corner from this diner and frequent it often. The salad bar is always fresh and stocked. The meals are good and reasonably priced. We love the pulled turkey dinner and the breakfast buffet. If you leave hungry, then you certainly had a rare experience. This is diner food at its best! read more

Eh it's diner food. The portions are large and you get more than enough for the money. Unfortunately, the wait staff is poor. They take forever for refills on drinks. They are not very polite. We've been there numerous 5imes and the wait staff is always below standards. If they updated their staff and atmosphere, it would be a better environment. read more

Favorite place to eat in Seaford! They have great service, great food, big portions and excellent prices. I'm from Philadelphia where they have a lot of great diners and this place is just as good if not better. I have never had a bad meal there. I usually get a "mini"meal for 9.99 (choice of soup or salad bar, main course and dessert). It's huge and I normally have to box it up and take the dessert to go. I went here the month they opened, and I had very big hopes for a great diner. WRONG. This is typical lower Delaware crap. I ordered their chicken croquettes special which was one of TWO dinner specials that night, mind you this is six at night, and they tell me they are out. I opted for pork chops my fiance had something beef and crab soup. I worked at two restaurants, and at one I was a prep cook. First off, his "crab" soup had ZERO crab meat, and had flour chunks. As soon as they brought our meals I knew they were from frozen and prepackaged dishes. Their rolls are from frozen as well. And being that I have done the food order before I know they are making a killing with their prices. The food was bland and luke warm, our server was ignorant and not friendly. Saw this site on Yelp this morning and decided to give it a try! Was pleasantly surprised! Staff was friendly and always trying to fill your coffee cup! Breakfast menu had items that reminded me of my childhood, creamed chip beef on toast and scrapple. I do not get to Delaware as much now but rest assured that I will stop again on a return visit. read more

Ate breakfast here with a group on Thanksgiving morning. The staff opened up another seating area to give us room, as there was nowhere else to sit without a wait. The friendly service continued throughout the meal, and the food was hot and tasty. The portions were large - there's no reason to go away hungry. The wait might have been a little longer than normal due to a pretty good sized crowd, but overall, no complaints at all. We enjoyed our visit, and would not hesitate to return. read more

I have been to the Stargate several times there dinners are a bit terrible. But there breakfast buffet is amazing for an amazing price. There chocolate milk is a not strong at all and the taste is fare. If you want dinner I would suggest you go elsewhere, but if it's Saturday morning you might want to stop in. read more

I'm no food critic... but, pasta so overcooked no chewing required. Shrimp so overcooked it could've bounced higher than a rubber ball. Scallops were pure mush. The food came out so fast after ordering that it's rather apparent that all of their food is cooked well in advance, stored, dished out on order and most likely microwaved. It was lukewarm. Do not go here. They have restaurant dishes on their enormous menu for restaurant prices. Food isn't even good enough for pig slop. read more

As far as diners go it's pretty good. The staff is friendly and quick to fill up your drink. The food comes out relatively quick too. I've personally never seen it that messy and the bathrooms are always clean. The prices are on par for diners too. What I'm trying to say is that it's a diner. I heard good things about Stargate, Seaford so, decided to give it a try instead of fast food. I am very, very glad I did.
