This is my sisters favorite bakery, she says that if this were in NYC, it'd be very popular. I had never been before so I wanted to try it out and it is very very good. Very interesting flavors!

Awesome bakery in a small town with so many variety to choose from! I was like a kid in a candy store! Hubby and I came in twice during our week long snowboard trip at Mt Snow, both times we were greeted with big smile and warm welcome. I love sweet and really like the gooey Black Forrest pastry. If you have a sweet tooth to satisfy like me...COME CHECK IT OUT!

Holy baked goodness!

This place will knock your tastebuds out of the park. Whether it's their gooey chocolate browny, pear pastry drizzled with sweet honey or game changer of a chocolate croissant (amazing!), this place is the real deal. We were greeted with smiles and my son's day was made when the lady was so patient and friendly helping him make his decision (which was the browny for a BIG win:) Whether you're local or in town for a weekend, this place is not to be missed.

Yummy pastries - just wish they could be heated up for eating in store. Cute vibe, good prices, unique selection of sweet and savory goodies. The women who worked there were kind and welcoming, the man not so much lol, he seemed impatient and annoyed with our group :/

I am relatively new to Creemee, the high milk fat soft serve ice cream served in Vermont. But for…read morethose who have not ever had it, let me say that it is extraordinary. It is my favorite variant of ice cream: super rich, it has a soft and delicate mouth-feel, and it is extremely creamy (hence the name). The Creemee stand (owned by the Boyd family) is my favorite place serving Creemee in the area. They always have vanilla and chocolate (which you can get as a swirl), and Vermont Maple. All three are outstanding, but I like Maple the best. There's just a hint of maple, which adds a hint of a maple/caramel that accentuates the creaminess of the vanilla. Sometimes they also have Black Raspberry, which is also very good. They also serve hard scoop ice cream as well and I'll bet it's really good. I just will never find out because if I'm at the Creemee Stand, you can bet I'll be getting some Creemee.

So we did what we were told and went to the Cremee Stand up the road to where we were staying in downtown Wilmington. It's about three miles out so you can't walk it from downtown at night. The road is pretty dark. Once we got there, there was splattering of people who came just for the cremees. We ordered the maple cremee because -- Vermont. I will have to agree with another poster who said there was very little maple flavor. I really felt like I was eating a vanilla soft serve. I mean, I do like a vanilla soft serve but not the thicker consistency I was expecting and definitely didn't taste any maple. It was still a nice after dinner break. Note that they only take CASH.

While staying at the Nutmeg Inn, we decided to peek at the Fireside's menu on our last night. A…read moredelightful selection of tapas at reasonable prices in front of a roaring fire was impossible to resist. Our innkeeper Shelly was charming and gave us the run down on all our menu questions. We started with a lovely bottle of Italian wine that Shelly offered. Our dining experience then proceeded to the bread and dukka, which was a sourdough served with a dipping oil as well as dukka seasoning - a delightful taste combination. Next up was an artisanal cheese board -- with two types of crackers, three local cheeses, pear and apple slices, candied walnuts and the pièce de resistance-- an amazing truffle honey to top it all off with. The story could have ended here and I would been been completely satisfied with our dining exploration, but we were only halfway through. Next up were two tapas dishes served simultaneously, a lemon infused steak, with horseradish sauce (Shelly says they have a secret technique for preparing their steak) and also a fennel au gratin dish. Both were excellent flavor combinations but I have to give the edge to the lemon-infused steak, with the horseradish being the perfect saucy compliment. Before going on to dessert, we decided to try one more tapas dish - the chickpeas with andouille sausage and spinach. This combination was served in a bowl, almost like a soup. The sausage bits gave it just enough spice to keep it as interesting as all the dishes that came before it. In fact, I don't know that chickpeas have ever been this exciting, and I'm a big fan of the Garbonzo. I should also mention that the ambiance at Fireside is wonderful and cozy. A low wood beamed ceiling is complimented by unique artwork and a tasteful and low-level music selection. Be sure to ask Shelly why the Kate artwork is especially significant to her. Lastly for dessert, I chose the Dutch Baby Pancake. Served in a tiny but sizzling skillet with a cherry topping and a scoop of ice cream, no further words are necessary beyond the ingredients. Just be sure to have a glass of water handy because the pancake itself is extremely hot at first. Prior to Fireside, Shelly ran a restaurant in London for six years. Her experience shines through in the amazingly simple, yet awesomely elegant and novel food combinations. If you are looking for quiet, cozy, romantic dining in the Manchester VT area, Fireside is the hidden gem of delight, waiting for you to discover it! When we came on a Saturday night, we nearly had the place to ourselves. But I have a feeling that when word gets out, Fireside will be packed every night that they are open.

I needed some cannolis and looked up online local bakeries…read more lake George was closed so while I was in Saratoga I searched and found Ms Londons Took the chance, in winter sometimes I worry bc it's sort of off-season but I stopped by and luckily they did have them! It was for a birthday I made cannoli cake but didn't want to make the actual cannolis to save time but wanted a higher quality version than price chopper I also got a latte and it was very good- nice and hot (some places they're kinda cooler) The service was great a woman with short brown hair helped me & made the latte. It was a very cute cafe /bakery and idk if they make their desserts but if they do- great job! Im happy either way and the birthday boy said the cannolis were perfect.

Both the pecan pastry and the raspberry cheese danish were great! No complaints! Where this place falls right off the cliff is service. It's cold and rude. No if's ands or but's about it. And after my experience, I went and read all the reviews. This is a thing apparently. And to make it worse, the owner, instead of apologizing with humility and concern to the guests that keep him in business instead writes entitled zero accountability messages back to patrons after leaving bad reviews. Honestly that's immature and short sighted. The good will of the public doesn't last forever. But on the other hand, if you desperately miss the rudeness of Europe then this is truly the place for you!
