We were given our bill and placed our credit card down. One server took the card, processed the payment, and returned it for us to sign. A short time later, another employee approached and asked for my husband's card again, claiming the payment hadn't gone through. Later, when I checked our credit card account, the charge appeared twice. We were assured the duplicate charge would be removed, but it still hasn't been, so we'll now have to spend time contacting the restaurant to resolve it. Unfortunately, things got even worse after breakfast. After spending more than $100, we stepped outside, grabbed our sunglasses from the car, and planned to take a quick five-minute walk to look at a boat by the lake. As I was putting things away in the car, a golf cart came speeding toward me and stopped abruptly, nearly hitting me. The driver immediately began yelling that we needed to move our car because we were not restaurant customers. I explained that we had literally just finished breakfast there and had spent over $100. His response was, "We don't care, you need to get your car out of here." I told him there was no reason to drive a golf cart at me or speak to me that way. A simple, polite conversation would have been sufficient. At that point, my husband and I decided to leave. Between the duplicate charge and the aggressive, disrespectful treatment afterward, it turned what had been a decent breakfast into a terrible experience. We will not be returning and cannot recommend Zephyr Cove based on our experience.

My husband got a chai while our friend and I both got espresso drinks. While I did add an extra shot to my drink, I still expected a little more sweetness from a drink named "beez-neez". Our other two drinks were serviceable, but nothing stood out as reasons to visit again. The interior was cute with counter seating and some smaller tables by the windows, which looked out to the street and let in a lot on natural light. But overall, I'd probably choose other places to try over coming back
