Went to Cinnabon for a cinnamon roll. I was greeted immediately by the two ladies working this morning. I ordered an extra side of icing which is .90¢, which was fine because the cinnamon rolls never have enough icing. The cinnamon roll was good, slightly "soggy" in the center but with cinnamon rolls of this size I imagine it's hard to get them to be cooked perfect without overcooking the outer edges.

Located inside Harvey's lower floor, past the arcade, is Cinnabon. Always have a smile and give great service. These are my favorite cinnamon rolls. They are always stuffed with tons of cinnamon and sugar and always moist. Let's not forget the sweet frosting on top. Sweet and Savory Heaven!

Cinnabon We don't have a Cinnabon near us, so we like to stop here when we are in Tahoe. The service is always great, the cinnamon rolls are always warm, and good. Around the corner they have a few tables and we sat there as we ate our cinnamon rolls.

Was wanting something sweet so we ordered a milkshake and a cinnamon roll for the next morning. The cinnamon roll the next day was delicious and big enough for two to share.

One Cinnabon makes a great breakfast meal replacement. Very substantial, delicious and fresh - its the breakfast of champions!!! Massive cinnamon roll - very impressive how it can stand alone - with cup of coffee and be a perfect breakfast. I'm not really into a formal sit down place in the AM - among other reasons - that can be very time consuming. Fresh as can be. Seemed like it was right out of the oven. Came in a little box so that the icing wouldn't get smashed up. Lake Tahoe is a place for adventurers. You are probably here to hike or some water sports... maybe just bum on the beach with your dogs... Have a Cinnabon and on with your day... A very nice way to start the morning - I was pleasantly surprised when one was brought back up for me - my usual routine if I'm in the Lake Tower is to go to Starbucks since its directly next to the elevator - but I think this is worth taking the additional few steps across the lobby.

This place was hands down the BEST customer service experience I've ever experienced thanks to Geego. Cinnamon rolls here taste like any other cinnamon roll you can get at a Cinnabon with an addition of serving Carnival ice cream for milkshakes and sundaes, but this specific location takes the cake for the best overall experience due to their amazingly friendly customer service. Almost every person that's helped us has been friendly. To end our night, we had the pleasure of meeting Geego. Not only did he go out of his way to help us out after a slight hiccup on my reward, but he also went out of his way to make sure our experience was exceptional. Thank you, Geego and the rest of the Cinnabon staff for making our visit so special and unique!

Cinnabon always great for a satisfying sweet snack. This branch opens late and their servers are super nice. Its just in the entrance of the hotel so the area is not quite and chill, especially in the morning. So far is great!

I spotted the shopfront and its signage while driving down Lake Tahoe Blvd. That word "bakery"caught my sweet tooth's attention and off I go. The bakery is unassuming, and no frills. The gentleman at the counter was a man of few words. Kind and earnest. The various pan dulce sat so pretty within the glass cabinets. But there was no pricing. They had the pan dulce names clearly labeled though. Considering it was early afternoon, some items were scarce. But they still had enough variety to satisfy my sweet tooth. I bought some orejas (don't you dare say palmiers), polvorones (they're gorgeous tri colored happy looking butter cookies), conchas (soft bready center with sweet sugary, crisp top goodness), and butter cookies topped with shredded coconut. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, and looked so cheerful. It's a true panaderia where you take a tray and tongs and serve yourself by loading up the baked goodies onto your tray. You take the tray and tongs to the cashier to pay. They'll bag up everything for you. Another important thing to know is their payment policy. They take cash, Venmo, and Zelle. No Apple Pay nor plastic.

We got a chocolate croissant (only decent thing I got, but don't compare it to an artisanal made croissant where it's a dark golden brown with flaky crispy buttery layers). Their "croissants" are more like anemic, soft, moist bread. Also, got a cheese Danish. Starbucks sells a better cheese Danish than this place. The Danish was dry and hard and the center filling looked like it was pre-made frozen and just placed on top of the Danish. Finally, the worst of the worst, I got a personal size dutch apple crumble pie. Now THIS looked like it was made from scratch and I had hopes for this one. However, I took a piece of the crumble topping and ate it. It had an unusual funny taste. Almost like it was made with lavender. Didn't taste quite right. Then, when I got back to my hotel, I really dug into it. It wasn't just the crumble that was off, but the entire pie tasted of rancid spoiled butter. I had to spit it out, it was horrible. I can't believe they would serve that. I don't know how old that thing was, but they need better quality control. The only people I could see giving this place 5 stars on the food, are locals. Tahoe is behind when it comes to quality high end artisanal pastries. I have yet to find a decent coffee shop. Their sign boasts "Voted Best in Tahoe", but you'll see that almost every spot here has the same sign, from ice cream shops to bakeries to whatever else because there's literally nothing here. If you're from a big city, don't come here. Service was pleasant. No complaints.

Overall, I would rate the hotel experience as a 4/10 and the location as a 5/10. The front desk didn't know much about sledding options for families who aren't skiing or snowboarding. They were only able to tell us about expensive sledding and tubing options (50-100/hour). There were locations called sawmill pond and Kahle park that were under 20 minutes away and free and had great options. Also I would have like an option to rent a sled or tube from the front desk for a fee and with a deposit. I didn't like the bunk beds over top of the main beds. I understand this was our choice to pick that room, but the frames were low enough that when my kid had a bad dream I almost hit my head to get out to her. Also parking was very difficult - there was some room for larger vehicles in the main lot but was limited. I had to do a 12 point turn to get out of the covered parking with an f-150. Overall, Southlake Tahoe may be great for people, looking to go gambling, go to heavenly directly, or or a younger crowd. But for families, I wouldn't recommend this spot... The cars drove fast even though the road was icy and slick, there's very limited sidewalks to walk on in the winter when there's snow, all of the restaurants around are overpriced, overbooked, and underwhelming in terms of food, and I'm not much of a food critic. I would go to Westshore or North Shore if I were going to do it again and I'm not sure if I would stay at base camp based on my experience this last week.
