We chose to eat inside their small dining area, you can also grab food to go. The chocolate chip pancakes were hot and freshly made. The coffee was a bit expensive for just regular coffee at $6.25 a cup, but that is comparable with Starbucks which is in the same shopping area. This business also makes decadent treats, and they sell both winter and summer merch (everything from winter hats to sunblock and lip balm, etc.). We were in Lake Tahoe for 4 days and found quite a few great breakfast places - Heavens Little Cafe is one very good choice, especially for the convenience early in the morning.

So when it was finally my turn and I ordered the exact same thing, I was told again that they "didn't have any chocolate ice cream." I pointed out that she had literally just made the same order for the person before me using regular chocolate ice cream, and even pointed to the container sitting right there. At that point, the employee changed the explanation and said she "wasn't going to be able to scoop it out" -- even though I had just watched her do exactly that moments earlier. The whole interaction felt incredibly unfair and inconsistent. If you can serve it, then serve it to everyone. You don't pick and choose which customers get accommodated and which ones don't. The service was so uncomfortable and disappointing that both myself and the person I was with ended up walking out without ordering anything. Really disappointing experience.
