I love that we have a Starbucks here and it's not too far from home. Just wish I didn't have to cross the town line for it, but its worth it. I love Starbucks coffee and I'm a girl who like her coffee dark roast, so Sumatra is my fav. I'm also addicted to their green tea latte! Some people have thought they were in trouble when they saw the green powder, but that's macha ( green tea powder) and can be quite expensive. People who are not familiar with macha often get freaked out about the powder thinking it's some weird imitation stuff, lol! Don't feel weird! Good stuff, hot or cold! The only complaint I have is sometimes they make the drinks too sweet. I ordered a Pumpkin latte and it was just too sweet. Also, there seems to be a new girl there who's kinda slow at making the drinks and I even noticed her having a drink while working. Not to be hard on a newbie, but drive-thru usually means quick. I don't mind if I'm in there sitting and just passing time with friends, but at drive-thru I expect quicker service. Sweet girl, just needs to pick it up a little. I've been a loyal Starbucks customer for many years now and have had nothing but good things to say about the company. However yesterday's experience here at this location has caused extreme frustration and I feel as if I hadn't been taken seriously nor treated fairly. Yesterday I ordered through the drive thru and service was moderately busy. The line moved slower than usual but it was the early afternoon and I understand that it could be a peak for customer activity. I placed my order (two drinks) and the barista was kind, however kept stumbling over one of my drink orders, asking to repeat it several times and I responded each time annunciating clearly. When I arrived at the exchange window, she apologized and asked me once again what the order was. After I had repeated it, she asked for my payment method and if I would like a receipt or not. As I said 'yes,' she took my debit card to swipe the transaction and asked to clarify, yet again, a detail about the drink order before making it. Because I was ordering this drink for someone else, I naturally picked up my phone, momentarily distracting from the situation, to refer back to the text message with the drink order especially after having to repeat myself so many times; I felt that I myself might be saying something wrong and checked to make sure. After this rather convoluted interaction, she returned with both correctly made drinks and straws, saying to have a nice day. I drove away and on the way home I realized that she forgot to give me the receipt, "oh that's too bad, but it's fine" I thought. Later that evening I had arrived early to a nail appointment and realized my payment card was missing. Upon realization that I had only used it at Starbucks today, I called the store and a friendly employee picked up saying that it was safely tucked away in the office and that I could pick it up any time. This was extremely frustrating for me as the complicated transaction caused me to miss an important appointment that could only barely fit into my busy schedule. Although I could have been more attentive to the transaction to prevent this inconvenience, the moment was pretty unorganized and I was too busy repeating my order making sure it correctly understood; I feel that in this situation it was the baristas responsibility to successfully complete the transaction and not the customers to ask for their debit card back. When arriving to the store the employee over the phone kindly assisted me. I am most certain that the barista that partook in this messy exchange earlier was there too, and she commented to me something along the lines of, "Are you here for the debit card? I remember from earlier." Upon retrieving my card I received no apology nor acknowledgement for this inconvenience. I am disappointed and shocked with the rather lack in customer service and satisfaction demonstrated here. I feel very mistreated by this situation and strongly enough where I must write a poor review. I had to cancel an appointment and drive 40 minutes round trip out of my way to fix the situation. If you can, just go to the other Starbucks in Wilmington. read more

The only reason I go to this location is because it's right down the street from my house. I'd rather drive the extra 15+ minutes to go to a different location. Whether you do drive thru, walk in, or order ahead you're pretty much always waiting 10+ minutes for your coffee. I love Starbucks but this location is the absolute WORST! I go to Starbucks everyday during the work week. I find that this one is very inconsistent when it comes to making the coffee drinks. I usually order an Americano and for some reason it almost always comes out very watery OR they put WAY too much milk in the coffee itself when I always ask for a small amount. I don't like to complain because customer service is a hard industry and I am sure they have far worse crazy people than me complaining. It got to the point where I just drive by this Starbucks which is the closet to my house and hit up the one in Boston- Copley near my job- they make the coffees consistently and listen to the person ordering. Other than that they are very nice at this location- if you don't like strong coffee then this is the place for you. read more

Overall it's a pretty good Starbucks. The baristas are friendly and personable except the blonde haired woman with a pony tail. Someone has to teach her manners as she's been rude multiple times. I was asking her a question about my drink and she was saying "yup, yup" while walking away. Very unfriendly. This is the best Starbucks of any I've ever been to. I go a couple times a month to this one and they never fail to impress me with their friendliness and eagerness to get it right. Other nearby locations don't make half the effort they do in this regard. They, in fact, overheard me say this very thing when I was visiting a few months ago, and the barista very sweetly handed me a card for a complimentary drink for my next visit "just because you made our day." In addition, it is spacious and not clogged with retail displays (something I see in other SB stores) and there are comfy chairs and tables with plenty of space in between. This is the only SB around where I feel cozy and comfortable and love hanging out with my iced mocha there. :) read more

Sat at the window at the drive thru in a long line of cars with my drink sitting inside the window while the lady at the drive thru walked away for a good five minutes. Then when she finally came back, she still ignored me while my drink sat there, and fiddled with the cash register screen. When she FINALLY opened the window, she had a bad attitude.
