Daily Harvest Cafe - The Timothy "Earl of Sandwich" Melt

    Daily Harvest Cafe

Today started as a heavy one. My family and I were remembering my father-in-law on the anniversary…read moreof his passing, and after leaving the cemetery with our daughters and our granddaughter, we wanted to go somewhere simple and warm where we could keep talking and just be together. My younger daughter suggested Daily Harvest Cafe in Danvers, and it turned out to be exactly what we needed. Inside, the girls ordered coffee, my granddaughter happily went straight for an M&M cookie, and my younger daughter told me I had to try something called the "Fluff Bucket," which she said had gone viral on TikTok. I am a lifelong fluff fanatic, so there was no chance I was passing that up. When I went up to the counter, I was greeted by the warmest, kindest woman with the brightest smile. I told her I had just heard about the Fluff Bucket and that as a serious fluff lover I had to try it. She laughed and said she would make one for me right away. I had no idea at the time that she was the owner. I just knew she was someone who made me feel genuinely welcome in a moment when that meant more than she could possibly know. And let me tell you, the Fluff Bucket absolutely lived up to the hype. Smooth, creamy, perfectly sweet and sticky, blended with espresso, topped with fluff and mini marshmallows... it was like a dessert and a coffee had a beautiful, indulgent baby. Pure comfort in a cup. When I brought it back to the table, both of my daughters immediately said, "So you got one? You're going to love it." My younger daughter then told me that the woman I had been chatting with was actually the owner. That made the experience even more special. Her warmth, her kindness, and that simple human moment of being greeted with a smile on a difficult morning stayed with me as much as the drink itself. We ended up lingering longer than we planned. My granddaughter enjoyed a grilled cheese after her cookie, and I grabbed a bag of raspberry-filled shortbread cookies that instantly reminded me of hamantaschen around Purim. Everything felt thoughtful, comforting, and made with care. Daily Harvest Cafe was not just a place to grab coffee today. It was a place that helped turn a solemn morning into one with a few smiles, some sweetness, and a feeling of being looked after. I will absolutely be back, and I cannot recommend it enough. If you go, get the Fluff Bucket, and know that you are walking into a place run by someone who truly knows how to make people feel welcome.

Busy cafe. The staff were working so well together. In a small cafe with probably 30 people I had…read moremy drink in hand in less than 3 minutes after placing my order. It gave me time to sit in their beautiful sunlit window and look around at how nicely the cafe was decorated. The cafe was clean and of course most importantly my espresso was smooth and delicious. I can only imagine that the food is just as good.

My mom got the good witch latte which she really enjoyed too. Super cool decor inside too and there's a shop attached! Staff was friendly and coffee was made quickly. First, there are two listings on Yelp that are related and have nearly identical names and the…read moreidentical address. This review is for the coffee shop in the far right corner of the goth Blackcraft retail place. During spooky holiday season a reservation is required for the coffee area. Before I attended, I had the misunderstanding that a reservation was required due to seating. I viewed posted photos that led me to believe that I would be entertaining a spooky coffee cafe adventure hidden from view due to its amazingness and exclusivity. BUT NO. Let's dispell some myths. After checking in at the kiosk and verifying our reservation, we crossed through the big black double doors. We entered a space the size of a small bedroom. A window is roughly six paces ahead with a small set of shelves to its left. Almost every surface is black. The ceiling is black and dried flowers and twine are suspended from it (see photo). The right wall has a fireplace adorned with candles, cauldrons, dried flowers (see photo) and flanked by two locked doors. Above it, three skulls bite down on a dried flower swag. There is a seasonal painting centered above the fireplace (see photo). On the left is a compact coffee counter featuring a large cauldron in front of the coffee machine (see photo). Behind the counter and above the teenage baristas is a list of available beverages on a chalkboard. There are some artfully arranged vines too. That's everything. The beverages were tasty. We got two hot Borah Brew coffee's, a Sea Witch, and a Good Witch (see photo). Reality: It is not a cafe and there was no food. There is no table service or tables. 3 steps in and we saw all there was to see. Yes, it's festive. Yes, it's a fun photo opportunity. Mostly, it's well marketed and hyped by perceived scarcity. Yes, I would visit again and seek beverages IF CONVENIENT. However, I would not put much emphasis on this as a necessity to the experience. It's nice if it works out. Beware that the reservations are booked weeks or more in advance. Although we were told that no reservations were needed as of Nov 1 - that was not the case, and we did need to have a reservation several days later. The three stars are because there's not much to the coffee area, and frankly I found the hype misleading. However, the marketing deserves industry awards!
