We ordered extra drinks and size medium to score the keychains. As we pull up to the main/entrance we see a sign that they are not taking part in the promo!!! Additionally the event was in fact being advertised so it seems really odd to the post that you aren't doing it! And the sorry sign should have been post as as the general "back of line" area

IMHO, the…read moreemployees were talking a bit too much to each other, didn't seem like they were really paying attention to what they were doing. I noticed 2 large coffee drinks made and slid over to the pickup area; they were in exactly the same paper cups, but neither were labeled. How were they to know which drink belonged to whom? I wondered.‍ Oh well, sure hope they did. I ordered a flat white, something I'd heard great things about online. However, this one was not a good way to start my journey. This flat white was absolutely AWFUL. I'm not sure what it was--if the coffee itself was over-roasted, or the milk went bad, or the machine (God forbid) was not clean--but the drink tasted burnt, bitter, highly acidic, and just "off," giving a weird unpleasant sourness at the back of my tongue. It's a good thing Collectivo serves flat whites in their smallest size, because if it had been any larger, I could not/would not have finished it. I'm by no means a coffee connoisseur, but I *am* a bit of a coffee snob. I love a good coffee. I love a well-made coffee. I know good coffee. I typically buy local freshly roasted beans, and make myself a coffee at least 1-2 a day at home. NONE of the coffee I've ever made at home--or that I've had out and about at any other shop--has tasted as bad as what I had at this particular Collectivo. I'm not saying they're all like that, I'm not even saying any other drink at this Collectivo is bad, but I anticipated--and expected--much better. I may give them another try in future, but only with GREAT trepidation. Of course, YMMV.

It's a small place with cheerful blue paint on the outside, a couple of large front windows, and white awnings over each. Inside is a small area with a few tables and stools at the windows. The space felt cluttered, with portable air conditioners and a heater hanging from the ceiling, which made it feel disorganized and a bit uninviting. I was the only customer when I arrived. There's a menu board on the wall behind the counter. I didn't see my usual drink, but I was able to order a Chai Latte. It was well made -- hot, with extra foam. I would have liked to order a pastry, scone, croissant, or muffin, but the only options were a box of donuts and a jar of cookies. I know many people enjoy this place, and perhaps most customers stop in just to grab their coffee and go. However, I prefer a café where I can relax, enjoy a pastry, and read a book. For that kind of experience, this wasn't a good fit. Overall, not the kind of coffee shop experience I look for.

Coffee is now ubiquitous with daily life in America, which brings me to Qamaria Coffee. Hatem and Munif are two Yemeni entrepreneurs with a passion for Yemeni Coffee and the joint goal of wanting to share it with the world. They founded Qamaria Coffee in 2019 to accomplish this task and in January 2024, they opened a location near Milwaukee in Greenfield, WI. Qamaria offers a variety of dessert options, including a Chocolate Tres Leches, Pistachio Tres Leches, and Caramel Tres Leches cakes. I went with the caramel version, which is described by the cafe as "A decadent caramel treat inspired by tres leches cake, creamy, sweet, and irresistibly smooth". If you've never had Tres Leches Cake, it's a light sponge cake soaked in three types of milk (evaporated, condensed, and whole) that's popular in Latin America. The cake originated in Nicaragua during the 19th century, so on first glance it's not exactly a Yemeni dessert. Doing some research, Middle Eastern variations exist that feature cardamom or rose water and some Qamaria locations do have a Rose Tres Leches. It's fine that the Greenfield location did not have that variety as I honestly would have got the caramel version anyway. My slice was perfectly moist as there was plenty of milk soaked in, but not so much that it made a mess or compromised the structure of the cake. The bottom layer was soft and Tiramisu-like in texture, while the cream on top was rich and thick. Personally, I found the caramel flavor to be mild, but delicious. As it is served chilled, it paired nicely with a hot cup of coffee (which they have a plethora of options to choose from). Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews

If you order in they serve the drinks in glassware. I enjoy sitting on the patio which is very inviting and lined with plants. WiFi works outside too. The only downside is in the spring/summer bees seem to hang around and pester you from time to time. It depends on when you stop in but I've noticed the crowd ebbs and flows during weekdays and the inside seating area is small. If you're looking for a quiet place to crank out some work this probably isn't the best spot. I usually overhear many convos while trying to catch up on emails. The barista was super helpful and made sure we got the right milk preference, which for me is whole milk. Both drinks were especially good. My mocha had a nice balance of coffee and chocolate, with a rich, creamy texture. If I could make one small change, it would be to serve it a little hotter. It measured just over 120°F, and for me, a mocha is at its best at around 135°F. I'll be sure to ask for that next time. This time I paired my mocha with the Caramel Pecan Twist and had it warmed up. That turned out to be an excellent choice and the perfect companion to the mocha. Service: The barista was friendly, attentive, and took the time to make sure our drinks were prepared just the way we wanted them.
