Zero stars. Very disappointing experience at this Starbucks. Customer service was poor from both the young girl and the boy working the evening of Friday, July 10. Took at least 10 minutes to even get acknowledged by a staff member. One staff member was making a fancy drink for herself and then she just walked away into the back!! We ordered just one coffee, yet it took an unusually long time to make. It wasn't a complicated order, and this is the type of coffee that's normally poured and served right away. After the long wait, the drink was made with the wrong flavored creamer, but we didn't want to wait to have it remade. Slowest service I've ever experienced at a Starbucks. I sat in the drive-thru for 20 minutes barely moving before giving up and going inside. Only ordered one drink, and I had time to shop next door, use the bathroom, and eat a snack and this one drink still isn't ready. If I could give a no star, I would. We arrived with two people in front of us, and two people waiting at the end of the bar for their orders. I have ordered grande double breve for 30 years. Additionally I ordered a 16 Oz black iced tea, no sweetener and two sandwiches. We went to the end of the bar to wait for our order. One gentlemen walked to the counter and asked where his sandwich was. The gal working the oven never put his order in. Very bad sign, since I was waiting for two sandwiches. Fully 15 minutes later they brought me one 16 Oz black tea breve (gross) two of us each ordered separate drinks, and the gal combined them. It took five more minutes to get our drinks corrected and the oven gal never put our sandwiches in. When we did receive them, they were cold. I did tip the young man who fixed our drinks separately as he was the only employee, who took his job seriously, and wanted to make it right. I normally give great reviews and hate giving a bad review, but this was hands down the worst experience at any Starbucks, and I have been to over 100 different locations across the nation.​ read more

I stopped off here today to close the top on my Jeep (due to rain), and decided to go inside for a pink drink. Very busy, so I get it. I waited 30 minutes to have my drink dumped on the floor by the young man behind the counter. Nobody seemed to care. He came out to clean it up, but didn't bother to have it remade. I finally got someone's attention (because heaven forbid you make eye contact with your customers). I asked to have it remade, and I was told to go back through the line. Still no eye contact as I explained what happened. Then the young lady got smart with me about the size of my drink. I have NEVER had such poor service at a Starbucks, regardless of how busy they were. Very disappointed. I travel that way often, but it's doubtful I will return to this one. read more

This is the slowest service I've ever had. We first went inside and it was so crowded and there were workers just standing around. So we tried the drive thru and waited behind cars for 10min then at the talk box for 10min and the worker came on and said "one moment" then 10min later "one moment" then 5min later "it'll be a while" so we just drove off. We sat there so long the screen literally cut off and back on again And we promised our kids we would get them something, that's the only reason we stayed so long. We got spoiled milk with chunks in it at the Walterboro SC location!! My husband took a sip and immediately had to pull over and throw up. I have never seen a Starbucks like this before! Normally, they are clean and peaceful, but this one was filthy - so we should have known better than to order here, but we were on a road trip and desperate for coffee. We ordered an iced americano with cream, which turned out to be chunky spoiled cream (you can see the chunks in the photo). The cafe had trash overflowing from the trash can and onto the floor. The tables were covered with crumbs. The bathrooms smelled terrible and clearly hadn't been cleaned in ages. We discovered the spoiled milk right after pulling out of the parking lot, so we turned around and went back to tell the barista. They refunded us, but didn't seem to care that they were serving rotten milk. read more

Mobile orders were not accepted today and when we arrived the lobby was closed. Since this was supposed to be a stop on a road trip, we went elsewhere to use the restroom and throw away trash. We stopped by this Starbucks in Walterboro, South Carolina while on our way from Hilton Head to North Carolina. This Starbucks is located just off I-95 exit 57 (SC 64 - Walterboro, Lodge). It's convenient when traveling on I-95 in South Carolina. This is very much a road-trip pitstop Starbucks along with other businesses on this stretch of 64 (Bells Hwy). There are gas stations and a lot of fast food chain restaurants. This stretch reminds us of 57 (Radford Blvd) at I-95 exit 193 (SC 9 / SC 57 - Dillon, Little Rock, Bennettsville) in Dillon. Similar feel and lots of the same chains, including Starbucks. At this Starbucks, my wife and I picked up a couple of our go-to drinks: one Iced Caramel Macchiato ($5.25) and one Pink Drink ($4.75). We got both in Grande size (16 fl oz). Having had these drinks at several different Starbucks around the country over the years, we thought the barista at this Starbucks did a good job making these drinks. They were tasty, refreshing, and hit the spot. The Iced Caramel Macchiato was sweet and creamy and the Pink Drink was crisp and fruity. If you're not familiar with the Pink Drink, it's Starbucks' Strawberry Acai Refreshers drink mixed with coconut milk. It's caffeinated with green coffee extract. My wife and I have fairly high caffeine tolerances (we drink coffee daily) so we hardly felt the caffeine effects of these drinks. We got them more for the taste, refreshment, and enjoyment. This Starbucks has indoor and outdoor seating plus a drive-thru. During our visit, it was busy inside and out. There are two unisex restrooms and one of them was out of order. As I wrote above, this is a "pitstop" Starbucks, so a lot of travelers use the restroom here. There was a line for the restroom and it wasn't clean. To make matters worse, the restroom was out of paper towels and there was no hand dryer. Also, the cafe was out of napkins. Service at the register and pickup was good. This is probably one of the worst Starbucks I've been to. Just passing by through on our drive up 95N and this was unfortunately the first Starbucks after going through Savannah. They decided to post a note on the door saying the lobby was closed and only doing drive thru for the day. There were several people "supposedly" working and the drive thru line was like standstill traffic. When we finally got to the window, they were moving soooooo slowly, as if they didn't have a LONG line of cars waiting and eventually driving off because they were tired of waiting! Wow! This place seems mis-reviewed. Like the lady on here before me said, Yelp has turned into a facebook page and people forget how to really rate establishments. We used the drive thru, placed our order; the lady working was very nice, confirmed our order and everything came correctly, hot and rather quickly. My local Starbucks doesn't have a drive-thru, so this was my first time utilizing a location with one. I placed a mobile order while heading down I-95 and arrived 5 minutes prior to my pickup time. Good thing because I didn't realize there was no in-store pickup, and cars were wrapped around the building. The line moved quickly in my opinion, I only had to wait 15 minutes. I've been in Chick-fil-A lines for longer. The guy at the window was very nice! My order was correct. My boyfriend got Espresso and I had an Iced London Fog Tea Latte. The staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful, kind, and professionally skilled. Following a terrible car crash, my family and I resided for a week, at the Sleep Inn. Thanks to the walkable proximity of the Starbucks, I was able to provide my family, the comfort of excellent coffee, special drinks, and favorite foods like, protein boxes, bacon egg and cheese sandwiches, and lemon cake. I was thankfully able, to use the empty protein boxes, to hold food and water for my cats. I clearly didn't see the reviews before coming here. Truly the worst Starbucks experience. Who I'm assuming is the manager looked at the line with quite a glaring look, walked up to the girl at the register, and had a conversation about having the girl at the register switch stations with someone. Meanwhile a customer was at the register and was stopped mid-order so the girl taking the order could ask when she can take her break. After I finally got to the register, the phone rang, so the attention was not on the line that had formed. I ordered and was told that they were out of peppermint syrup, so instead of ordering something else, I just decided to leave. I had already wasted 5 minutes of my time. I thought when Starbucks ran out of a product they put very specific marketing up to say that something was out of stock. Is that not the case anymore? It took a HOUR to get two simple drinks. We were in the drive through and only had two cars in front of us. Each car was told to wait to order & then it took just as long at the window. The car in front of us should have had their order by the time we got to the window and they still didn't. The person at the window was not friendly, did not say hello or anything. We received one drink after waiting and had to wait another 5 min or so for the second drink (same drink order). How is this store still open. I will be calling Starbucks corporate to complain; the manager needs to manage this store better. You have people coming to this Starbucks on road trips & you'd get a lot more customers if you'd have better reviews and good service. Just passing through on our way back down to FL. Great drinks, but the store was in need of a cleaning, especially the bathrooms. The garbage was so full it was coming out of the can. My husband tried to throw something away and someone's old drink fell out and onto the floor, spilling everywhere. This is by far the dirtiest and most unkept starbucks I've ever been to. The bathroom is disgusting, their display windows for the food is in disarray. I was in shock when we actually got our drinks, it still took the workers over 30 minutes to get it to us. I don't think I saw a single worker wearing gloves. Found a paper note taped to front door stating they closed the indoor seating area early "sorry for the inconvenience" - COVID is over so I don't understand this constant closure of indoor seating areas. God, I haaaate reading some of these irrationally negative reviews about this place. It's the ONLY place in this entire town that is good. Yes. Covid had the lobby closed for a long time. Yes. The entire operation was shut down for some time during Covid outbreaks because they care about their employees. Yes. The lines can get long for a few reasons: 1. It's RIGHT off of the I-95 corridor. Travelers see a Starbucks sign and jam right off the Interstate. 2. It's popular and the only Starbucks for MILES around. 3. People don't know how to line up for the drive through. If it looks like it's going to back up into the street, GO AROUND the line, GO AROUND the building, so that the line can wrap around rather than hang out in the roadside SMH I come here at least once a week. AT LEAST. Sometimes two or three times, depending on my travel schedule. Drive through always. TIPS FOR ANY COFFEE DRIVE THROUGH: Order your food before your drink. They'll get the food started before you even finish ordering your coffee. Know what you want. If you've been to a Starbucks, you know whether or not you want an extra shot, room for cream, hot or cold, etc. Stop it with the b.s. crazy drink orders you saw on Tik Tok. You're not doing the employees OR your body any favors. My experience at this location: The employees are ALWAYS friendly. My food is ALWAYS hot. My drinks are ALMOST always exactly right and when they aren't, I politely tell them and they fix it. (It's happened only twice in two years.) I'm proud of the crew that works this Starbucks. I don't know who is running it, but I do know that they are trying hard. I appreciate the hard work people in the service industry are putting in right now. They make my long commutes better.
