I'd give the person that made my coffee 5 stars, but 0-1 for both the manager and the person who…read moretook my order at the register. When I got to the register, the manager gave me an awkward look and so did the girl at the register (They both looked in their late teens or early 20s). It was as if I had just interrupted them and they made me felt awkward for just wanting to place an order. The vibe they gave made me second guess if I had gotten there after they had closed. I'd hate to be that person too... so I double checked and they were still open for another 4.5 hours. The mgr signaled her to go ahead and take my order but the mgr still gave me awkward looks. I swear I showered, did my makeup and had clean clothes on.... So idk wth those glances were about. Anyway, the girl at the register proceeded to take my order. After I said "I'd like a grande hot peppermint mocha", she started to talk to me slowly and enunciated every syllable to me, as if I was a foreigner that knew very little English. I may be light brown skinned, but my accent is very American and I've probably been in this country for at least 3 times the years that she's been alive on this Earth. I was hoping a cup of coffee from Starbucks would be the highlight of my chaotic & busy grocery shopping trip to Harris Teeter, but it was quite the opposite. Nothing irks me more than people who talk down to others like they're idiots and especially managers who stare at customers rudely. Do better. *This review is for SB inside HT, not the standalone SB across the street.

The barista at the register was kind and tried to help, but when she asked her coworker, Cari, for clarification, Cari loudly scoffed, refused to make it, claimed it would "break the machine," and rolled her eyes at me in such a way that was impossible to misunderstand. I ended up skipping the drink completely because of how dismissive and unprofessional she was.

Selection of sweet and savory treats here are phenomenal. TEXAS JALAPEÑO KOLACHE is very tasty. The…read moresausage is not overly salty. The jalapeño vibe pops but is not too overwhelming. The pastry was a bit underdone. Looks like it may have been popped in the oven too fast and too furiously. Otherwise, amazing job SoCarolina! The TOMATO BACON PIMENTO CHEESE PIE is an homage to all the Southern Mommas. It is simply divine in all its cheesy tomatoey glory. Edited to add: the SWEET POTATO AND CARAMELIZED COFFEE CAKE is heaven! It's light and pillowy. Not too sweet, not too crumbly. Whoever concocted the idea for this creation has to know this is the potential masterpiece of everyone's morning. I was just missing the coffee with it, ha! The GINGER COOKIE is iced and sprinkled with sugar for texture. Also amazingly baked. I just wished it had some crystallized ginger pieces for more spice!

I was craving chocolate croissant and warm coffee in this winter weather and decided to stop by wildflour pastry. I ended up order the chocolate croissant, cortado with oat milk, and 4" quiche (sausage, red pepper, and goat cheese). They all so good and the chocolate croissant is one of the best I have ever eat! If you haven't been to this place then you definitely need to get the croissant and other bakery from this place.

Look I've already rated this place 5 stars, but I want to update that it's above and beyond that…read more The staff is so friendly it's wild. They have great food and their baked goods are awesome! Some outdoor seating for a bit of peace, a countertop if you want to be in the magic being made, and tables to get some work done or catch up with friends and colleagues. I've heard business meeting, meetups, dates, podcasts and book club discussions. Love the place! The use of coffee bags as decorations and other rustic decor makes me happy. The icing to update the review is my little guy spilled his water, one of the staff made him a little crab craft to match his shirt just to cheer him up. That's just kindness.

decided to visit this coffee shop recently--it had been quite a while since my last visit. I was in…read morethe mood for something different from my usual Starbucks run or making coffee at home. I really wanted a place that roasts their own beans, and of course, I couldn't resist getting a scone while I was there. While I was visiting, a mother and her young daughter (probably around seven or eight) came in, and the daughter was so curious about how the coffee was made. It was really nice to see the staff take the time to walk them through everything--explaining the photos on the wall, the different types of beans, how they're grown, and where they source them from. It created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Experiences like that really stand out, and it's clear they care about both their craft and their customers. I'll definitely be going back again.
