Never have I tried one, I'm a hot latte type gal. Their cold foams look good too. I'll have to try it one day. The only negative I have is that sometimes, the flavor combos/ratios seem a little off, so it's not quite as expected. But my solids are always great and I am a frequent customer. I guess I'm just being crabby, but I really don't think you need a mentally ill person who makes more than 75% of your customers uncomfortable, as the person doing this particular job. I'm also a big customer service fan, and when he handed both my drink and food, he didn't look at me or say a single word. I actually sat there until he noticed and he said, "did I forget something?" and I said, "yes, you could say thank you or have a nice day or something!" and he just stared at me. I told him, "I hope YOU have a nice day" and left.

I walked in when I discovered that Gnome was unexpectedly closed for renovations. I grabbed my coffee and a muffin and sat in a cafe height chair and looked out the window (pic) and realized 'I could have gone to Halo' (smacks forehead)- I am looking across the street at a better spot for coffee. That's the bottom line. PJ's coffee is decent and hot. The orange cranberry muffin was as expected- good flavors, nothing unusual. They heated it up for me which is nice. I can use my ID badge to pay which is convenient for me. They apparently do have bagels but they are not in the case and there is no food menu (only an extensive coffee menu which today features some fun mardis gras flavors- none of which I tried). They keep the bagels in the fridge and they are toast-your-own. I found out too late to try these.

The staff is friendly, pleasant and very efficient. They also now have punch cards where you buy 9 drinks and get your 10th free and you get entered for pjs merchandise. I've never tried the food but there's a decent amount of seating inside and out if you need to sit and eat or study. Parking nearby is all metered or garage parking but given that this place is on a hospital campus, it's a good place to take a break if you're around.
