For starters not only did they mess up my order they forgot half of my order and instead of trying to get it to me the man at the window was making jokes and laughing and almost gave me someone elses order. This review is strictly to rave about Connor!! I started going to this Starbucks when I moved here 2 years ago. Since then, I've started to become a drive they regular in the past couple of months. Connor is almost always the one working the drive thru when I come and he is the kindest and most helpful employee ever. He always makes me feel like I'm not just another person in line, but actually a valued customer. I legitimately tell my friends that I want to go to Starbucks so I can see Connor. Nice layout and large patio. Baristas we're friendly as well. The bathroom was were disappointing. There was urine on the floor and a smell of urine. Because of that I opted for a prepackaged juice. read more

Store was clean and our drinks were made to perfection. Most of the partners were very friendly. I'm only giving 3 stars however because one of their partners, a guy named Edgar, told us that we had to take our dog outside even after I made it known that she was a SERVICE dog. I don't know if he was being judgmental because she is a tiny dog or what. But my mother has heart problems.. and she keeps her dog with her at all times. But even after saying we had her registered we were told she couldn't be inside. I'm a partner as well. I know the rules about service animals in the cafe. I also know that we aren't allowed to ask someone with a service pet to keep them outside! read more

I think my only complaint would be about how each time I've come, the closing time is different. Supposedly they close at 12am, which is really cool I thought. However, I'd always left earlier in the evening because there was really no need to stay as late as 12am, but to know they were open that was cool. Until one time it was a must to get some stuff done. They came and said they were closing and i was confused because it was not even 11:30pm yet. Then they said they close at 11:30 now. We were on a long road trip and missed closing time by exactly 3 minutes, and the barista was EXTREMELY rude in the process of letting us know that they were closed and would not serve us. We felt very degraded and disrespected in the two seconds that we spoke with her, and we will NEVER be supporting this business that hires and pays workers who are graceless and ignorant. read more

Although I live in Waco, I travel a lot for work and visit many Starbucks locations. This location is by far my favorite, especially in Waco. The staff is always friendly and usually calls me by my name when I enter the store. The store is always clean and the drinks made correctly. I know this is a busy store, but that does not seem to faze the staff. One employee in particular, usually at the register. I am not sure if he is mgmt. or not. Edgar always has a smile on his face and asks how my day is going. Little things like that make me want to come back. You do not find that very often these days. Keep up the good work! read more

I tried this newer location about two weeks ago. Asked for syrup in my tea and they must have thrown in 1 package of sugar. IT IS NOT THE SAME. Syrup is much sweeter. It basically tasted like sugarless tea. There's a big difference in using the syrup vs using the packaged sugar. Please understand. Thanks. read more

Let me preface by saying I love Starbucks. I always have and I always will. The quality of the product is amazing at this location in particular. My drinks always come out in a timely manner and are usually very accurate. That is not the reason that I am leaving a one star review. The reason I am leaving a one star review is the management of the facility and the staff. I have been a food service worker for over 10 years and have had management experience for over 6 of those years. In my time I have seen enough to know when a shift is not being run properly. I am sad to say that is exactly what I saw today. For starters, during the peak hours 12-2 there was not enough staff to handle the heavy volume of customers coming through. I saw only one person on bar handling both the drive-thru and the cafe drinks. This poor employee was running back and forth like a mad man struggling to get drinks out. All the while, the person who I can only assume was the manager was gambling around the store not helping any of the employees. This was quite strange to me since there was plenty to be done. I witnessed the employee on bar repeatedly ask her for things that he needed in order to finish the drinks, and she acted like she did not even hear him. Instead it was the other two employees that were there that got him the things he needed. A few times he even had to leave the bar unattended to go and get the things himself. These were simple items such as syrups, lids and milk all of which I'm sure don't take more than a minute or two to restock. In another instance, there was a spill at the drink bar by a customer. This happened right in front of the manager and she did nothing. Instead she made the employee that was on bar stop what he was doing to clean it up, once again leaving the bar unattended. This seems like a gross abuse of power. As for the front of house, there were used tissues in front of the register directly touching food items. Also, the condiment bar was a total disaster. There were empty sugar packets, stirrers and spilled milk everywhere. I saw the manager empty the trash out while leaving all of the other mess there. I'm sure she expected one of her employees to clean it up later. Now I know a general rule for managers is to have your employees do 60 percent of the labor while you do 40. I've implemented that in many of the jobs that I've worked at. However, managers have a responsibility to make that 40 percent count. We cannot take for granted the hard work that our employees put in. Most of them work extremely hard for the little that they are paid and their job is a thankless one. All I ask is that you please respect your employees. They are the reasons that business can run so effectively. I expected more from a chain as prestigious as Starbucks. // As a side note I called the store and asked to speak to the store manager and told she was a not in. I wish I would've gotten the name of the manager on duty. read more
