My mom, younger sister and I were taking a trip to Austin and we passed by here. My sister being the Starbucks obsessed girl she is, and me being the one to never to turn down starbucks whenever we visit, we stopped here to get some refreshments. One thing i noticed that is different from most starbucks ive been to is that you can actually see the person taking your order through the drive thru menu. I'm not sure why people hate on this Starbucks so much. Every single time I've been here, I've come in contact with the happiest employees. I wish I remember their names. I come back here JUST for them. This location always has the LONGEST drive-thru lines so I usually just walk in and order my drink. The wait inside isn't nearly as bad. I've never had a problem with my order here. If you don't want to wait for your drink, I recommend ordering ahead of time thru the app. There are several seating options inside and a few tables outside that are in a covered area. The restroom has been pretty clean every time I've visited. Overall, I recommend this Starbucks location, it's my favorite one in Waco! :) read more

Renita is RUDEST employee EVER! Ordered advertised product on poster and was told none of the ingredients were available. Then made excuses about why the poster wasn't taken down and that it wasn't her fault because she had just arrived. When customer dropped whole drink on way out, we commented that that was going to leave a sticky spot. Renita replied that "she would rather take care of her customers than to worry about that right now." Seconds later, customers were having to tiptoe around and over it to enter store. The worst most non efficient Starbucks I have ever stepped foot in. Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and hoped it would get better but it hasn't. This Starbucks is very close to my house compared to the other Starbucks we have in Waco, Tx so that's why I go here. I typically use mobile order and almost every time I go to pick it up it's not ready and I always make sure to order 10 minutes before I get there. Additionally they consistently get drinks wrong. For example one time I ordered a black coffee with almond milk, I tasted it and it tasted like black tea so I asked for it to be remade. The barista argued with me and said it couldn't be wrong, so ended up renaming it 5 times before she figured out she filled the coffee pot with tea. Another one of my terrible experiences of many that stands out is when I mobile ordered and waited along with many other customers over an hour to get it because they were "overwhelmed". Also they are always out of items on the mobile app but then I'll get there and they have. Something needs to change at this Starbucks... read more

Went in this evening at 9:27 to purchase last minute gift cards for teachers. They had the doors locked! I was. It the only customer that arrived at that time, and all of them were upset since the closing time for today is 10:30. Why close an hour early? There was no notice on the door and the employees were inside hiding - we saw them peeking out to see if the customers were gone. I am disappointed since I have never had a problem at this location. But seeing how they hid and giggled really bothered me. What happened to customer service? Losing business during the holidays??? That's unheard of but I guess they don't need it. read more

This is my regular Starbucks and I enjoy sitting and reading or journaling. Everyone is really friendly but not as knowledgeable about coffee as they could me. I have had several run-ins with having to clean my own table or getting an eye-roll for asking for more cream but they are just people who have a bad day every now and then. I agree sometimes the drinks are inconsistent. For me, it's mainly the sweetness. No problems with the employees - they get along pretty well. I get my order served quickly. Place is clean, I wish there was more seating because not everyone is going to want to sit next to one another at the only big table dominating the center of the cafe. Very rude employee who takes orders through drive through rushed finished taking my order before I was done. When I pulled up to the window I told them I had ordered a venti not a grande employee proceeded to act like it was my fault that the order was wrong and explain that if I had t used my stars I would have to pay the difference. This Starbucks is so close to my neighborhood I often walk there. I see someone I know every time I go there, which makes this Starbucks feel cozy and local to me when I visit. The first thing I do when I arrive is check out the Bookcrossing zone that is near the bathrooms -- I like the idea of trading books with the other people who go to my local Starbucks. Sometimes the tables are sticky. The staff behind the counter often seem frazzled and a little impatient. I think this is because the store is so busy. Most of the chairs and tables are occupied whenever I am there. I am generally happy with the quality of my drinks and they are usually ready pretty quickly. read more

The cashier recognized that I had never been to this store before and welcomed me to it. The barista called me by name when I picked up my Mocha and thanked me for my business. Plus, the always-good Starbucks music was playing at a not-too-loud level, which I haven't found to be the case at some other Starbucks in Central Texas. I want to start off by saying that I thought this store was an amazing store when I first started working for them until we got a new manager things started to change and she took over the store like it actually belonged to her and started making up her own rules i never worked with a manager that only cared about herself she walks around telling the baristas that this store is not even the store she wants to work at that they are just stepping stones for her also she allows the shifts to smoke their vapes in the store one I witnessed smoking in the fridge. I started to speak up for the store due to the managers letting one certain customer to steal from the company I never get in trouble I always do my job and I'm always their when they need me but as soon as I spoke up for myself and this company about the manager stealing and the district manager stealing I was told that the customer that is stealing complained about me and made up lies about me I lost my job due to all their lies I'm a mom to twins and all I'm trying to do is live my life with love and truth I was let go because I stuck up for the company and now I have to figure out how I will pay my bills and keep a roof over my daughters head well they continue to steal from the company. I don't know what has been going on lately, but the service in the drive-thru has been absolutely abysmal. Mostly in the afternoon time. The last time I was there I got there at about 4:30 and I placed my order. I sat behind about 5 cars and I didn't get to the window until 4:50. There wasn't even a, "sorry for the long wait" or anything. Just them telling me what I owed. Are there new people there who don't know how to make the drinks in a timely manner? I just know that waiting that long is ridiculous. And even going inside takes forever, too. And while the drink flavor isn't always consistent, they are still good. read more

That's my to go place! I've tried other Starbucks in town, this one serves me the best. They know me, they are cheerful..and they KNOW the secret Starbucks drinks that arent on the menu. So its delightful to order without the barista giving you the raised eyebrow and trying to figure what heck you just ordered. And they ALWAYS have every type of roasted coffee ready (light, house and bold)...if they happen to run out, they WILL brew you one at the very moment. They aim to please. I have been to at least 50 different Starbucks locations in my life, and loads of other different coffee shops all around Austin and in Texas. In fact, I probably have Starbucks at least once a week on campus (UT). This is undoubtedly the most unimpressive experience I've ever had at a coffee shop. The staff wasn't friendly, the vibe they created was depressing, I'm not sure that they smiled even once, and moved in a fashion that I would expect of a sloth. I actually came twice today (I'm visiting family from out of town) and in the drive through this morning I waited in line for 30 minutes with 6 or 7 cars in line and gave them the benefit of the doubt, after all it is the day after Christmas. The second time I went in with my mom because she wanted coffee, but we decided to go inside this time because there were only 2 people in line. We waited for 20 MINUTES for a cappuccino!! What on earth, no coffee shop I have ever been to has ever taken this long no matter how busy. So to sum it up, Starbucks is great but go to ANY other location unless you want to waste half an hour for a mediocre latte. read more

Went to the drive thru before work, I asked for an iced earl gray tea, which I have gotten at many other Starbucks before. They made it obvious that this was very inconvenient, told me it would take five minutes to ice the tea down and that I should come inside. Really? What's the convenience of a drive thru?
