Went and ordered through their drive thru on 12/31 at approximately 2038 hours, the young lady speaking through the mic had an excellent attitude especially for working on a holiday, she made some great recommendations regarding my sweet tea by adding lemonade and peach juice, she was very patient and accommodating of my ignorance of drink customizations, made me feel incredibly valued as a customer, other businesses should be taking lessons here, this is how you retain customers and build your business. I am a frequent Starbucks customer but this location has the absolute worst customer service. When we first pulled up to the window the lady named Mia was already super rude, frustrated, and annoyed. We had ordered a drink with light ice and we received the drink completely filled with ice. We did ask if they could remake the drink with light ice and another lady named Breanne came and gave us more attitude. Mia brought the drink back 3/4ths of the way full, smirking and waving to us to "have a great day" Mia said they were both supervisors which made this experience worse knowing they have horrible management . read more

If I could leave a negative 5 stars, I would for this location. My girlfriend ordered venti ice tea through drive thru. She pulled up to the window, she gets ice tea with milk and syrups. She told barista that she wanted plain ice tea and the barista said that they don't make ice tea without milk. The barista refused to make the correct drink and accusing my girlfriend if she knows how to make correct order for drink. Another barista also accused my girlfriend if she knows what drive thru is and snatch her credit card and gave the wrong drink. I'm not sure how these baristas working, but this is not right way to communicate with customers. read more

Really unfriendly staff. They don't say hi. They pretty much take your money had you your stuff and NEVER catch eye contact. I have been to this location at least a dozen times... and it's always crappy attitudes. Who doesn't love Starbucks? Their game is consistency. Sometimes, they are out of the baked goods that you want, and that's a bummer. But the employees are always nice here and it just feels like a fun little treat. I love all the seasonal offerings and the vibe check is 100. read more

If you're lactose intolerant, beware! Twice now I've asked for oat milk in my drink, and twice I've ended up in the bathroom in a bad way, so I'm pretty sure they just use regular milk anyway. In town for work and stopped here for a shaken espresso for it to only taste like oatmilk and no coffee. I got a venti. I threw that whole thing away when I got to work. We go get coffee for convenience while out of town and that was bad start to my morning especially with the drink not being cheap and I was not able to turn around and have them fix it, which is what we shouldn't be doing. I have not returned to this Starbucks since the new one popped up by Walmart on I35 because the service here is horrendous. I ordered in person with my bf and they took 45 minutes to make 4 drinks. They didn't even call my name for the last drink which of course was mine out of the four for my family. So my hot drink was cold and had a disgusting flavor. I had a couple of hours to kill between meetings in Waco and decided to seek out a Starbucks to hang out at. The staff inside were very accommodating and friendly. My coffee drink was prepared to perfection and my snacks were just what my tummy needed. I enjoyed a wonderful couple of hours being productive, enjoying coffee and hanging out. I had a medium cup of jo, we always make a point of thanking the barista when the drinks turn out good...as they did today. This starbucks was remodeled in March of 2015 and is by far the nicest in Waco. Biggest upgrade was to seating - twice as many seats (at least) as any other location in the area, and plenty of table space. Great upgrade! read more

Save yourself some time and sanity and go to a different location. It is truly not worth it! First let me say, I love Starbucks. It's definitely my favorite way to treat myself. I understand that the stores can get busy, so I normally place an order ahead on my app, which is very convenient. However, I have had multiple incidences at a certain store in Waco in which I have received unacceptable service. The location in the Central Texas Marketplace in Waco, TX has consistently been slow, but today I understand why. I placed a mobile order for a frappuccino and two cake pops at 6:09 PM, arrived at the store at 6:20 PM to pick up. The drive thru line was about 8 cars deep, so I went in. When I walked in, one of the employees was preparing fifteen (15) Venti ice waters. Another employee was recording them on Snapchat. A third employee was goofing off. A fourth employee was making drinks at a snails pace while talking to the other employees. A fifth employee was taking orders at the window (she was the only one who seemed worried about getting orders out). When the first employee got to the 15th drink, two other employees made him aware it was all a prank, that no one had ordered the waters. Then they all proceeded to goof off, record each other on Snapchat, and clown on the one guy who made all of the waters. All of this was done while I was standing st the counter waiting for my mobile order that I had placed 10 minutes prior. Three frappuccinos died in the window while four employees played around and pranked one another. Finally, the girl making drinks asked what I was waiting on and I politely told her my order (even though I had placed it online). I got my drinks and pops after a painstaking 10 minutes of waiting at the counter for the baristas to simply do their jobs. This is not the first time I have had a mobile order take a ridiculous amount of time at this location. I have had to actually leave without receiving my drinks (after paying!) because the wait was over 30 minutes. Other times, I have had to wait 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged my existence and THEN I have to give them my order again. Go to one of the other locations. The one in Woodway/Hewitt has much better customer service and is worth the extra 5 minute drive!! read more

Mary is super sweet and Preston made me the best Flat White I've had in months! I've become quite the FlatWhite connoisseur since it was introduced. I've had them literally from coast-to-coast. Now, I can just pick mine up and tell from the weight alone if it's right. I've never had to wait so long for coffee but it's is the only one on my way to work. I've had to sit in the drive thru for 30 minutes before but an average is 20 minutes of waiting in the drive thru. I've been inside before and had to wait ten extra minutes for my online order when I ordered it before I left my place. You guys seriously need to get more organized! read more

Wow, consistency of your beverage not the norm. We use this location as well as the one in Hewitt. We order the same 4-6 types of coffee/Frappuccinos. Love drink come back next day and flavor may be weak or instructions weren't followed. While the one in Hewitt has been better for us, this one has fallen. No straws for large cup makes it difficult to drink without straw falling into cup. read more

I go here all the time. It is fine if you are NOT in a hurry and don't want dark roast. If you are in a hurry, DO NOT GO HERE. Other Starbucks in Waco could grow the beans and get your coffee to you faster. It's consistently slow every day. They also are out of dark roast over 50% of the time. The location is fine however the lady I encountered ruined it for me. Ordered a caramel frappe with whip cream however when we pulled up to the window the frappe was super watered down with no whip cream or caramel on top. Went inside & the first Starbucks employee was super friendly however the lady who made the drink originally said "I'm just gonna make it again just like last time!".....She started handing it to us for the second time now & I had to explain to her that it is suppose to come with whip cream & caramel. This is a fine Starbucks! The drive thru goes quickly most days. Every now and then it takes forever, for example, just the other day I spent 25 minutes in the drive thru line. But when I got to the front, they gave me my drink on the house because of the wait. They are consistent and friendly. Their biggest downfall is their popularity.
