Gave me the wrong drink in the drive through and didn't realize until I got home. Disappointing.

The Sow's Ear - Gluten free chicken broccoli quiche

What a treat! We loved this spot so much that we visited twice during our couple day visit to the…read morearea. Tucked I a cozy house, the Sow's Ear is part coffee shop part knitting craft store. They offer a variety of knitting classes and community offerings under this roof. It was bustling with warm energy during both of my visits. They sell baked goods form Madison Sourdough Company, a variety of coffee and tea drinks along with a few gift items like jams, coffee beans, and earrings. We ordered the protein oatmeal topped with walnuts and pumpkin seeds (twice since it was so good- and healthy) and the toast with rhubarb jam. On one of the visits they were willing to make cinnamon toast for my sister who was sick at the hotel with the flu. A family comfort food. "They also make a delicious "fierce mocha with chocolate and cayenne. Highly recommend this charming spot in Verona!

Lovely little yarn shoppe & eatery in Verona. Cute outdoor seating and friendly vibe…read more Not really sure the hype behind this place. There are way too many affordable and cute places nearby to give the eatery another go. The prices are steep, especially for what you get. I ordered the brocolli cheese quiche, which literally had no cheese! The salad was ok, not very substantial -- it was only greens and no veggies. My sister ordered a sandwich and chips, which looked like less than a half order from Panera for double the price. Drinks were the most affordable option but still over $3 for a simple tea or coffee no frills.

Grace Coffee - Bagel Breakfast sandwich with cheesy hash-brown bites !

I like it here, but cozy coffee shop it is not if that is what you're looking for! This is a great…read morespace but it's large with high ceilings and metal furniture and I don't know how comfortable it'd be to hole up here and work all day. It can get kind of loud as well. The lavender latte is a good one and worth the struggle to find a parking spot for. The Italian sodas do NOT come with cream so you need to specify that if you'd like a traditional cream soda. The pastries have never appealed to me on the several occasions I've been - they are large and there are some of the old standbys like danish but there's a lot of artificially colored/flavored options as well such as cereal bars. This last visit I ordered the cheesy hash brown bites with chorizo - good, but filling, and just a little too much pickled onion perhaps or maybe it was the chorizo - the main flavor profile was more tart or sour than spice or savory. I also felt the addition of shredded cheese was a bit much - but greatly enjoyed the micro greens to complement flavors. I've had the avocado toast before and enjoyed that. My daughter's açaí bowl was served in a to-go cup and somewhat difficult to mix. The staff has always been friendly when I've been.

Service- 2/5 Slow. Had to go up and ask for my food. Coffee came first, finished before food arrived. Drink 4/5 Good! Not overly hot, has flavor. Nailed it in the flavor profile, but could have been a tad bit more noticeable. I want a coffee to taste what it's listed as. Not like a Lacroix lime, flavored drink. I.e hint of a flavor. Food 5/5 I got the Berria burrito. Now tell you what.... It took an hour to get this food. My expectations were low! To my surprise, they nailed this burrito. Hashbrown ball was good too. This may have saved my overall score.

Orchard - Pecan pie in a skillet. No crust

You get the sliced apples in the salads and the bottles of apple bourbon up front. The hot tea is no charge, but the iced tea is not. Both appear to be Lipton. I got an Arnold Palmer, which was quite good. They didn't mix it so it had a toquilla sunrise feel. The appetizers really stood out. The animal fries were not your squirt cheese in n out style. These were thick cut steak fries, with Wisconsin melted cheese and ground beef, topped with thousand island like aioli. The other wunder starter was the hot pretzel. Thick with kosher salt applied to buttered crust, it's served on a charcuterie board with cheese knife. Perfect for cutting bite sized peices fresh before you dip. Cheese sauce and stone ground mustard. Burgers were good. Sit down restaurant style, thick and perfectly grilled to order. A little gooey but the buns soaked up the juices. Salads come with standard fancy greens, topped with thinly sliced apples, with whole pecans. The vinegrett was decent. Soup that day was country vegetable. We passed at fire because it sounds very Campbell soup from a can. A couple minutes later she came out and said chef made her taste it, so she could adequately rave about it. Turned out to be rave worthy. Not stewed to death, hearty crispy and nutritious

The Caesar salad was excellent with super crisp romaine and a fresh house made dressing. I wished that the plate was bigger, as it was loaded very high and hard to not spill. The Margarita flatbread was ok, nothing special. My dining mate tried the Fried Cheese Curd app and a Smashburger with fries for his main. The curds were deliciously crunchy and gooey. Some of the best curds in the area. His Smashburger was good, but the fries were outstanding. We also tried hot cider, since cider is Orchard's claim to fame. The cider was excellent, although a bit pricey at $6.00 a cup. We splurged on some mini-donuts for dessert, but they were just ok. The vibe of Orchard is open and inviting. Our server was excellent, no complaints.
