I like it here, but cozy coffee shop it is not if that is what you're looking for! This is a great space but it's large with high ceilings and metal furniture and I don't know how comfortable it'd be to hole up here and work all day. It can get kind of loud as well. The lavender latte is a good one and worth the struggle to find a parking spot for. The Italian sodas do NOT come with cream so you need to specify that if you'd like a traditional cream soda. The pastries have never appealed to me on the several occasions I've been - they are large and there are some of the old standbys like danish but there's a lot of artificially colored/flavored options as well such as cereal bars. This last visit I ordered the cheesy hash brown bites with chorizo - good, but filling, and just a little too much pickled onion perhaps or maybe it was the chorizo - the main flavor profile was more tart or sour than spice or savory. I also felt the addition of shredded cheese was a bit much - but greatly enjoyed the micro greens to complement flavors. I've had the avocado toast before and enjoyed that. My daughter's açaí bowl was served in a to-go cup and somewhat difficult to mix. The staff has always been friendly when I've been. read more

Overall score 16/20 Here is my review friends.... Atmosphere- 5/5 Very appealing. Spacious. Nice seats, clean. Would be nice if they added some indie music for the vibe. Service- 2/5 Slow. Had to go up and ask for my food. Coffee came first, finished before food arrived. Drink 4/5 Good! Not overly hot, has flavor. Nailed it in the flavor profile, but could have been a tad bit more noticeable. I want a coffee to taste what it's listed as. Not like a Lacroix lime, flavored drink. I.e hint of a flavor. Been to Grace a few times in both locations and the atmosphere and vibe is always unmatched for coffee work days. However the drinks and menu do NOT make the cut to match the perceived standard, and I say this after giving them multiple chances because I love their open well lit workspace. It was nice that they allowed me to bring my well-behaved pup. Pictured is the iced chai, topped with cinnamon but really just tasted like dirty dish water (coming from someone who likes chai!) No distinct flavor, way too watery and milky, no kick and for a high price too. Loved the cup though! I've had the food here months back (eggs ben) and it's alright, fast food plated nicely and with a high price tag, they are not a full kitchen so understandable, the cheddar potato balls are crispy and yummy though Probably will still continually return for the vibes and nice space and order out of necessity, but if you are looking for a coffee kick, Grace is not it sadly :( read more

I love spending lunchtime at a café. And this looks like a great place to spend that time. There is plenty of space and all different areas to relax and talk. It can get a bit loud when crowded, but it doesn't seem annoying. This a great place to spend a relaxing couple hours or get some work done in a private corner. For readers, I'm not a coffee guy. I'm a foodie. And they have quite a broad selection of goodies, from sandwiches to pastries. And if they all taste as good as the Chocolate Croissant, then I'm in trouble. It was amazing! Crunchy soft and well balanced buttery chocolatey taste. The Everything Croissant Sandwich is big enough for 2 and loaded with egg, bacon, etc. The Hashbrown Bites are an immediate favorite (crunchy deep fried hash browns filled with gooey tasty cheese...omg!) Great to have something this large in Verona for a breakfast meet up with friends. Lots of seating. Bright and airy. I've had lots of the baked goods - great but HUGE the açaí bowl - also good but they always forget a topping or two and I get bummed it doesn't look like the photos the avocado toast - great classic and most recently the breakfast burrito with cheesy hash brown balls The pumpkin spice latte is my favorite. Why not 5 star? Sometimes when you order, you wonder if your drink or food will come up correctly. Sometimes you get a buzzer, sometimes they just yell out, maybe a name that resembles yours ordered before you. It usually works out. The staff making the drinks are right across the counter and they're pros at not making eye contact to ask them "is this mine?" Cool spot! We met a friend from the area here and were impressed with the atmosphere and great work environment it gave us. They have spacious, comfortable seating, as well as lots of access to power outlets (a surprising rarity sometimes!). They offer lots of coffee options as well as food. Would definitely come here a lot if we lived closer. Everything was clean and staff were super friendly and welcoming. The only con we could think of is the pricing is a little high. $.75 to add a flavor and $1 for oat milk when the prices of the base drinks are already high. Grace in Verona makes the BEST food. I recommend either going there every time or having the staff there retrain folks preparing food at the Sun Prairie and Cottage Grove locations. I always order the Caprese sandwich. At Verona it's served on delicious, pillowy bread and the sandwich is cooked thoroughly so the mozzarella is delightfully gooey. The potatoe dippers are always light and crunchy. Have ordered the same at Cottage Grove where the sandwich was barely cooked, the bread not as fresh and the dippers were soggy. At Sun Prairie the sandwich came on different bread that just didn't work, it was barely warm so the mozzarella slices were cool and slippery and the dippers were so salty I couldn't finish eating them. read more

Dreaming of an almond croissant... Ordered from Grace not too long ago via door dash and ended up with an almond croissant instead of this other pastry we ordered. It was delicious. Also ordered the croque madame that day, that was a 3/5. Today, I was hoping to get the croissant again, but alas, they were out :( instead got the following: - everything croissant sandwich - delicious. Super filling and tasty. The everything greens I got with it were dry, no dressing, but fine! - chocolate strawberry cold brew - tasted just like a chocolate strawberry but way too sweet for me. Second time I came here and not as exciting as the first time. They deep fry their potatoes so I opted for no sides ( because I know their salad dressing has lemon and I am allergic). I got my breakfast and of course there was salad on the side with lemon on it! UGH! I ate the sandwich ( lucky nothing of the dressing touched it) and it was a lot of egg. All I could taste was the oil on the egg and my plate was saturated from the oil that dripped off the egg on the sandwich. This could be such a wonderful place but potatoes should be sautéed in a skillet. It gives them better flavor and the eggs do not need so much oil. If I am at a greasy diner I expect greasy breakfast.... But not here at a nice place like Grace. read more

It has most things I'm looking for in a cafe/breakfast place. Good food, nice atmosphere, good service. I've never had pork belly hash before but I wish I would have! It was delicious. Nice to have a fattier meat with the eggs and potato. I've also eaten the breakfast tacos and they were good. The prices are a little high for everything but the portion sizes are large. I would try the cinnamon roll for the novelty since it's soo huge, but it doesn't really taste good. It's dry and not a good ratio of icing to bread. A little disappointed with that. Today I walked into the Grace coffee shop for the first time after several orders on DoorDash. First off the place is beautiful. Has a modern lodge/campus coffee shop vibe to it. Very open and plenty of seating. Now to the food. The spicy Turkey sandwich is very good. Tasty and filling. Topping enhance the flavor without overpowering it. The potato dippers are also pretty good. Unique form of potatoes similar to fries but good nonetheless. The cookies and cream cinnamon roll caught my eye so I decided to try it and was not disappointed. It's just the right amount of sweetness. The matcha was creamy but delicious. I just wanted to let people know that we were at Grace in Verona the morning of Valentine's day and the Blueberry pancakes and Yogurt with fruit and honey was SUPERB!! The quality of the fruit used show someone really cared about their work in my opinion to make sure the presentation was good. One little tip is that it would be nice if you had a pitcher of cream available to either the customers or your staff so they did not have to go into the fridge when someone wants cream in their coffee. 1 - so they are not in the way of the Barista and 2 so the customer can add what amount they want. Service was good. Atmosphere is solid. However, ordered the Avocado toast. Which ingredients list, Thick-cut sourdough, AVOCADO, balsamic glaze, sesame seed. I was so excited to have a nice new cafe spot so close by in Verona. I've given this Grace location 4 chances to do anything other than disappoint but here we are. Coffee- the coffee is extremely sour and out of the drinks I've tried (lattes, espresso shot, black, Italian sodas) not one has even been decent. Food- first time I went I got the breakfast burrito, it was warm on the outside and ice cold in the middle. I've gotten plain and chocolate croissants on 3 different occasions and they were visibly undercooked/raw in the middle every time. I have nothing bad to say about the staff or location it's a cool looking spot and the people have been super nice. This place leaves something to be desired and I wouldn't recommend taking a chance with it. read more

I was excited to visit Grace Coffee after seeing reviews and the delicious looking menu, but my first experience was really disappointing. The ambiance was super fun and upbeat, and all of the food and beverages looked fantastic. It was a busy Monday morning and I waited a good while in line to order, which was fine. Having that in mind, I decided to just order a bakery item and a drip coffee to go. The girl running the register was nice enough to grab my coffee, but I proceeded to then wait 15 minutes for a scone that was literally sitting right in front of me on the other side of the counter, right next to the register. I decided to continue standing there hoping the girl would realize she hadn't given me the scone and help me out. It was at this time that I also noticed I was given a smaller coffee than I ordered and paid for. I finally asked a barista if there was a reason I hadn't received the item or what we were waiting on and she was nice enough to walk over and grab it for me. It just really didn't make any sense why things happened the way they did and it was pretty frustrating - because by the time I was done waiting, my coffee was almost gone and I didn't have time to sit down and enjoy. Meanwhile, there was probably 12 people at a time standing around waiting for their coffees at the counter And I know a few groups waited easily over 10 minutes to get their orders. If you're colored, DO NOT GO. They will not welcome you, and they have an all white staff. I worked there, and was the only minority. They treated me like dirt. Demanded me do all their dirty work, but still complained about me. Don't bother to eat their chicken because they leave it on the counter for hours. Try not to swallow a fly when biting into a chocolate croissant. There's a reason they have all those health code violations. read more
