The matcha is bad, it tastes like a premade powdered matcha latte. Definitely not ceremonial grade, would not recommend. The egg and cheese muffin looks and smells like it's from McDonald's. Does not taste good. Won't be finishing the drink or muffin. I was really looking forward to coming here and reading my book and enjoying a Matcha and a pastry. Very sad that's not the experience I got. Really regret it

As soon as you walk in, it feels warm & welcoming. I ordered a matcha dalgona with almond milk and it was ready in a couple minutes. The matcha cream (which has to be made with heavy cream so it whips up) was plentiful & it was quite an aesthetically please drink. The only due side, you have to mix the heck out of it before you drink it haha; but, that's just the nature of a dalgona. They also offer a coffee & chocolate option. It came in a very sturdy plastic cup that could be reused over and over again if you wanted. The staff was super friendly & the prices were quite reasonable. My drink was less than $7.

When I walked in, both owners were present. They're doing a great job getting the business off the ground, and they've only been open for three months. I drank a medium roast Guatemalan coffee, which is known for its unique flavor profile and high quality. Apparently the Guatemalan is one of the most sought-after coffees in the world. I thoroughly enjoyed it and found it to be full-bodied with rich flavors. While I didn't get a chance to try their baked goods this time, I plan to on my next visit. Bottom line... I'm confident this café will quickly become a favorite among Venice coffee enthusiasts. Salute!

While we all found the scones to be exceptional, the trio salad plate left a lot to be desired with the chicken being extremely dry and not fresh. The tuna salad wasn't bad but was a bit overly sweet probably from pickles, while the egg salad was pretty good. The bread offered, which I didn't really understand the point of, never arrived. Sadly, with the plethora of competitors along the avenue, living on the quality of the scones seems like a weak play.

Freshly Roasted Perfection in Venice…read more I stopped into Black Gold Coffee Roasters and was blown away. I ordered an iced mocha that was absolutely delicious - you can really taste the coffee through the chocolate instead of it being overly sweet, which I loved. The coconut macaroon I got on the side was phenomenal and paired perfectly with the drink. They're roasting beans less than 20 feet from where I was sitting, and even before we walked in, you could smell the coffee from the parking lot. It adds so much to the atmosphere knowing everything is that fresh. Service was top notch: super friendly, accurate with the order, and genuinely down to earth and inviting. This place feels like a true local gem, and I will definitely be returning.
