Wow, probably the worst Starbucks drink I've ever had. Which is pretty bad considering I've had Starbucks in other countries. I ordered on the mobile app because I thought it would be faster. I was wrong. I ordered at 7:40. The app said 3-7 minutes. I pulled up at 7:46 and my drink wasn't ready. No biggie. I watched as costumers came in, ordered, and left while I waited for my mobile order that was put in 5-10 mins before theirs. Finally, 7:56 I get my coffee. Now I'm going to be super late because of the wait. I get to my car, drive off, go to take a sip of my cafe mocha and it's literally dirty coffee water. It's NASTY! I mean I've been drinking cafe mochas for 12 years now. I know what they are supposed to taste like. I've gotten them all of the world! And this was dirty coffee water. Very thin and watery. No mocha flavor. Just an absolute disappointment. Not only did I have to wait a long time at the store for a mobile order, but I received trash. I expect this from Dunkin' but not Starbucks! Stopped by for the first time today. I was a little disappointed that they did not have some of the lemonade refreshers in stock, but that forced me to try something new (not always a bad thing. Service was ok, not too slow. I got a pumpkin spice latte and yum I love fall and winter drinks. They made it to perfection and I was very content with the drink. Yeah. Looking at my old review, it's time for a revamp. Ready? Here we go! Ever since I started my senior year at Rutgers-Newark, I came here multiple times for their White Choco Mochas and Peppermint Mochas (seasonal only). That was also when I wrote my old, short review, which was written at a time that I didn't care much about Yelp. But now, I come here on a once-in-a-while basis, and I must write up on my most recent experience. Unfortunately, what's also changing in my revamp is the rating. At the time I went, the line wasn't very long (the line was long during some of my previous times). What I've always liked about this particular location were the baristas. They were always polite and patient when they taking the orders. As far as waiting times for my drink and food to come out were concerned, I didn't have an issue. But that was probably because of the fact that I was never in a hurry whenever I stopped in here. More in regards to my recent experience, we had the Peppermint Mochas. It was a good taste of chocolate and peppermint mixed in. Of course we could never go wrong with whipped cream and mini choco-shavings on top. This was perfect for a cold day, especially when you're sitting down. This location is mid-sized, and bigger than the Westfield one. There were several places to sit in both sides of the store. In addition to the separate seating areas, at the right side of the store, there was a long table where various patrons could sit down and enjoy their drinks and/or food. Some Starbucks merchandise was also located at the right side of the store, even though some were also located in the front, which was right where I walked in. The store itself looked nice and bright, and wasn't noisy with bratty, texting teenagers (you'll still hear easy listening music in the background, which is typical), unlike Westfield. So why did I remove one star? This location used to have the soft, dark, and comfortable LEATHER chairs. But now they're all gone, and replaced with hard, wooden chairs. While the chairs looked new, nice and bright, especially under the sunlight, they weren't as comfortable as the soft ones. I think they did this so patrons could leave as soon as possible so others could sit down. The free WIFI here works, but can be sluggish at times. You may even get dropped once, prompting you to reconnect. That happened to me when I was here. Also, when I tried to check-in on Yelp via WIFI for this place, my app couldn't locate myself or any surrounding locations, and asked me if I was a ninja. Really??!! When I switched to my 4G Mobile Data, I was able to check-in without an issue. In regards to the WIFI, the upload and download speeds can be quite slow. If you don't have to upload or download anything big (small is OK), then just don't, but do use it for basic browsing, e-mail, messaging and light social media purposes. Overall, the atmosphere, drinks, food, and service will always make me a fan of this location. Cheers! read more

I used to love this Starbucks, they used to have the best staff (the current staff seems to lack the proper training) and were always so friendly--that was until the current management took over. I stopped coming into this Starbucks a year ago due to the horrible management and service of one of their baristas. I figured I would give it another shot and unfortunately things have not changed! You walk in and the place is absolutely disgusting! There's trash on the floor, the condiment station is absolutely filthy and is never fully stocked with anything you're lookin for, the bathrooms are atrocious and smell, the entire place smells! This is not what you want to see/smell first thing in the AM. Furthermore, whenever I'm there in the mornings THE MUSIC IS SO DAMN LOUD! I'm told by the rather--to be nice, boisterous blonde barista, that the music is controlled by corporate and cannot be turned down--What? Not only that but she's INCREDIBLY rude, and constantly makes my drink wrong, every time. I've noticed also that She's ALWAYS on bar. I have never met someone so rude. when I confronted the manager about the way his employee was acting, he seemed to not want to be bothered with what I had to say. Unfortunately he had ordered to the wrong Starbucks but the lady that worked there was still willing to give us our order without having to pay for a second time. I've been here a few times and have never had a negative experience. I've never been to this location during the morning so I wouldn't know how the lines are then but in the early afternoon it's usually fairly quick with plenty of seating options. I just had a ham & cheese croissant that tastes great and was warmed up perfectly. However my iced caramel macchiato is ok and doesn't taste as good as usual. They have plugs all around so it's perfect if you want to spend some time here and need to charge your phone/laptop. The baristas that I've encountered have always been friendly. Overall one of the best Starbucks in the area and also one of the most spacious. read more

Great location, ideal for a quick stop before hitting the parkway. I showed up roughly 10-15 prior to closing and I enjoyed my time. Kia, the lone barista at the time, took my order with a smile and I enjoyed a brief conversation since there wasn't much going on. I enjoyed my java chip frapp with a shot of espresso. This is by far one of the slowest serviced Starbucks I've ever been to & it's a shame it's the one I use the most and in a high traffic location. Sometimes there are at least 3-4 employees behind the counter yet only 1 making specialty coffees/drinks. Often you have to wait more than a couple minutes to get plain black coffee. It is on the smaller side and all but 1 table is designed for a party if 2. I like it because it's conveniently located in the median of 22 so you can pull in going east or west bound. I used to love this location with comfortable couches and that beautiful long wooden table to the right. The decor used to be so cozy and they have decided to renovate. I totally do not like and it no longer feels comfortable. They removed the couches and changed all chair to hard wooden chairs. I can no longer do any work here and will have to find another location. The staff is still very friendly but the atmosphere is no longer the same. read more
