Stopped in for a quick caffeine post. Usually go thru drive thru but decided to go in today, which made me buy a warm chocolate chip cookie! haha the best! Nice and clean store. Staff is friendly and quick. Great service!

The baristas are friendly and fast. It's a clean Starbucks and I really appreciate that. The biggest issue is it's a bit janky to get into the parking lot which is under some kind of construction. Also the drive thru is kind of tucked around the corner. All in all, the service is what makes this place.

"Lost" or "skipped making my mobile order. How many times do i have to experience this????? (4 or 5 over a couple of years). i have had them lose my order when i walk in order as well - i don't recall having that expert's your other places !! After making them go through the "tickets", they found mine. So much for ordering 12 minutes in advance, and overriding the app to let me order so far i'm advance. Also, not a place to go if you think COVID is real!! People walking in and out with masks (despite signage), and employees pull down their masks to talk to each other. No wonder covid is spiking in California

A place to stop by on my road trip...so I really wanted to give this place a 5 Star simply because of their customer service at the register but unfortunately I can not. I ordered a white chocolate mocha with extra shots w/soy milk. In addition I ordered the bacon cheddar Gouda sandwich and I must say the drink itself was amazing but they ran out of sleeves so it was super hot to hold. I had to request a sleeve and it wasn't until then, that I was advised they were out but could provide a additional cup. In addition, I received my sandwich which was tossed on the counter and that really threw me by surprise. But I continued to press forward. The ambiance was "ok" as it was a very small Starbucks but they lacked condiments on the counter and it was a mess literally boxes everywhere. Lastly, I bit into my sandwich and it was cold..I'm guessing it wasn't nuked long enough...needless to say, I was already on the highway and I was not turning back. I know the pandemic caused things like "customer service" to go out the window but that's one thing that could be used in this store. Otherwise...thanks for the yummy drink!

Super packed Starbucks on the looong road to Vegas! Everyone stops here and it is the first place to get sustenance going West on this crazy road trip. They are usually out of something, and considering the volume of traffic, it's a miracle that they have coffee. Usually a long line, and a steady flow of drive through traffic. I tried the new White Chocolate Frappucino with sprinkles, which made me feel a bit in a holiday mood, while my sweetie got a classic Mocha Frappucino. The baristas have always been cheerful and gotten the drink orders correct, even when we are 12th in line, and they put up notices for events around town, making it feel a bit more personal. Corporate probably doesn't realize the volume of traffic here. This store needs to be bigger.

I was impressed with it several years ago when we held a dance recital here this coffee shop seems to be sort of a club of community activity. The only downside is it does take a while to get your order because they're busy, but that sandwich was worth waiting for, and it made the miles from Tehachapi to Mojave speed by

Tuesday, March 10th, we traveled to Bakersfield to pick up a vehicle I had purchased, and of course had to stop by Kohnen's. My wife and I split a Tuna and Cheddar Panini, and a loaded Turkey (we arrived too late for Sourdough!!). It is difficult to walk away without a mini-pie (try them all, but blackberry is freaking amazing!!). As always, Danelle was there with her typical congeniality and work ethic! We love her!! And I got to tell her about her doppelgänger in a restaurant in Yucaipa!! They do exist!! In summary, eat at Kohnen's!! Say hi to Danelle!

I visited Kohnen's Bakery Tehachapi yesterday with my family, and this was honestly one of the…read moreworst customer service experiences I've ever had. I only purchased two items -- one cream puff and one slice of cheesecake -- but the cashier charged my card THREE times due to repeated mistakes. Here's exactly what happened: 1) My first card (Card A) was charged $11.20. The cashier asked me if I wanted a receipt, and I said yes. Then she told me the receipt didn't come out because the transaction "didn't go through," and asked me to provide my card again. 2) I gave the same card again, and this time she charged $11.69. 3) Then again, she told me that it didn't go through, so I used a different debit card (Card B), which was charged $11.20. While sitting at the table with my family, I immediately checked my bank account and thought I had only been charged twice. I spoke to a staff member at the store and requested a refund for one of the $11.20 charges, which was processed. However, today I realized I had actually been charged three times, meaning there was still another $11.20 that needed to be refunded. So I called the bakery and asked to speak with a manager. I spoke with someone named Danielle. I calmly explained the entire situation and told her I would send all my receipts and bank transaction records by email so they could double-check and confirm everything. She said ok and gave me their email address, but it was very long, and I was concerned about making a mistake while writing it down. So I politely asked if she could text me the email address instead. Her response was extremely rude -- she said, "I'm not required to do that," and told me to just write it down myself if I had a pen and paper. Although I was already uncomfortable with her attitude, I carefully wrote it down and sent the email. However, the email bounced back as invalid, even though I had confirmed the spelling with her multiple times over the phone. When I called again, Danielle answered and said, "Ma'am," in a very dismissive tone, and told me that they had found the three charges and had already processed refunds for both $11.20 transactions. I tried to confirm which card the refund was going to, since I used two different cards, but after putting me on hold for a long time, she read off a card number that was not mine. When I told her that wasn't my card, she insisted those were the only transactions for $11.20 yesterday and told me to "check my bank in a few days" and call back if the refund doesn't show up. And, she didn't apologize for the mistake, even though they charged my cards three times and wasted a significant amount of my time. Even yesterday, when I asked for an apology, I only received one reluctantly after I pointed out that they had made a mistake -- and even then, the response was dismissive, as if I should just accept it because they were "taking care of it." The attitude throughout this entire situation was rude, unprofessional, and extremely frustrating. The cheesecake was very good. But because of this experience, I would never come back. We drove all the way from Los Angeles to Tehachapi with my family, expecting a pleasant visit, but this bakery completely ruined the day. Being charged a total of $34.09 for just two small items due to repeated errors is unacceptable. If your staff cannot properly process payments, they should not be working as cashiers. Situations like this should never happen. What's even worse is that after making multiple mistakes, there was not a single sincere apology -- only attitude, dismissiveness, and instructions for me to keep checking my bank and call back again. My time is valuable. This entire situation could have been avoided if things were handled properly from the beginning. This was an extremely unpleasant experience, and I am very disappointed. Cf) For reference, the other $16.05 receipt is for bread that my brother purchased.

They make pies (of course) as well as some other foods. Because I'm gluten-free and dairy-free, this limits me... but I'm SO happy they always have a safe pie I can buy. (And I have never had a gluten reaction to their GF items.) Their gluten-free dairy-free apple pie has been a bit bland for me. So I recently opted for their berry pie and WOW it did not disappoint! The berry pie was nice and flavorful!!! I bake as suggested by doing an egg wash on top, and that gives the top crust a really nice texture. I've also had their GF breads (because they sometimes have GF ones that are also dairy-free) and they are super yummy. The prices are a bit high, so I don't splurge too often. But I'm grateful there is safe pie for me when I really want it.
