Found this location from Starbucks phone app's. I often make my stops here when driving from the high desert to central valley. It's a little off from Highway 58 on Tehachapi Boulevard exit, but don't mind at all. Every time I come here staff were always cool and prompt service. I'm not a coffee drinker so when I go to a Starbucks, my orders are pretty simple. So simple, in fact, you could have a monkey behind the register complete my order. Perhaps they need a monkey working at this location- it'd actually get my ridiculously simple orders right. How hard is it to make a Vanilla Frappacino? We make them at home and call them 'milkshakes'. It's not rocket science. No, really, overly rude coffee barista- it's actually NOT rocket science. It's a watered down milkshake. You see I've hinted to the type of attitude you get when going here. ;) It's like the baristas are stuck in high school and are irritated when you interrupt their gossip time by being a customer. Never mind my order is helping complete your pay check. Lastly, sandwiches. This location doesn't seem to understand the concept of 'sandwiches'... as in plural. As in, order more than one for the display case. Nine out of ten times you go, they are out of sandwiches. And forget getting a sandwich on Sunday. The barista barked at me , We never have sandwiches on Sunday's', like it's against their religion or something. 7 girls working. Drive thru with 12 cars. 10 people in line inside. Made the record of waiting 27minutes for my drink. Everytime this happens. The management needs to be fired or trained. I moved here from LA. They get cars out within a minute. If you wait longer than 5 minutes your drink is free. What a joke. Praying they get new management. Staff have always been polite and friendly. I mainly use the drive thru and it usually moves pretty quickly, although a few times I've sat in line a little longer than necessary. I'm big on customer service and the people that work here seem well-trained in that department. Will keep coming here, as its the only Starbucks in town with a drive-thru. read more

This is consistently the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. Be sure to check your drink before leaving because no matter what I order there's only about a 50% chance it will be correct. Also, multiple times I've gotten a sandwich only to have it be cold in the middle. After 7 years of being a faithful customer to this Starbucks I have decided to not visit anymore. We have plenty of options on the hill for coffee. I am tired of paying almost $6.00 for a cup of sticky, half full, burnt coffee handed to me by a barista that like to yell at customers as they drive away. Victoria handed me a Carmel Frappuccino that was so full it dripped all over my car. No apology, no offer to fix, hell even the manager on duty couldn't even be bothered? Then yesterday a new game started 05/15/2017 I bought 2 Frapps and was supposed to get my lil stickers and of course Victoria said "No" I told her game starts today she informed me that "this" Starbucks will not give stickers till Tuesday 05/16/2017 Manager also didn't want to talk to me she told Victoria No also. After calling corporate they told me to go back and get my stickers. I go back and ask to talk to manager again! I am told she is training, well Victoria was also missing so she must be in training again I guess? So of course I couldn't speak with MGR. This was the 3rd time I had a problem and asked for her. So I told the girl at the register that corporate sent me back to get my stickers and guess what? Stickers were right there under register ready to be used. She slapped those 2 stickers on so fast. lol!! So if you are into rude baristas, half full, burnt, no syrup, sticky coffee/cups, and a manager that doesn't give 2 shit's about her customers then I highly suggest this Starbucks!! This has to be the worst Starbucks I have ever been to in my life! I have given them chances, too! I have gone back time and time again. They do not seem to have any concept of what a Starbucks is or what it should be. Let me explain.. Starbucks is corporate owned and is, or should be, consistent throughout the country. And, in most places, it is. I have been to Starbucks through out our fine land and this is the FIRST Starbucks I found to be substandard! Service is mediocre at best and the staff will argue with you if your drink is wrong. I have been told that the espresso was supposed to have a burnt taste(no offer to redo my drink) the refreshers are supposed to be tasteless(no offer to redo my drink), and that their regular drip is strong, maybe not as strong as other coffees, but that is the way they brew it(this for a drip coffee that tasted like day old dish water) Now, I have always been a fan of Starbucks. I like their product and will seek them out when I am on the road. I have now called the corporate offices twice about this particular store and have just decided no more! I don't want to fight for my coffee and I don't want to argue as to whether or not it is to my liking. I want friendly, courteous people when I plank down $5+ dollars for coffee! After my last visit, I will be giving them no more of my money!!! The reviewer who said to wait and go to either Starbucks in Lancaster or Bakersfield hit the nail on the head! Although I assume it is common knowledge that the Starbucks on Tucker Road is a hotbed of incompetency and cavalier dis-regard for the basic concepts of customer service, I am going to make it my life's goal to remove all doubt from your wondering minds. I suppose what is most frustrating is the fact that this review is grossly overdue, as a result of numerous and incessant customer service infractions committed by the minimum-wage, corporate drones, responsible for performing basic, menial tasks. Now, keep in mind that I am only making these sobering accusations after several acts of generous forbearance on my part. So, in order to deprive you the tedious burden of listening to some petty-sounding story, filled with complaints on my part, I am going to briefly and succinctly break down the overall issue with this particular Starbuck's location. First off, because the location is prime, traffic is always an issue. The drive thru reminds me of the California-Mexico border check point, and the counter service inside is about effective as the Affordable Healthcare Act. The "small-town" service mentality that seems to plague all of the local business here is alive and strong at this location. Employees are more concerned with chatting, feeling sorry for themselves, or just being generally nasty rather than performing their jobs to the best of their abilities. I have been scolded for reaching over the glass to get plugs for my lids, and then handed my coffee with no plug. The young lady talked to me like I was committing a federal offense when I performed the act. Secondly, staffing is a major issue. You would have thought that the Starbucks "stellar" corporate team, in all of their god-like wisdom would have crunched some metrics and realized that they needed to beef up numbers at this particular location, due to an in-flux of personnel. LOL, what a ridiculous idea, right? Rather, the staff is constantly under-manned, and they only have enough people to service the drive-thru customers, and I use the term "service" quite loosely. I have reached some of my best REM sleep cycles in the Starbucks drive-thru waiting for them to make 15 drinks for that one obnoxious mom in the Chevy Tahoe, with 5 idiotic teenagers who just ordered drinks that sounded like they would be something served at a EDM festival. I am sure everyone who is in their right mind, reading this can relate to my frustrations on so many levels. It is frustrating, because I know the Tehachapi Starbucks could be so much more, and it embarrasses me to thing that everyone coming through Tehachapi to get Starbucks is going to remember one thing: "Wow, what a bunch of incompetent, "local-yocal", A-holes. I am a former military mechanic, so I find it extremely difficult not to unleash a torrent of filth unlike which you have probably never heard, however, since the partisan bureaucrats running this sight would most likely delete my post, what is the point?
