I across the street and needed caffeine, before I started my trip back to Illinois. I did a search for coffee shops and this Starbucks was just across the street. I wanted a local shop, but I needed coffee. It's a typical Starbucks, nothing to get excited about. Instead of using the drive-thru, I parked and went inside. The cafe is small, clean and would be a good place to work. There's limited retail, but they'll get you with the impulse items at the checkout. I enjoyed a Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew and a Petit Vanilla Scone. Cold Brew was refreshing but, the scone was a disappointing. I use to eat these on the regular and the one today, hardly had any vanilla flavor. Big bummer for me. The cashier was a big friendly guy, who made the ordering quick and easy. I got a giggle that they had letters on the counter for placement when a drink is done. My name begins with an "S" and it was placed in the A-J area. Not a problem, it was the only one on the counter. I am sure in the mornings when it's peak business, those letters come in handy. Parking lot is compact and can get congested. A big plus for this Starbucks is the location. It's just down the street from major highways 44/270. So grab a coffee and hit the road. read more

[June 2025] I ordered a seasonal tall Iced Horchata Oat Shaken Espresso. The ombre effect in my cup was beautiful and something I will order again next summer (or make at home until then)! I also had the Bacon & Gruyère Egg Bites for my protein. read more

This is a strange Starbucks because it can take 15 minutes just to get a couple drip coffees - they have at least seven people working making fancy drinks - but our basic drip black coffees took 15 minutes. read more

Service and hours can be short and slow, that's a heads-up! I've been to plenty of Starbucks, I think this one is just another normal one! Polite/mediocre staff, clean inside and outside with roomy patio seating, decent drinks! Bonus points, they've never gotten my order wrong and it doesn't taste wrong at all! This is my preferred location whenever I need a Starbucks fix! It's so close to where I live and also it's convenient to the highways on my way to work. The parking lot is a bit on the small/complicated side so I usually prefer the drive thru, but if I ever place my order online, I just park in the first spot I can find and walk in. The baristas are usually very helpful and friendly! I went with pup the other day, and the drive thru barista offered him a little pup cup (it was his first one)! That was super appreciated. Other Starbucks tend to run out of some of my favorite items (cold brew specifically), but this location almost always has some ready for me! Incredibly loud music with at least 3 loud speakers that you cannot avoid. Not conducive for work or socializing. I had to step outside to receive a phone call. Perhaps that is their plan to keep people moving and not to camp out. read more

It's Starbucks so by now unless you live under a rock you should know what you're going to get. So with that said, the x factor is the employees, the restaurant space itself and the cleanliness of the restaurant. The employees at this location have always been kind in my multiple visits here. Today I received a coffee and the barista asked if I could wait for her to pour a new batch because the coffee I received was on the stale side. That goes a long way because just the other week down the street at another location, I did receive a stale Starbucks coffee and it's pretty disappointing. That's your pick me up at work that you've been craving for the last two hours and then you finally get it and realize you should have just had the regular stuff in your work's cafeteria. So I'm appreciative that this staff goes the extra mile and acknowledges your presence when you enter. As far as the space goes, it's not a large space but this location is never crazy busy so I've never seen a seating issue here so it appears to be just right. And cleanliness has also never been an issue here, there's never packets of sugar thrown around the condiments counter or trashed tables. Overall, it's a Starbucks location that has good employees, always seems to have seats available and is clean. Definitely recommend if you like Starbucks. read more

I come here almost every day on my way in to work and the staff is always so upbeat and friendly. I think that Starbucks coffee in general is consistent so I like having the go-to standards and I don't stray from my order very often to explore the menu. I will say that on the days I can't leave work for lunch the protein boxes are life savers for me. This Starbucks is quite convenient for me to stop at on my way to work since it's close to the 44/270 entrance. I usually send my order through my mobile and pick it up with zero wait. However, I have ran into a couple of issues almost every time I order from here. The first time, they've completely forgotten my pastry and I had to tell them and show them the receipt on my phone. Then I waited for them to heat it up. The second mishap, my caramel macchiato was made cold when on the app, it doesn't say "Iced caramel macchiato." They did remake it and were very apologetic. The staff are usually very friendly here and the storefront is always kept in great condition! The staff is what makes me stop by this place before work over the one that is 10 seconds from my house. They are, overall, more pleasant to all their customers which is the reason why I'm still giving this place a 4-star rating. Nothing really major has ever happened with my orders and they've always done the best they could to alleviate the issues I've had with my orders. read more

I've had rude service here before but today topped it all. I used the order a head app because I'm in a hurry this morning. I arrive to the store to see that it says café is closed, but my drink should've been ready so I tapped on the door; ignored. Now I knocked on the door. Ignored. Started to call the store and finally someone came up. She said we're closed. I said I placed an order ahead she said did you walk? I said I drove she said then you need to go through the drive-through Mind you the drive-through line is extremely long. My order is expensive or I would've left. I came here on a Friday afternoon when no one else was in the drive thru. I ordered a matcha latte which was good but it's pretty hard to mess those up. The girl had to ask me to repeat my order since she was laughing with another girl over the drive thru while I was trying to order. All brand spanking new of course, this new location shares a space with a Mattress Direct and features two separate vehicle entrances and a drive-thru. Outside seating totals 4 tables while inside has a large table of 10, a 4-top, 4 couch seats and a couple of 2-seater stools. Free wifi of course and standard menu items, staff is friendly! The place is right across from the Sunset Hills shops like Home Depot, Old Navy, Bed Bath etc. so it's convenient during shopping trips, it looks like they are also catering to the business park community in the vicinity. I'm not even a Starbucks fan but I like trying new places. The Vanilla Sweet Cream cold brew isn't bad although I thought it would be sweeter. I called ahead to make sure they had strawberry refresher in stock because I didn't want to drive out there. She told me that they had it but they closed at three and I called at 2:30. I went to the Starbucks at 2:40 and they said they were closed. I even had confirmation over the phone that they close at three not 240. I understand wanting to close five or 10 minutes early but 20 minutes is too much especially when you just told me you close at three. read more

This location has a very friendly & helpful staff so I think we've decided to make it one of our stops when we're in the area! It's also a clean shop and of course Starbucks coffee is just great so it makes our decision to visit that much easier - there are so many great coffee brews & special drinks to choose from! This is my go-to Starbucks location. The drive-thru is super conviennent and the service is prompt and kind. The quality of the drinks is always perfect even though I never wait more than a few minutes for it (at most). Always wonderful. I recommend the skinny or regular mocha. Kids love the frappaccino. Using the app makes service and payment so much faster. I am not sure how I ever lived without it. Compared to others this one misses the mark. The brand is supposed to be consistent and nothing could be further from the truth. Do yourself a favor and go 1 mile east on Watson Rd to the one in Crestwood. This matches what can be found through the country. No comparison! Hello folks, After picking the kids up from school we have a weekly Starbuck's day. It typically varies and we frequent the Rock Hill store. One afternoon after a Sunset Hills Home Depot visit, I mentioned to the kids there was a new Starbuck's across the street. Let's give it a shot..... Surprisingly my daughter said dad this is the best Starbuck's period I have ever had. My son replied equally.... I then tasted mine and there was a fullness/richness about the coffee... We thought maybe this was just a fluke. The following week we went back to our normal store. It was ok but just not the same... Therefore, the next week we made a special trip back to the Sunset store to see if there was something truly different... In short, absolutely!!!! Everything was made to perfection... Not sure what it is, maybe a new store, new equipment? In summary, we are now making this our primary store and even going out of the way to make it happen.... Keep up the good work Sunset!!!! Went through the drive thru and employee Drea was the absolute most rude employee I have ever met from Starbucks. I go to that Starbucks almost everyday and have never been disappointed till now. Never have I ever had a person rip my debit card from my hand and she slammed the drive thru window open and close and said nothing but "HERE YOU GO". One of the top rated staff locations I felt like my presence mattered at this location. I tried their new PB&J lunch box for a healthy alternative to fast food menus. It was excellent, with a nice fresh half sandwich, apple slices fresh and crispy, carrots & cucumber, with cheese and chocolate covered raisins. It was satisfying. read more
