Stopped by before our long trip to San Jose The ladies at the counter were so nice! I wasn't gonna write a review, but I decided that I had to. I've come to the Starbucks a handful of times in the last few months and every single time I come here it seems like the staff is not happy and/or do not want to be here. It's also extremely dirty! All the tables and chairs have food or food residue. read more

Potentially the longest wait times you will ever experience at a Starbucks. I come here multiple times per week, as this location is on my way to work. Despite ordering ahead every time, I almost always have to wait 10+ minutes inside upon arrival. I don't normally mind doing that, but the people who work behind the counter are so frequently inattentive that you feel awkward and in the way whilst waiting. The pickup counter at this location requires that you ask a barista for your order, rather than being able to walk up and grab it, so you always have to try to ask someone if it's ready. This wouldn't be so bad if that wasn't the hardest task in the world to accomplish. All of the baristas I have personally interacted with are so inattentive and in their own world (or joking around with coworkers) that you have to try multiple times to get anyone's attention. And when you finally do, the vibes aren't very friendly or helpful. It seems at times as if you're inconveniencing them, rather than just trying to pick up your order. I have a lot of empathy for service workers and especially ones at busy hubs such as this location. I get that they have a lot of foot traffic and online orders. But the unfriendly atmosphere and insane wait times are wild to me. read more

We were out in beautiful Santa Barbara for the day and decided to make a coffee stop for the long ride home. We placed a mobile order so we could be in and out to hit the road. It took us about 10 minutes to get there. Our mobile order was not ready. No problem. There was one other customer in there amd they already had their coffee. We were under the impression they have been working on our order. Sadly that was not the case. We waited 10 more minutes until we went up and asked about our order. There were 4 coffees in our order. We asked about our order and the barista had the tags for the order just sitting there and didn't start on them until we asked about our order. It took her 5 minutes to complete our order. Our beverages were made just right and served nice and hot. It's too bad we had to wait so long for someone to start on our order. We may or may not give this location another try. I have never had this happen at a Starbucks. Hopefully, it doesn't happen again. read more

Fast service, friendly staff and clean shop! And easy to find parking. The employees have learned our name and order over time! And it's nice when the Stephanie or others welcome us back and remember us. read more

Service was slow but mainly One star because outlets are covered. Yay we love inaccessibility.

Service is fast, and on point. As a person that doesn't drink coffee i have to say in glad they have other drinks to choose from. Also Crystal is really nice and friendly. read more

Ordered à very double berry iced matcha. Told server it was made wrong was to have strawberry purée on bottom swirled on glass. He argued with me that it was in there? In there were? Mixed with the matcha? Didn't offer to remake it correctly. Worse starbucks I've ever been too. Sucky service for valentines day. read more

I've written a lot of review about the many Starbucks I've visited throughout the country. This is the first location that I've ever given a 1 star rating and I feel like I'm being generous. 20 mins after I placed my order, I asked about my order...and still had to wait an additional 5mins to get my food order which they got wrong and my drink. The barista said, she could only process orders as she receives them... This is a non-drive thru location! So the system can't tell the difference between mobile orders and "in-store" orders ? If so there system is flawed! there were many made completed orders unpicked up, while I was waiting for mine...for 20mins. I guess the baristas give priority to pickup orders? Whoever is the manager of this store gets an "F"...it doesn't make any sense for anyone to wait 20mins to get their normal "run of the mill "order. This stores staff is incompetently trained at best. There are plenty of places I can get a coffee and sandwiches in Santa Barbara including other Starbucks...will "never ever" come back...anyone who values their time shouldn't step foot in this location. read more

I went to this Starbucks expecting a simple, no-frills cold brew. Nothing fancy. Just a cold brew. I ordered, paid, and waited... and waited... and waited. 20 minutes passed. People who ordered after me got their drinks. I kept checking the pickup counter like I was waiting for a miracle. Spoiler alert: it never came. No one called my name. No one checked in. No apology. No explanation. Just pure, caffeinated silence. I eventually just walked out, frustrated and still uncaffeinated--which, let's be real, is a public safety issue. Get it together, Starbucks. Cold brew shouldn't take longer than a dinner reservation. read more

To be honest, Starbucks does it for me because I'm always on the go and it's always nice to order on their app and go pick it up from the counter for pick ups, clean restrooms, a variety of different hot and cold beverages and fun non coffee ones they can make for you or your kids too! Another factor is their customer service, they make you feel welcomed no matter who you are and are very well trained! I was assisted by Sebastian (the young man with the long hair tied up in a bun!) he was very professional and represents Starbucks well and he made my drink just how I like it and deals with crowds and long lines with a genuine tude! Thanks Sebastian for making my day! read more

Don't get food at this location, you'll never get it. Sorry but a 10-15 minute wait for a singular unheated pastry is silly. No wonder this company is such a mess. read more

This Starbucks rocks!!! The employees are really friendly and my drink is almost always made exactly the way it should be, they are very good at making drinks to the proper standard here. I've never waited for an excessive amount of time even when they are busy. I like how much seating there is and they have a wonderful outdoor patio. They are welcoming to my dog, too. This location is where I usually choose to walk my dog even though it is a bit further from me than the State & Victoria location--it is totally worth it to come here for a better experience. read more

They've taken out all of the power outlets which is interesting, considering Starbucks success was built on road warriors and people working remotely. I won't come back to this place and more and more, I'm now working (and eating) at Panera's since they offer excellent food and really good wifi (with electrical outlets) I think this move is very shortsighted on the part of Starbucks read more

Horrible service! Sunday 9/15 about 1:30pm. No one in line, order 1 coffee, 2 waters, a cookie & a pound cake. We got the water and reg. Coffee immediately. But, we're told we had to wait for the food items. You can't just get them and give to us? No, there were orders in front we'd have to wait. Okay, weird she got my regular coffee right off the bat, how much hard to get a pair of prongs and pluck the items out of dessert display? Okay, fine. We're told to wait at end for food. We wait, & wait. Cashier is taking new orders all which seem to be various coffee items. Numerous coffee order are going out including for people that came in after us. Brother comes back to table to wait with us, we tell numerous family stories. I peeked over occasionally to see if cashier getting our food, I saw her wiping down counters, helping the other lady and taking more orders. 1/2 my coffee gone and it's warm not hot, I go to the front she sees me and tells me she's getting our order! Finally! It's been over 20 min. Maybe 30. Instead of going to dessert display she gets out of cabinet and starts to take it out of the bag. I tell her that's not necessary, I'm tired of waiting and don't want to watch this woman slowly do her job. She gives us the food. I can stand inefficiency for 10 min., but then it better be resolved and action in place. I got the impression the woman wasn't trained properly and I also felt the store was under staffed by 1 person. To end it off, before leaving, I asked for bathroom code, she said 5839. I tried code wasn't working but thought perhaps someone in there and so I waited. Then, I went to tell her it wasn't working, she asked, 58999 isn't working? I told her I was using 5839 as that's what she told me. She apologized and said no, I said 3, 9s! Okay, she also has an accent so maybe she did or maybe she didn't and was playing with me. I don't know! Does Starbucks think that by waiting a long time you'll enjoy your costly food items more? Does Starbucks want to save money by under staffing? If so, get people that are quick on their feet and don't diddle around with time wasting activities like endlessly wiping behind counter, countertops while customers are waiting for their order! Train your people! If you have to stop taking orders to complete an order that came in 20 min. ago, do it! Better yet, just get the food (we didn't wanted it heated) to customers right away, it take min. Tops. On the good side, she was polite. So we got extremely bad service politely. read more

Drinks were horrible. It tasted like water and sugar with very little coffee. I switched to gas station coffee. I pay less for better coffee

I would give this Starbucks 5 stars because the service is awesome. All the barista's are amazing and do great at their job. Why are all the outlets blocked off? What's the point of having sitting areas without any useable outlets? Seems to me like the owner is being cheap and doesn't want people to use their power which is just sad. Don't bother coming here to do anything other than get coffee. read more

I'm also a barista at Starbucks, and there's nothing that warms my heart more than great customer service from other partners. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Dustin at the register. A great place to study if you don't mind the stools. This place is generally empty and I only go here as it is close to Tino's and Ralph's . Although they have never given me the wrong order they are out of core ingredients like whole milk which has never happened to me at another Starbucks. Size wise its one of the smallest Starbucks I have seen which contain tables. The baristas are nice enough and do go out of their way for you, from always asking me if I need a receipt to giving me a cup of water during the hot summer for my service dog although I did not buy anything that day. They also don't push sell their bakery items which I have heard multiple people request only to be told they are out of the requested item as well. Tomorrow I think I will grab my coffee next door at Ralph's Starbucks and then walk a block to sit here to study at the Carrillo location. read more

I regret it every time I come to this Starbucks. The employees seem to move very slow and appear poorly managed. I also see different people every time, which makes me think people don't want to work here. Today I had a mobile order that took 18 minutes to come out. Their napkins were completely empty, the trash was overflowing, and the bar was filthy. They also altered multiple customer's orders because they were out of iced coffee. I don't understand how I have such terrible experiences at this location when there are so many employees behind the counter. I love Starbucks and will continue going, but it will not be at this location. read more

We stopped at this location to get some coffee and were told we could not use the restroom.
