Coffee shops that are busy at all times of the day are my favorites! In the mornings you get people getting their caffeine injections for the day before going to work. In the afternoon you get college kids studying right before they head of to class. And in between, you get random crews of people from the local offices debating work stuff - or you get college kids debating the philosophy of life. It's pretty cool - I especially enjoy that fact that one of the baristas takes the effort to know what drinks the regulars likes. read more

I usually try not to go to Starbucks in the morning, but this is definitely the Starbucks to be in the mornings. There were multiple groups of people meeting up, grabbing coffee, and chatting. It was literally THE PLACE TO BE! I feel like I've been missing out. The baristas here are all super nice and friendly. Even though there was a huge rush, everything was clean, organized, and fully stocked. This location is probably one of the bigger Starbucks I've ever visited. I love getting my work done here! I frequent the 24hrs Starbucks next to Tanforan Mall, but after trying to do work here, I'll come more often. They have friendly baristas, always welcomed with a smile, never hurried me to order either. It's roomier than most Starbucks I've been to and usually calm, great if you need a quieter atmosphere to study. I've found the laptop bar with outlets my favorite seat in the house. Cushions are comfy so I dont mind staying a few hours. Surprisingly drinks have been consistent for me here, no complaints. read more

I love Starbuck's! I haven't been to this Starbuck's location in a while and I regret it. On my way to work, I realized that I had left my Starbucks Tumblr at home. So I decided to stop by this location to pick up a new tumblr and a tall caramel macchiato with THREE espresso shots. I always get additional shots because I love the taste of espresso, not hot milk. Well, what do you know? No extra shots that I paid for! All I tasted was hot milk. So very disappointing. Time and time again when I pay for additional espresso shots, it's very rare that I get what I pay for at any Starbuck's. Hence the reason why I've let my kids use my starbuck's card. This is a great place if you're in the San Bruno area and need a place to chat and have a cup of coffee. There is ample seating at this place, but in the early mornings, you'll see the Stay at Home Moms, the gang from The Gap across the street, and the locals who shop at the nearby Mollie Stones. My only complaint about this place is that I asked for a Caramel Macchiato and the guy didn't know how to make it. I asked for a redo, and he made it the SAME way. Big. Lots of seating. Great workers. Gets busy. I particularly love this Starbucks location because it is so roomy. They have lots and lots of seating! Plenty room for everyone. I wish this was a 24 hour Starbucks. Line can get long. If you're with someone, have one of you order and the other find a table. Indoor and Outdoor seating. Friendly workers. Great place to use your laptop. THEY NEED MORE GARBAGE CANS! or CONDIMENT AND GARBAGE AREAS!!!! Surprisingly they only have 2 condiment/garbage areas. PLUS it's in the WORST LOCATION of their store. Yes it's convenient because its right by the drink pick up area, but it gets crowded there!!!!! They at least need one right by the exit! This is a great place to study! I have been coming to this location for awhile now. I used to study at the 24 hour Starbucks across Tanforan when I was in high school, but it became too crowded. This place is very student friendly. Their baristas are extremely welcoming, and I love their line of La Boulange pastries. I can never say no to a danish or cookie. I like this spot better than the one next to Fresh Choice, but it sucks that it closes at 11pm. They have high ceilings and tables, leather sofa chairs, and even a laptop bar. The bad is not just this Starbucks, but almost every Starbucks i've been to. The Wifi speeds are the slowest ever. They are not consistent and cut my stay short because I eventually get irritated. I understand it's free, but when you can't even load Yahoo's homepage, then it's pretty bad. Great place for coffee and hanging out, not so much if you're surfing the web. I have had numerous average experiences here. It's definitely not a top tier sbux. Today I had to laugh at how poor the customer service was: Walked in and stand at counter. Not greeted for about 1 min. Everyone was busy but no hello or be right with you. I order and give my name. Literally 30 seconds later i decided to get some food. Great place to do homework! This place a lot of tables! It was actually my first time going to this Starbucks in San Bruno. It's a little plaza that has a lot of little food places such as Pasta Pomadoro. This Starbucks has a "laptop" bar with outlets, which I think was considerate since some college students like to study at coffee places. Numerous tables and seating areas for all your cup of coffee purposes. The associates are friendly, well the ones that I've encountered. This is particular Starbucks is my daily coffee place. Mostly because it's so close to my place. I can honestly say the morning crew is in on top of their responsibilities. I've been here at other times as well, can't say the evening crew even compares to the morning crew. The morning crew has so much more volume of people to deal with and are seamless in their efforts. Carlota seriously SAVED ME last week. I had gone to the west portal location for my standard tall black iced coffee, no sweetener, no milk, no room (straight jet fuel I always say) but didn't realize until I was already on my commute to work that they had added sweetener. And it was a Monday (UGH). I'm seriously not a complainer, but I just could not drink it. So, when I got close to work I popped by this local Starbucks and explained what had happened and said I would totally pay for another but before I could finish my sentence Carlotta took the drink out of my hand and gave me a new one. Wow!! This place has changed significantly from the last time I was here. It appears as though some sort of expansion took place. Slow service, largely unmotivated staff and frequent extended wait times in the ballpark of 15-20 minutes

I handed the Barista 2 empty jugs of half and half. He opened both of them and handed me back one jug with 2 table spoonfuls of half and half left in it. Okay how about give the customer some fresh half and half instead of asking the customer to use the left over which had been sitting there all morning? You think if you have to replenish one, you may as well replenish the one with 2 table spoon left? Waited 15 minutes for a cup of coffee and a Barista liked that was not acceptable. Final note: it wasn't even a customer's job to let them know they were out of half and half. I can't really tell if this place was mismanaged or just the Barista. read more

This is probably my favorite starbucks in the area. It's big and I've always been able to find a seat here. It's a great place to study without feeling claustrophobic or having people stare at you while thinking "are you going to leave anytime soon..." Overall, I'm a fan. This is a pretty standard Starbucks. There's nothing at this particular store that I haven't seen at dozens upon dozens of other stores across the US. It's true - occasionally someone who works there might have a bad day every now and then.. but that's life. They're never outright rude or intentionally disrespectful, and it doesn't happen very often. read more

Unless you do a mobile order ahead of time and pick it up, don't even bother coming here if you are looking for quick service. I've never continuously waited so long for coffee. Youtube and Walmart.com are major conglomerates that stand tall and proud in this area. In light of this, the nearby Starbucks that is across the street at Bayhill is typically busy. Before going to work, I punch in my mobile order. When I get to Starbucks (typically at 7am), the establishment is crowded with a diverse crowd of folks. I am usually greeted by Luke who is busy slinging up coffee for the masses. Despite his busy nature, he manages to remain calm, cool, and most importantly, pleasant. He doesn't let the crowds get to him and offers up outstanding customer service. The same goes with Josh... Top-notch service and a top-notch Starbucks location. this is nicely located in a plaza with a number of other venues that I generally like to go to....especially EB games for my gamer fix. besides the location the space is rather large with big windows....lots of big windows. there is some nice metal sit down amenities outside however I generally find it a tad cold most of the time. there used to be a time when I used to gamble. and when I did not want to become too blatant about my practice to increasing my odds I would drive down the street to this branch for some practice time . . . not to mention the girls here were cute as hell. ;D read more

This is my absolute favorite Starbucks location! That is due to the wonderful staff, especially Steven and Carlota. They always remember my name, and I know they go through a lot of customers! My other favorite is the sweet older lady with glasses. She always gets my spinach savory and is so happy so early in the morning. I'd have to say this specific Starbucks is not concerned with customer satisfaction for the following reasons: 1. After informing the cashier that I had a birthday reward and scanning my phone to pay, he was too slow to react, so the amount was charged to my gift card. When I told him my reward was going to expire and I wanted him to reverse the transaction so that I could use my reward, his response was, "It's too late." I guess in this Starbucks the customer is never right. It wasn't until I told him to cancel my order altogether, that he decided to inform the manager to cancel the transaction and re-do it . You should have done that in the first place! 2. My drink was given to me incomplete, sloppy with coffee all on the sides, and when I took my first, second, and third sip, it tasted of water flavored coffee. I mean, I don't have high expectations for Starbucks because lets be real, their coffee usually tastes burnt or ill prepared, but this time was extra annoying and disappointing. If it wasn't for my birthday reward (FREE coffee), I wouldn't have come here. I can't wait till Philz coffee opens up around me for some quality, lovingly prepared coffee!!
