This morning, there was quite a queue waiting but I checked and yes, you can order from the app. No need to wait in line! The pizza place down the hallway isn't open this early and they have power outlets, so no problem with eating and hanging out there until it's time to board. Service was great. Sandwich was supposed to be cheddar bacon- ended up with Gouda bacon. No biggie but not what I ordered. Coffee was extremely burnt. Supposed to have a 4 shot grande cappuccino w hazelnut and coconut milk. Milk scorched, zero hazelnut. So freakin hot, burned my tongue. Ummm can't really expect much from airport Starbucks but some will surprise you. I think Hawaii and cancun annnnd Seattle have done a number on me so I'm so picky now lol. Got ice green tea latte, no need for syrup or extras but I do ask for light ice and some that notice that will add extra matcha but.... Not here. It seemed like I was being a bother when I mentioned the little things I didn't want and want, coconut milk, light ice and no syrup. ( the look was priceless with light ice) I have a venti cup of iced green tea coconut milk flavored latte. I will definitely drink it and just note not to come to this location unless I want a basic all the bells and whistles drink young kids get. Located in the main terminal, adjacent to Delta gate A4. This airport location isn't too shabby. Plenty of seating which includes several leather sofa chairs. There are charging outlets in addition to all the perks of a typical SBUX...crafted coffee & tea, small snacks, fresh fruit, ceramic mugs and a full food item menu. Perfect for the grab & go cup of "Joe" before boarding or chillaxing during a layover. Please be advised: service is slow as molasses and lines are usually pretty long. A very busy Airport Starbucks location! Stopped in for an iced coffee to caffeinate the brain cells prior to boarding my flight back to Dulles. Service was very fast, coffee was really good. They do need to spend a bit more time cleaning the seating area, quite a bit of trash and a number of tables needed to be cleaned. read more

This is probably the worst service I've had at Starbucks so far. I traveled with family so we had a big order. They were in the middle of switching shifts, which i understand can get chaotic, but no matter what customers first. Even if you've clocked out, you are still representing the place you work at, and this is why they deserve the bad review. They got our orders wrong, and was very impatient. When I told her I was not done with my order, she rolled her eyes really hard. Overall was a terrible experience. I get that it's 5 in the morning but the workers were less than polite. They got a very simple order wrong twice. I ordered a plain bagel and a matcha green tea latte with almond milk. I got a cinnamon raise bagel and a latte that was made with milk. When I explained I was then told they didn't carry plain bagels and just gave me a random bagel and after a sigh I was made he correct drink but only after they cleaned the machine with probably the grossest rag I've ever seen. As far as Starbucks go, this one is ok. After all, the coffee is the same as well as the food options. The shortcomings is in the space. First, not enough work areas. After all many of the people passing through the airport are business travelers. Next, too few outlets, which are prized by all. Finally, they do not have their own wi-fi, so you have to jump on the St. Louis airport wi-fi, which is really slow. read more

I've had no problems with this location. Service is fairly speedy. Sometimes the employees are a little short, but there's often a line/people trying to book it to their gate so chattiness doesn't serve anyone well. Whenever I've thanked the person handing me my drink I've gotten a genuine you're welcome/have a good day/etc. On my most recent visit my Frappucino was a little more liquid-y than frozen, which I actually preferred. It kept the bottom from becoming a flavorless pile of snow. If you can snag a seat, the chairs in their lounge area across from the counter are considerably more comfortable than the airport seating by the gates. It gets a bit loud with the blenders, but it's not overwhelming. Long story short - it's a Starbucks in an airport; either you want it or you don't. read more

Your cashier was obviously new cause she needed help, but got annoyed with me when she had to have help with "MY" order and her boss with those long ass extension in her head was no better cause she seemed annoyed to have to help. No "mam" not here that's on the street not in this airport 'mam" with the nastiest tone and demeanor. And then they say thank you cause they have to not because they mean it, followed by "Mam"...rude asses need to learn where there tips come from and that's not from calling me "mam" in a condescending tone. I'm not sure which Starbucks this listing is for. There is one in main terminal outside security which has a lot of seating and has always made my drinks very well (no complaints) and one inside main terminal on the left after the Admirals Club inside security. The one I'm referring to now is the second one, inside security. It does have some nice seating unlike what a previous reviewer said. It has a couple couches and tables and chairs. The coffee was good. They did take my Starbucks loyalty gold card there like all of them in my experience. Maybe the other reviewer got a new person, I'm not sure. I didn't expect much from an airport Starbucks but wow this one is terrible. The workers were very mean to each other. It took them forever to make drinks. They didn't seem to have a good system going. Their process consisted of one lady taking orders, one making them, and the other one telling the girl making them how badly she was doing. I heard her say once "if you don't know how to make a drink don't make it." But she didn't seem to be helping much. It took an extremely long time to make anyone's order. The floor was dirty as well. They ignored customers after they gave them their drinks. Two customers asked for spill stoppers when they received their drinks and were completely ignored by the girls working. Starbucks is my JAM. I keep it simple with a non sweet almond milk latte or I drink it black. This location is different. I don't know if they brew it differently or if they just don't know what they are doing but it never tastes as good. Baristas are grouchy most of the time. Edit November 2017: I fly out of this terminal several times a month and I can confidently say things have improved at this location. I sometimes encounter employees who smile back to me when I smile to them. Service seems quicker on a reliable basis. Fair is fair, so thank you very much to the management for making early morning traveling coffees a more pleasant experience. This deserves a further star addition. I'm comfortable with rating this location as A-OK for now. Edit summer 2016: I've noticed an improvement in the speed of service at this location in the past six months so I want to note that for the record. I appreciate getting my coffee without too much goofing off behind the counter. The wait staff still isn't very friendly but I added a star for the decreased wait time. I still prefer my neighborhood 'bucks and other local coffee shops where the employees at least pretend like they recognize my humanity when I'm standing in front of them. Original review: Southwest terminal Starbucks is the absolute worst. Customer service is non existent. I have had my order screwed up, partially forgotten, etc more often than not at this location. Today the guy stopped halfway through my latte to chat with another worker. Then AFTER the cream stopped frothing he decided to "help" the cashier and chat with the customer. After finishing that convo he was starting up a chat with someone else when I reminded him about my unfinished latte sitting there cooling down. He finally managed to finish the drink after checking his phone a couple of times. A different time I contacted the franchise owner and he promised me free coupons to make up for that previous foul up. Then he forgot to send them until I called back 3 weeks later. His response and the poor conduct of his employees tells me the franchise owner doesn't care -- the airport customers have few other options and he has little incentive to run a tight ship. Poor customer service comes from insufficient training and incompetent management so I suspect these employees are not receiving the same level of training and support that other Starbucks franchises provide to their employees. Too bad really, it makes flying Southwest that much more aggravating and does a disservice to the Starbucks brand. read more

Another horrible corporate policy! What rocket surgeon thinks this stuff up. I ordered and received 2 Americanos which were, you know, the same as always. Pretty good, not special. I paid with a gift card, no problem so far. Now I want to tip but only have 20's so when the girl brings my coffees I asked her to break my 20 so I can tip. Nothing different or disassociative about this location other than it's in the airport. Dropped in right before my flight to get a perk me up and was served quickly and politely. This airport is pretty laid back so I doubt they get a crowd ever. No seating in this location, it's just a walk up style setup. Smaller in size overall than most any other I've seen but that's relative to the size of the airport I would think. read more
