What a happy surprise. This made my day.
Veronica B.

I love this location. The employees are always so friendly and my drinks are always made right. They have seating outside and inside. The bathrooms are clean. They also have a drive thru which is a huge bonus.

Welcome to the notice board

Nice newer store where everything is clean and neat. The service in store and drive thru has been great the three times I have come here over the last two years. Parking is good in this location that is by itself near a Sourdough & Co sandwich store. The drive-thru is busy but moves in a timely manner. Just off Folsom Blvd, getting in/out of the the parking lot is straight forward. There is seating inside and outside that isn't right next to the street which keeps it a little quieter for hanging out. There is good covering for outdoor seating that is great in on the hot days. Can't wait for covid restrictions to lift and the warmer weather to arrive.

LOCATION: Across the street from the courthouse and on the corner of Howe and Folsom. You can only get in is you take the Bicentennial turn going east. If you're traveling West on Folsom Blvd then you have one last right turn. There's plenty of parking here. I've always going a spot. It's shared by one other business. Sourdough and co. DECOR: Typical Starbucks decor. A bit Moody, a bit modern and a bit mysterious, but cozy. PRICE: $3.95 for a DRINKS: Grande Honey Citrus Mint Tea is my all time favorite drink! If I'm feeling something a bit more warming and cozy then I go for the hot Carmel Macchiato FOOD: I usually get the bacon, egg and cheese or the ham, egg and cheese breakfast croissants, but I can't do cheese anymore so I'm super sad about it. STAFF: Always super helpful and kind. Haven't had any complaints about anyone here. EXPERIENCE: I really like this location because it is close to my apartment. We don't have a lot of places nearby so it's really nice. It's not a busy location as far as traffic since it's kind of desolate. Works for me just fine. My only problem is that they close too early. They close about 8 p.m.. They are 3 mins from Sac State and my apartment complex is full of Sac State students and they want to close at Grandma's bed time? Ugh!

Service was good but today I got my usual Venti pink drink with soy milk that I always get (at different locations) and it had an odd taste. Tasted almost fizzy and made my tongue feel weird after taking a few sips. Almost as if it was spicy and even now my tongue is tingling with a weird sensation. I also found weird little chunks of white substances that I have never seen in my drink before. Sadly I didn't see this until I made my way home and was too far of a drive and inconvenience to go back. Not sure what's going on with this drink but absolutely terrible. I have never had any problems ordering my drink this way until today.

I came here on a Saturday morning and there was only 1 car in front of me. The service was pretty quick and extremely close to the freeway. I ordered a venti pink drink and this is usually my "go-to" drink. But this specific morning was more white then a light pink color. The way they made it wasn't as good this time around. When I got to the window the barista was friendly and greeted me with a smile.

Literal plastic bits

Literally had to make an account just to rate this Starbucks a 1 star. We ordered 2 drinks and one had black plastic which looked like bits from a straw. The other drink with a giant piece of hard plastic or rubber, looks like pieces from the blender I'm assuming. This is the worst Starbucks experience I've had and will not be trying this place again. Please avoid its genuinely dangerous. I hope I didn't swallow literal pieces of plastic.

The coffee has a nice roast and shines through the drinks. I also tried two of their vegan donuts: the chocolate blackberry and their peanut butter and jelly donut. Both donuts were good but I enjoyed the chocolate blackerry donut more. Overall, a great coffee shop to visit!

I ordered an iced oat milk latte with their homemade honey sweetener and an almond croissant. I wanted to try more of their food menu, but their kitchen does not officially open until 10 AM and I was there too early. The service was friendly and attentive. I was the only customer in there at the time, but it was nice to hear a little bit of their backstory. The space is clean and modern and definitely the sort of coffee shop. I would want to hang out and spend some time in. As for what I ordered, the latte was creamy and perfectly sweet without being overpowering. The almond croissant had a slightly overpowering almond extract flavor to it. If the almond extract was toned down a little bit, it would've been perfect. I look forward to coming back and trying more of their food menu at another time.

There's different Filipino/Hawaiian dishes like a katsu, loco moco, and longanisa. They had baked goodies like ube muffins and pandan cookies. For drinks they were plenty of coffees, lattes, and teas. It was pretty busy so it took a while for our food to come out. Any time we visit Sac, it is one of our go-to spots! They do an excellent job of sourcing their coffee beans along with roasting them. They've gotten exceptionally good at standardizing their drinks across the board as well. We have also tried many of their drinks outside of what we ordered today, including the 1987, 18 to the Brain, Thai Coffee, and Mexican Mocha. They have a food menu as well, which ranges from rice bowls to breakfast sandwiches. It's a great place to go to meet with friends, studying, or working on a project. They also have a good amount of seating inside, but it does fill up quickly! They do have WiFi (and outlets) and one single bathroom. Given we have been coming here for years, it is a must whenever you're in the Arden area!

It comes with powdered sugar all over the top and your choice of jam or maple syrup. I went with the jam and I really enjoyed the waffle with it. The coffee was of very high quality. I had the cold brew with their sweet cream on the top. The cold brew was strong and the cream had a premium stiffness to it that standard coffee places don't do. It was not very sweet and for those who enjoy their coffee with less sugar, this is great. I found the coffee enjoyable throughout my time with it as I sat in the cafe hanging out with my friend. Their coffee offers the strong, bold flavors of traditional Vietnamese coffee while also introducing fun and interesting variations, the honeycomb and fish sauce coffees being some of my staples. Service is quick and friendly, and accommodating to dairy substitutions. SWeet Oven shares space with the Sandwhich Spot, making for a clean cafeteria feel. The people are friendly and knowledgeable if you have questions. It's family owned. Finding it is annoying because it's in a larger corporate building and shares the space with the sandwich spot. There's plenty of parking around the area, but only a few spots right in front of the entrance. Full review: Been coming here for a little over a year. Tried almost all of their drinks, cookies, and macrons, including several of their rotating specials. I've also had their savory croffle and it was delicious. This place is BY FAR the best matcha/coffee shop I've ever had. If you are a Dutch bros or Starbucks person, you may not love it. This place is not about dumping sugar into all their drinks. Flavor comes first, sweetner is secondary. Food/Drink: I'm not the coffee drinker, my partner is, and he rates his favorite as follows: 1. Pistachio Latte 2. Fish Sauce (it has a strong caramel flavor with a little saltiness, no fish flavor) 3. Cookie Butter 4. Black Sesame He's tried every coffee on the permanent menu and these are his favorites. Now for the Matcha/Teas. I can't pick a favorite, because they're all perfect. Not too sweet, and whatever the flavor, it stands out! For example, when they had a pistachio matcha, I watched them crush pistachios for my drink specifically. The flavor was so strong and they clearly know what they're doing picking these flavor combos, because it was excellent. I also love the banana matcha, the banana pudding matcha, the mango matcha, and the double matcha. But the star is the mango sticky rice matcha. I've only had it twice because it's a WHOLE MEAL in a drink. It's delicious and unique and the flavors are outstanding. It actually has all the ingredients of mango sticky rice, including cooked rice. It's amazing!! My personal favorite drink, that I've got the last 10 times I've visited is the black sesame hojicha. It is seriously the best drink I've ever had. Right now, I think they only have the double black sesame on their menu, but I've asked for this every time since it was on their specials menu and they still make it. The cookies and macrons and AMAZING. The s'mores cookie is my absolute fave and the damn crème brûlée macron is in my top 10 desserts of all time. The savory croffle is also a surprisingly good breakfast choice. I honestly thought there is no way they could be doing all of this well, but they don't put anything on the menu that isn't delicious and well made. Service: We've been here so many times that we've been lucky enough to talk to both the husband and wife that own the place. They are so damn creative and come up with the flavors for not only the drinks, but the pastries. They are both very nice. There are a few people working the registers every time we visit and they are helpful if you have questions and they're quick to get these drinks out even though they basically prep the ingredients fresh for each drink. Location/parking: This place is a pain to find. It is across the parking lot from the bank entrance, sharing a space with a sandwich spot. There are a few parking spaces in front of the store, but the parking on the main street is free. There is a lot of seating inside and large tables for big groups. There are even plug in areas at the bar like seating along the windows. Unfortunately, they aren't open on Sundays or it would be the perfect study spot.
