It's a great place to just hang. It's a great place to hang with family and friends. It's a great coffee date spot. The staff is super friendly, and the store is clean. The food is properly prepared, and the drinks are made correctly. I ordered my usual- a turkey bacon sando with sriracha, and my "adjusted" cannon ball drink. Service was fast. I wasn't going to sit and enjoy, bug their expedite service, was the key. My sando was perfect. My cannonball was also made and ready like it was synchronized. Plus, it was tasty! I don't have too many complaints. The order always comes out pretty good. There is a certain frapp that you order which can be hit or miss, but it changes depending on the barista at each location. This one is usually decent and prepared well. I am only curious about how come we are now asked for tips at a drive thru window? When did that become a thing? The only thing consistent about this location is inconsistency. Tonight I ordered two hot vanilla lattes through the drive-thru. A pretty simple order, right? Unfortunately, it was anything but. First, let's talk about the $0.80 upcharge for a shot of vanilla. It's frustrating enough that Starbucks and many other coffee shops nickel-and-dime customers for something so basic, but I was willing to pay it for both drinks. The order screen confirmed the extra charge, and the order tags on the cups reflected the same. However, the drinks I received? Absolutely no vanilla. None. Nada. It was clear that the upcharge didn't make it into my cup. The first sip was downright horrible--bitter and bland, and definitely not the latte I paid extra for. This isn't the first time I've had issues at this location. Whether it's wrong orders, subpar service, or the surprise of finding the store closed in the evening when it's supposed to be open, the frustrations have added up. After tonight, I finally decided it was time to leave a review. Starbucks needs to address the quality control and service at this location because as of now, it's just not worth the hassle. First visit here is a hit! Seems bigger inside than it looks like from the outside. Good indoor and outdoor seating options. Small parking lot but wasn't hard to find a spot and under a tree's shade. Busy drive-thru that is easy to get in/out of. Modern style inside. Plenty of staff that is keeping up with the demand today. My Iced Green Tea with Extra Ice was just right. This Starbucks is great. Friendly Staff, big open interior and nice seating outside. I do, however, have a couple of things to grumble about. First, the drive thru line is abominable. It usually extends across the whole lot (during busy times), preventing others from parking to walk in. I usually park on the street to avoid this. It would be a prudent idea to turn your car off while in line to save gas and coincidentally decrease greenhouse gas emissions. I'll take that a step further and suggest that Starbucks start incentivizing this. Or, just walk in and order!! Just my spin on things... Second, There seems to be no or very little process to expedite picking up mobile orders. I rarely hear names being called out so the customers have to figure out which drink is theirs. This location is way too busy. I mean the drive-through restaurants will take me a minimum of 30 minutes just about any time of day. So if you want coffee, make sure that you are ready and that you have time to sit to get your coffee. Of the net going inside is way better. I'm rarely motivated to review a Starbucks, let alone post an update for a Starbucks. However, based on multiple experiences at this particular location I can safely say they are consistently knocking it out of the park in terms of drinks made to order, cleanliness and - most importantly - great service. It would be easy just to knock off stars because they are so often busy. The drive-thru line, especially during COVID, was often intolerable. But that's also the price of popularity and they have stepped up. It doesn't matter how busy they are. I'm always greeted by someone cheerful and friendly and I've never once had a problem with my order. If all the other Starbucks out there are listening, take note. This is a fairly new Starbucks on Folsom Blvd. The drive-thru is always pack, but they move pretty fast. The interior is spacious with lots of seatings. There is also an outdoor patio with chairs and tables. I would imagine it's pretty cozy and relaxing around sunset or early morning time. After asking the barista for my extra oat milk she said she couldn't do that without charging me more. This is a wonderful Starbucks. I love that they have a drive thru. The store is very clean and there's a lot of space to work, hangout or just sit down to enjoy your drink/food. There is a patio section which is lit up and looks very nice. There is also plenty of parking in their parking lot. I can imagine when the middle school gets out of school for the day that this Starbucks can get really busy. I can also imagine that turning left at the drive thru to get back on Folsom Blvd can be tricky but once you are in the middle lane you should be fine to get over. Always a great experience every time I visit. Always friendly staff, great drinks (venti ice mocha frap in summer, venti hot peppermint chocolate in winter). I am a dark roast guy and sometimes prefer an Americano to the dark roast brewed. I order the same thing practically every time. Inside its not as bad but the drive thru? This Starbucks is super frustrating because they are always missing ingredients or out of stuff. And I've been coming here for months.

My danish was covered in little specs of ashes and debris from the warmer/toaster. They were also out of lids for the cold foam drinks on a Sunday (drinking a cold foam beverage through a straw is super disappointing). Starbucks whole existence is pretty much rooted in consistency, that and silly seasonal drinks (which I admittedly love). This location seems like it might just need a little support on the quality front. read more

Although I do like going to this location, I find it odd that they occasionally just have the drive-through open and the rest of the establishment closed. This is the only location I have seen do this quite often. Not sure if they are short staffed or any other reason. I am just wondering why. This new Starbucks is beautiful on the inside. Sadly, staff could use a little more training. If several other customers are grossed out by the dirty barefoot dude with his feet resting where people put food, and one brave soul points it out to staff, staff should respond appropriately. This location of Starbucks in East Sac is one of the better looking stores...probably because it is brand new down to the studs. Built on the site of a former defunct fast food restaurant, the rebuild includes a large modern seating area, outdoor patio space, and a wide drive-thru. The new interior has clean lines and ample room to order with a separate area for mobile orders. Everything gleams. As I always say, Starbucks is Starbucks, and what makes each location different is the customer service. When I walked in and ordered my standard Americano, the staff was friendly but a little slow. It seems the crew is still getting into the groove of the new store, and in time I am sure things will work more efficiently. The fact that staff seems "smiley" and in good spirits goes a long way. The Americano was good, as it always is. There are several great locally owned coffee venues along Folsom Blvd -who roast their own beans and offer a higher quality of product. To be honest, I usually get a coffee at one of these when in the area (no offense Starbucks). However, for those Bucks' addicts, They will love this convenient new site. read more

I ordered a 1lb of Mild blend (French Press) and espresso roast (espresso machine) to be ground in the drive thru and they messed up the grind. (Had them backwards) Drive back for the grinds I need. Manger rolled her eyes when I asked if I cld have a drink to compensate. I didn't care about the $4 they gave me, I was the ambiance that was disappointing. read more

Husband and I were stopping by Sacramento on our way to Tahoe, and was thoroughly impressed by all the excellent reviews for this establishment. Upon coming in, it became immediately clear that the reviews were more than justified and well earned. There is a dedicated parking lot for this Starbucks with about a dozen parking spots, and it also has a drive through. The place is extremely clean. All the tables are wiped, no leftover trash, no sticky residue. The floor is the same. There are two non-gendered bathrooms to the right of the entrance, which had a light sweet fragrance upon entering. Also impeccably clean. You'll find only a spacious room with a single toilet, toilet paper dispenser, and toilet cover sanitary seat covers. There is a trough sink that is located immediately outside the two bathrooms. The sink is very cool, there are two metal bars, underneath each is equipped with motion sensors for handsoap (left), water (center), and an air dryer (right). The inside is very spacious with plenty of round and long rectangular tables to sit at. There were college students studying, some old friends catching up, and us. It had a comforting ambience with acoustic music playing in the background, quiet but not too quiet. The staff are very polite and friendly, they seem to call your completed orders by order number rather than name so there's no accidental misspelling on your cup lol. The nitro cold brew we ordered was delicious and came extremely quickly. I think of all the Starbucks locations I've ever been to throughout my years of travel, this one might be easily the very best. read more

Cashier Aly was extremely rude and unprofessional. I have never been treated so disrespectfully at a Starbucks before. I ordered a drink, and noticed she made me a different drink(she did this before), so I refused it. She not only got upset, but threw the drink into the sink with force and slammed the cup on the counter. She then proceeded to make the correct drink, but instead of just handing it to me or putting it on the counter without saying anything, she showed an aggressive unprofessional behavior, and a disrespectful attitude in the workplace towards an individual, who has not only been a customer of Starbucks for over 25 years, but in the coffee industry for over 30 years. read more

Super friendly staff and open late ! (11pm) which I believe the hours are stated different on Yelp and online. I called to ask and that is how I found out. I ordered the apple crisp macchiato and it came out perfectly and promptly! There is a good amount of space to study, do work, or converse with someone. Not for sandwiches. If you look at a picture of their turkey rueben or even grilled cheese you'll see a decent amount of filling... opposite of what you'll actually get. I get that marketing makes those pics look as great as possible but where is the line where it becomes false advertising. I tried these a few times to see if it's just a new staff issue but it's been pretty consistent that what you see advertised is far from what you'll get. Maybe if I feel like I have money to burn I'll try another location but definitely this is not the place for an almost $8 sandwich that's mostly bread and an embarrassingly thin amount of insides. Drive thrus and coffee are both a hot commodity at any time period, but especially during the COVID-19 shutdown. The convenience and experience of just picking up coffee here is unparalleled. While I'm not the biggest fan of Starbucks overall, I have to say this is one of my favorite spots. The workers here are friendly and energetic and will make sure to get your order right. Sometimes the lines in the morning can be long, so order ahead with mobile order and they will allow you to pick it up outside. My go to drink is a vanilla latte, which tends to be on the sweeter side here. I also like how they don't charge extra for almond milk unlike some places. My new favorite Starbucks, they always seem to correctly make my drinks and make them well. The drive-thru is a well oiled machine and flows smoothly. I'm never in line longer than 10 minutes if that, a definite bonus. I miss the old Burger King purely for nostalgia sake as I used to go there as a kid, but I can't tell a lie. I'm loving this spacious and modern new drive-thru location. I've been lucky friendly and chatty baristas have taken my order- I'm a morning person, sue me! It's nice talking with other adults so early in the morning that will engage back and not give a monotone delivery nor irritated dialogue. Please keep it going, 53rd and Folsom!
