The Starbucks on Sierra College Blvd in Granite Bay has quickly become one of my favorite drive-through stops when I am on my way to see my aunt at her memory care facility. The double blended Java chip. Frappuccino is her all-time favorite. Also, their menu upgrades lately have been amazing -- there are so many new drinks, breakfast items, and small bites to try, and everything I've had has been absolutely delicious. It's nice to see so much variety beyond the classic staples. I personally have loved all the new Matcha flavors that they've introduced (the banana, double berry and Dubai are all fantastic!) and have even ventured out to try the Ube coconut cream (typically on the macchiato) on my Matcha as well and I would highly recommend it. What really makes this location stand out though is the staff. Every time I go through the drive-through, they're incredibly friendly, upbeat, and welcoming. Even during busy times they keep things moving while still making the interaction feel personal. Great drinks, great food options, and consistently great service. Ordered one drink through mobile and showed up 15 minutes after order placed (longer than the stated ready time). Two customers walked in to order and were served drinks earlier than my mobile order drink was even started. I asked and they said they prioritize cafe orders, even cafe orders that take them to go. Orders should be served FIFO. This location is also ALWAYS understaffed for how busy it is. Glad they're busy, but hire/schedule more employees for a better customer experience. read more

I hardly ever go inside a Starbucks location - usually it's on the go and in the drive through. I was looking for Christmas/Holiday merch so I came inside this location this weekend. It's a large Starbucks with a big outdoor patio. Lots of parking in private lot. Near Sierra College at Douglas - same parking lot as Safeway and Mc Donalds. They had the full selection of 2020 Holiday items so I bought a ton of mugs and tumblers for gifts. I also got two Peppermint Mocha Frapps to go. The employees were super friendly and helpful. Decided to review this location after seeing what others complain about in their 1 star reviews.....complaining about scraping your own arm on the shelf at their register?? Forreal? I typically come here shortly after getting an acai bowl in the same shopping center for lunch. I've always ordered via mobile order right as I leave Vitality bowl. I arrive within a few minutes and my order is always ready and a barista always notices me and hands me my drink. I appreciate the mobile orders being kept away from customer's reach covid or not. In the past when my mobile order was left on the counter they've been taken by other customers. Or some customers will go through and touch all the tops of other's drinks looking for theirs instead touching the sides and turning the drink to read the label. It's never crowded around lunch time when I go and very few customers are sitting inside and outside. There's a good amount of seating inside and plenty outside. I frequent this store from time to time. It's a nice place and seems like a local hang out. However, if you are in a rush don't go here. They have tons of mobile orders so they take precedent over the ones who just order at store. I average about a 10 min wait with no one in front of me. Slow slow slow. read more

This location is great to hang out, do any work check up with friends and get a snack. It's in a great location the lobby is great size and its not to loud in there. There is no drive through but that is perfect and which makes it less crowded. read more

The epitome of convenience as Starbucks is known for being at every corner, but this one is at the corner of where I live! I've been coming to this Starbucks since High school so it's been here forever. The location is very very clean and service has been excellent as far as I can remember. I love coming in on cold days and grabbing my White Chocolate Mocha with Chocolate Drizzle. I wish this place was open later during the week but I guess it's not profitable as it is Elk Grove. On the weekends starting Friday, this place gets pretty packed in the evening and finding a seat can be a bit bothersome, if you find one at all. This place is pretty popular. Good thing is, if it's too crowded, there's always the next one less than a mile away.. Ha! Overall, I really like this location and the coffee has been very consistent. You can't compare it to a locally owned coffee shop, it doesn't have that feel but it's good enough for me to hang out and study at. I'll definitely come back here, as I'm sitting here right now... and with the new free Wifi, I think I might be here more often. read more

This location has a unique layout! Definitely different than most locations that I've been to. One thing I enjoy about this location is the amount of outlets that they have. There is at least one at every table! ^_^ I came in and ordered a Cloud Caramel Iced Macchiato. Me: May I please get a Cloud Iced Macchiato? Worker: Caramel? Me: Yes! When I got my drink it came out to be a hot regular caramel macchiato. With confusion, I informed the worker that I meant the cloud macchiato. And she came to me and said "No you ordered the Caramel that's why i asked you". And I replied "Oh, I thought you said Caramel as one of the options since it is either Caramel or Cinnamon". She had put me in an awkward state and made it seem as if it was my fault...? Nonetheless, I was willing to take the regular but she remade my order. Though, the drink itself wasn't great and now I wish I took the regular. Their tables aren't often wiped down as I've noticed. I had sat at a table that was sticky with lettuce on top. I asked a worker if they had a rag for me to wipe down since napkins wouldn't do any justice, one of them just looked at the table and said "okay!". As she did, it was still wet and I just wiped it with a napkin myself. Quaint little location in the plaza if you ask me. Great place to study and do work. Although, I wish they would have faster wifi as I had trouble even getting through websites on my laptop. Sigh. read more

Do not place mobile food orders here! Twice recently I've placed a mobile order for food items, only to get to the store and realize they're out. Fine, no biggie, I understand that happens. The issue is with the refund process. The first one supposedly went back on my debit card, but I never got it. Last week, the cashier asked me to refund it through the app and surprise, surprise, I never got that one either. So they've essentially ripped me off twice. I really like this Starbucks. They have a very nice patio with chairs, tables and umbrellas. I love coming here to meet up with friends for a mid morning coffee and some good conversation. The baristas have always been really busy any time I've been there but they have always been very courteous and quick. The inside is a little crowded all the time but any time I've chosen to stay inside because it's a little too chilly to sit outside, I've been lucky enough to find a spot to park with my friends. Although I love this Starbucks, and they never mad a mistake on my drink, ever!!! Until tonight! I don't know who these new employees are that work here, but they have really bad customer service skills, and they don't know how to make coffee. I walked in about to order my favorite holiday, and I noticed one of the employees saw me come, and she didn't greet me, she just stood there texting on her phone, I had to say excuse me like 3 times in order to get her attention. This is a Starbucks with all the amenities you'd expect at a Starbucks. Note that there isn't a drive-through at this one, however. They have a nice plaza outside on both sides where you can have your coffee al fresco. The cool thing about that is shade/sun avoidance (whichever tickles your fancy). The inside is nice and clean with a bar-type long table you can sit at and a group of other tables to sit at behind s wooden partition. There could be more outlets to plug in your computer, though. The staff is nice and friendly and very collegial. The location is set in a strip mall with Safeway, Staples, Wells Fargo, and various other restaurants and businesses, so it provides a nice respite from running errands. I am a self-admitted Power-User of Starbuck's. I have a lot of meetings here, I use gift cards to give to my clients, and overall I am very positive on the experience. This store made a major change recently with a remodel of their space and attitude. The store has been somewhat closed off with a wall down the middle and no longer has the open feel. In addition, there must be some management shift, as the employees do not seem to personify what I usually experience at SB. I would advise the SB on Douglas down from Sierra College about 100 feet. read more

I've been coming to this location for about seven years and it never disappoints me! The baristas are really sweet and nice, very welcoming and great customer service. The inside is very clean and have great seating. They are very community oriented and I can tell they care about the customers that come in. The drinks are always very well made with great care. They are always understanding, if I don't like a drink they will make me a new one, even if it's my fault LOL. All of the low reviews are just people finding the smallest things to complain about. Most likely they have never worked in customer service. This is a great location, I recommend coming here. read more

Not really a big chain coffee fan. I like small local roasted coffee that isn't burnt but that's a whole other review. Needless to say I chose tea. I'm very picky with my tea. 16oz cup, put one oz of cold water in the bottom, then 14oz hot water. Brew for 90 sec., pull tea bags, let water from tea bag drain into cup, no dunking up and down, add one last ounce of cold water and we're good. I understand I'm picky so when people don't work it out I don't really worry about it. They didn't give me the usual concerned look and check back with me 20 times to see if they got it right. They went right to work. Set a timer, only asked one clarifying question and they nailed it. Way to go Starbucks staff! Another thing I really like about this Starbucks is that they have a lot of college students from Sierra College there. Okay so all Starbucks have college students but this one in particular has more since the school is across the street. It just gives it a young and alive feel. The place is clean and it's not huge but there is enough space in there. We went on a Saturday late in the morning and there was still seating available. read more

The "Breakfast Club" meets here every day! Aka. "The U.N.", we keep this place alive in the morning. The reduced-fat, turkey bacon, egg-white sandwich is the best even if it's a lil on the dry side.
