Lunas Sunday Cafe Moreno Valley…read more Date went 6/19/26 Ordered 3 drinks Ordered at around 3:42pm and got our drinks at around 5:50pm so about an 8 minute wait time for 3 drinks. I think this is really good considering how busy they were Location it's near Cinnabon and Chuze fitness, so it was on the opposite side of the mall from where we entered (Macys). DRINK ORDERED: Banana Pudding Matcha I'm only going to be rating the drink I personally had. RATING: 7/10; I never thought banana pudding and matcha would be a flavor combo I'd drink together, but it was overall decent. I wish they would have put a small layer of banana pudding at the bottom of the cup and then the layer at the top. I was only able to taste the banana pudding until I was almost done with my drink. It's not something I'd drink again personally, but it could be others cup of tea! My other two parties got a Coconut Matcha and Luna Latte and they both gave it a 10/10. So, maybe I just didn't get one of the better drinks on the menu. Overall, my aunt and grandma stated that they would definitely come here again. I personally wasn't the biggest fan of my drink, but that's just me

The baguette was perfectly toasted, and the pesto sauce was rich, cheesy, and full of flavor. We also tried the cupcakes, which were incredibly tasty. They have a great selection of baked goods, including a variety of cupcakes and danishes, making it hard to choose just one. The service was excellent, even during a busy morning rush. The staff was friendly, efficient, and kept everything running smoothly. Although the café is on the smaller side, it's thoughtfully laid out with plenty of seating to relax and enjoy your coffee and food. Overall, it was a wonderful first experience, and we'll definitely be back!

We waited at the pickup counter for a few minutes until we were finally noticed (I could see our items within reach but waited). Might need to have employees at least welcome and reassure us that we will be helped. The drinks had the right amount of sweetness and the coffee was not bitter or over bearing. The sandwiches were a let down. The feta sandwich had a tough chew on the ciabatta and the French toast bun was falling apart. Presentation was a bit bad as they kept the parchment paper they reheated it on with the sandwich which was burnt. I still want to try more food though as the desert offerings looked amazing and will definitely try more drink options.

There's a part of the place that has a great backdrop for selfies. Plenty of pale were sitting around meeting for Bible studies or working on the computer. Today, the decision was easy because they put 2 of my all time favorites together, matcha and cinnamon rolls! Wow! It was so good 10/10. I also got cold brew with salted caramel. This was also very good! 10/10. Service was great. She was patient while I decided what to get.

I watched 3 employees look my way, talk about my order that was sitting there and just kept looking confused as to what needed to be done. I think there was one young lady making drinks that looked like she wanted them to snap out of their confusion and start helping. The employee who took my payment was friendly. This was my first visit so I was excited to try their cupcakes. I was surprised that they do not list cupcakes ANYWHERE on their menu. That's odd to have Cupcakes as your company name but not advertise them. I ended up asking if they sold them. I ordered the chocolate cupcake & banana cream pie cupcake along with an almond croissant. When I opened them at home it was very obvious that these were at least 2 days old. Still I thought the flavor could be amazing so I had not lost hope yet. Unfortunately, the chocolate cupcake was awful from the frosting to the cake. The cake was horribly dry. The frosting was melting from sitting for days. The banana cupcake was decent but the taste of the frosting was off. The cherry on top was was dried out. It probably is a good cupcake, just not days old. The almond croissant is known for being next day use but this was also days old. It had a rancid smell and it was too dry. They should have pulled the old product and should not have sold them. Better to say you're out of stock than sell a bad product. I threw the cupcakes away so I only have a photo of the almond croissant. I decided to write this review after the 3rd item was inedible too. $15 thrown in the trash. This was a very disappointing experience and I will never give them my business again. Others may have a great experience and should give them a chance, but for me it was too many negatives to go back.

I originally came in planning to order a bagel with cream cheese, but once I saw the menu, I decided to try one of their breakfast bagels with chorizo instead. It definitely did not disappoint! The bagel was fresh, flavorful, and made for a satisfying breakfast. I also ordered a vanilla iced coffee. It was okay, but nothing particularly memorable--it tasted like something I could easily make at home. It wasn't bad, just not the highlight of the meal. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, with both indoor and outdoor seating available, making it a nice place to enjoy breakfast. They also have croissants. Even though it was busy, the service was friendly and efficient, and I didn't have to wait long for my order. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the bagels. If you're looking for a good breakfast spot in Moreno Valley, this place is worth checking out.

For a quick breakfast on the go, I also ordered the banana nut muffin, which was just okay. I really enjoy supporting smaller, mom-and pop businesses, so I'm glad I gave this place a try. One thing I've struggled to find is a local spot that makes espresso as strong as Coffee Bean. I'm happy to say this place definitely delivered! Their espresso is bold and strong, right up there with Coffee Bean and Luna Cafe, which is exactly what I look for in my coffee. I also enjoyed their variety of flavors. It's nice finding a local spot that doesn't sacrifice the coffee flavor just to offer sweet drinks. I've noticed that supporting local coffee shops can sometimes mean paying a little more than you would at bigger chains, so I really appreciate finding a place where the quality and flavor make it worthwhile. Definitely adding this one to my list of local coffee favorites!
