Hey Bobaloca! Why is your employee working in the heat, with no AC running?! Cheap. Go figure since the powder used for your drinks is so low grade! Why is Midori melon slush NEON GREEN?! I feel like I should stop by a power plant to let them know some chemicals ended up at your store! Tastes horrible. So artificial! For over $6 I expect higher quality. New management needs new management. I wish I could give 0 stars! No lie. Your employee was great and super friendly. It's MANAGEMENT THAT NEEDS A REALITY CHECK OK!? I'd say close up shop but that kid needs a job. Don't apologize. Do better. Come on, boba drinks aren't that hard. Put in the effort or sell it to someone that cares.

The inside is cute and has a nice ambiance. Has good service fast and efficient. I got the Jasmine Green Tea Iced which was good and refreshing but I wish they had cheese foam on the menu. I also got the Caramelized Brown Sugar Milk Tea Caramelized Brown Sugar Milk Tea with boba this was okay the flavor was there at first but quickly just became one flavor only and the boba was definitely not fresh.

This place was terrible 10 years ago and it's still terrible today. I went to the high school down the street and my friends and I used to come here after school until I discovered the amazing boba shops in downtown. I avoided this place because I knew it was terrible but I saw the "New Management" sign so I thought after 10 years some things had to have changed. NOPE. The quality of drinks here are still horrible. I ordered a Taro Milk Tea no boba, I noticed they still use the same powder to make it so I instantly didn't have high hopes but some how this tasted worse than it did a decade ago. It literally tasted like just taro powder and milk, no sweetener. I went back inside to ask the girls working there if the drink was supposed to be sweetened. She said yes and I explained to her mine does not taste sweet at all and I would appreciate it if they could remake it. The second one did taste a tiny bit sweet but this time they gave me a drink with no ice. I NEVER ASKED FOR NO ICE. It was 100° outside and all I wanted was a refreshing taro milk tea but instead I got some lukewarm watered down crap. I couldn't even finish the drink after two sips, I just poured it down the drain and cut my losses. There is no reason to even put up a "new management" sign if the quality is still going to be 0 stars. On top of which they don't offer any other toppings other than boba. Every other boba shop I've been to has a variety of boba, jellies, and pudding. Avoid this place at all costs. You'll just be disappointed. Every boba place in downtown Riverside is 100 times better than this place and well worth the drive.

If you change your hours to 12pm, then open at 12pm. It's 12:25pm and I've watched 4 customers walk up to a locked door with an employee inside. I'm sure this place wants business but the inconsistency will lose business. Do better and open on time read more

The drinks are alright, but the super weird hours ruin it. After today, I'm done. This place's hours are wildly inconsistent. They never follow posted hours. Today I showed up after a long week and after having sat in an hour of traffic to a sign that reads "closing at 6:30, sorry for the inconvenience!" It's 6:05. They are very closed. Done. read more

This place really needs help. Used to love their drinks but after the last few visits I'll just give my business to other places that actually value my time. Last week I drove here after work to get a drink and the door is open but the employee says they're closed. Strange because the hours online show they are opened until 8pm. Okay whatever. I come back today before 7pm and walk in ready to order when I'm told they're are out of boba! A boba place that is out of boba?!?! The worker tells me it's because they are closing. So what time do you actually shut down? It's ridiculous and frustrating that I even rushed to get here and convinced the whole family to get a drink. For what? Inconsistent hours and product availability. read more

Super upset. I took my children out for a treat today. The drinks are fine... but the poor employee is working with no AC and it's sweltering in there. But the thing that made me most upset is that they have PORNOGRAPHIC YouTube movies playing in there. I didn't realize it until after I paid and we were waiting for drinks. Now I have to explain to my little ones what "f**** horny" is. Will never go back. read more

This place was terrible 10 years ago and it's still terrible today. I went to the high school down the street and my friends and I used to come here after school until I discovered the amazing boba shops in downtown. Honestly the new ownership must suck and not regulate their establishment. MULTIPLE times I have gone for the convenience of the location but 90% of the time the order is wrong and the kid working does not acknowledge the line that at the register waiting to order. read more

I've always loved boba loca. Since the new management I've been coming more and my drinks seem to taste better everytime. I feel especially lucky when the owners (husband and wife) are working and take my order because they always seem to make them perfectly sweet, perfect consistency, and just the right amount of boba and not the syrup that comes with it. They are as sweet as can be and definitely make me want to keep coming back to support the business. read more

they are under new management. Last time i was here was years ago and i can say it has really improved. Had the caramelized brown sugar milk tea and it had the right amount of brown sugar (not too sweet) and the boba is the right consistency. Will definitely try again read more

First time to try. Impression ? It is indeed watered down. The Thai tea with boba my daughter ordered by waiting 15-20 minutes is not as good as we thought will be. At almost the same price, I will rather drive to Ten Rens to get my regular drink. Four stars for the 2 workers who are trying their best to fullfill the order. read more

First time here as we found it on Yelp. I would say at first we were a bit nervous as we don't like getting boba or shakes,smoothies, drinks from just any place but this turned out pretty good. We were a bit spectacle on going since some reviews were negative on customer service, but we still decided to give it a try. We personally didn't experience bad customer service. We placed an ordered, and we got our order. Fast and simple. The drinks did have a little of a healthy kick to it but we enjoyed the flavor. We got an Oreo milkshake and a vanilla frappe. You should try it. No 5 stars as we've only been here once. We shall keep trying other flavors and hopefully our experiences remain the same ! read more

I have been coming here for my delicious Thai Tea/ Taro. Sadly under new ownership the drinks are no longer made the same way. They make the Thai tea with low fat milk instead of heavy cream/whole milk. That's the reason it's watery. I'll make the drive to OMOMO Tea Shop in Chino Hills instead. read more

Great place to satisfy our boba cravings! Milk tea flavors were a little limited, but they had the essential flavors. Something unique about this place place is that they provide the boba toppings for free! First boba place I've been to that does this. I got the Thai milk tea with boba. Sweetness level was perfect - sweet but not too sweet! Size of the regular boba was just enough for me. Customer service was friendly and fast. "UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP" sign outside : okay... My husband orders Thai tea w boba. Wayy too watered down with too much milk. Not enough tea. He also mentioned how the owners husband and wife had an issue w the computer and they argued in front of him in a different language for a while trying to fix the issue. ALSO**!! All the tables in their restaurant except for two were folded up so other customers couldn't sit there.. so making it unfriendly to order and sit down and enjoy your drink there. It was also uncomfortably warm in there. Lastly, I go to use the restroom.. I big sign on it that says "STAFF ONLY" UGH! This pregnant woman needed to use the restroom. Rude! Very NOT Customer friendly and encouraging you to take your drink OUT with you. So don't expect a welcoming chillax environment. No where to sit and no restrooms for customers. They need to fix all this asap if they want to be successful in my opinion. read more

I stop here multiple times a week. I am kind of addicted to the caramelized brown sugar tea. My kids love the smoothies with jellies. The drinks are good, the store is clean, and the staff is friendly. Best place around for boba. read more

I was pleasantly surprised when driving by the area that there was a highly rated boba place I hadn't been to before. When I walked in, I was surprised by how busy it was. There was a line for the kiosk and after I ordered my drinks, the line was consistently to the door. There was a very wide selection of drinks to choose from and I appreciate them having unique flavors and twists to drink. I was contemplating between a matcha einspanner and the oksusu (corn) matcha latte. When I asked if there was a way to mix the two, Taylor was super friendly and helpful to explain how each drink was made and differed from one another and then took the time to give me options on how I could change up my drink. I ended up going with the oksusu matcha latte because the Korean in me loves corn drinks but Taylor had the barista add a rim of matcha syrup that you typically get in the einspanner. I loved the oksusu flavored foam with the little crunchy puffs. The matcha flavor was a little lighter than I typically like but still props for the unique take. My hubby got the Hokkaido milk tea. It was definitely a very sweet drink with a caramel like syrup in it which is different than how we've had Hokkaido milk tea at other boba places. If you aren't into super sweet drinks, I would recommend going lighter on the sweet level. You order through the two available kiosks here. I highly recommend downloading their app as they have promotions very often. My go to drink at Krak Boba is forever the Matcha Storm (Slush) and my wife wanted to try the Moon Princess drink. As the Matcha Storm is always a wonderful choice, they're always very consistent with the drink. Super refreshing no matter the situation and this time was no different. It's one of their most popular drinks and for good reason. My wife's drink, the Moon Princess was in my opinion, even better than the Matcha Storm. I don't know how to really describe it, but it was a taste that I had rarely seen. It was super refreshing, a mix of floral and oolong, it was just the perfect drink. Certainly a good recommendation for such a unique name for a drink. Overall, 10/10 Krak Boba locations, they have other locations and they're all wonderful. Love the consistency.

Even at medium spice, it had a nice kick. There were no weird pieces either. The only downside is some inconsistency in size since a few pieces could be smaller. The mozzarella sticks were also very good. I prefer them with ketchup instead of marinara. They are your typical mozzarella sticks and taste good, but the popcorn chicken is what really stands out.

Their coffee, tea, and baked goods are fantastic, but the main reason I love this place is because it's very cozy and the perfect place to read, study, catch up with a friend, or go on a date. They have a special, themed menu that changes every month. There is almost always seating available. They have a small book exchange, often sell local art, have cute merch, and just opened up a bakery right next door with extra seating. I'm kind of a snobbish third-wave coffee person and although this place isn't trying to be that way, it still is my favorite spot because of the overall vibe, how genuinely kind and down to earth the baristas are, and how comfortable it is. It comes with grilled chicken, lettuce and tomato, all on a toasted sourdough bread covered with pesto and cheese. For the side I typically get the Italian pasta salad, which is always delicious. One thing about this sandwhich is that the chicken will never cover the entire bread and it will never be distributed evenly. So you will always have one half that has less chicken and ends up being part veggie pesto sandwhich, which is still worth it. The other favorite is a turkey club sandwhich on a croissant. It's basic, but also very tasty. They also carry a variety of pastries and serve Klatch coffee (brewed coffee) if you need a sweet treat afterward.

As far as options go, I think there's a decent selection of more unique syrups for coffees. They do change it up throughout the year. On this particular trip, I wanted to try their new syrup flavor (it was some form of orange zest, or something similar?), but noticed my latte had no real flavor in it after a few sips. Upon looking at the receipt, the person who took my order just gave me a regular cafe latte and didn't add the syrup I requested. The coffee was fine, but I would have liked trying something new. I have gotten several of their food options before, and I think that some of them are well-priced for the portion and some can be more on the expensive side. I think the avocado toast was pretty robust and was a good value. The steak and eggs are somewhat hit or miss, and I have had it multiple times. The cut of the meat can be chewy at times, and then also more lean and tender other times. Sometimes it comes with large pieces of chewy fat, which isn't quite to my taste. The sandwich options generally are a good value. I do kind of wish they switched up their menu a bit more often, since this current menu is rather basic and they have had more interesting food options before. Overall, a decent choice for a more premium coffee, tea, and food for the Downtown/UCR area of Riverside. Service is okay, and I have had somewhat mixed experiences with that. The employees generally seem pleasant and they're nice, but I have gotten incorrect orders at least a couple of times. During this particular visit, in which the photos are from, I had to ask two different people to get extra napkins. Our actual server was the first to acknowledge, then possibly forgot and didn't come back.

So we moved into the neighborhood a year ago. My wife and I moved here after graduating from UCI, so it's safe to say, we have tried our fair share of boba. We were so happy to see that we had a boba place right down the street. Our first experience with the store was good, for the most part. The employees were polite and responsive and the tea came out quickly. I was surprised and a little disappointed that my bill was $14 for 2 large teas, but I could get over that. They are the only boba place around....I would charge more too. The tea was good, nothing special like fresh fruit or anything, just good. My most recent experience is why I won't be returning. I ordered my wife and I's normal order ($14) and this time I asked for a side of boba (my two year old was with me and it's her favorite thing in the world). As boba is free and neither my wife and I include boba in our drinks, I expected to be able to get a some on the side. The owner replied that they do not give sides of boba. Ok no problem, I will go ahead and pay for the boba, what's another 50 cents on $14 after all? She replied that they do not sell boba. Wait, and boba tea shop doesn't sell boba? That's when I asked her to cancel my order and I won't be returning. Maybe I am overreacting in protection of my child. I just feel like this should be an option. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

I just moved out to the Riverside area from Fullerton, and I have to say that the Bobaloca out here is pretty much on par, and at times, even better than all the other hot boba spots in the OC. I expected low-quality boba and low-quality drinks, but my assumptions were definitely proven wrong. I love that I can ask for however much boba I want, and they don't charge me anything for it. Also, the Thai Milk Tea and Tapioca Milk Tea are absolutely phenomenal. Apparently, all of their teas are freshly brewed using legit tea leaves that are imported from abroad (according to the friendly owner who took my order). I also highly recommend their waffles. The employees working the night shift told me that it's a new menu that they just released, and the responses to it have been excellent. The waffles are cooked fresh and to perfection, and surprisingly, don't leave you feeling heavy and guilty after having eaten one. This little boba spot is out in the middle of nowhere, but they are still running strong and on their 6th year of business; maybe this fact in itself, speaks of the quality of boba and drinks you will find here. To everyone talking about why the owners are so cheap, I used to work at one of their other locations and the store was very slow and not making a lot of money so they wouldn't allow us to turn on the AC, they also would tell us to close down the store very early because it was slow, they also are very unorganized and there were countless of times where we would be out of milk or supplies were bad and they didn't bring new ones until a week or two weeks later. The owners blame the workers for the place being slow and not making money. They also give the workers bad checks. Just a horrible experience working for them. read more

I've tried several different boba drinks in riverside and this by far is the best. I'm a huge fan of their Taro Slush and this is the only place that makes this drink right! A problem I have with a lot of boba is that the tapioca balls will taste strange and almost medicine like, this place has the best boba I've ever tasted! I'm sure that I've come to this place over 40 times in the past 6 months and I've yet to regret purchasing a single drink! This is the place to go for all your boba cravings! read more

This place is always SO busy! And it's easy to know why, they have amazing drinks and the fresh smoothies to die for. I am not a fan of boba or mochi, but I've heard that is really good. All their drinks can be made with boba or without. I am a huge fan of the Strawberry-Banana Loca, and Peach-Mango Tango. (SO AWESOME!!!) ALL THEY GOT IS "FRESH! FRESH! FRESH!!! Came here because of all the reviews. Got a tapicoa milk tea as a tester because in my mind if you open a boba store and you suck at making milk tea everything else would suck. Got mine and the taste was ok just a tad bit too sweet in my opinion. The boba was meh the cheweness of it was a bit hard and didnt have much flavor to it. Overall it's decent boba for a decent price. Nothing to write home about. read more
