This Starbucks is located in the Marriott downtown hotel in Richmond. You can access it through the lobby or via the street. They offer order ahead, but are limited in how they can receive payment that way. I had to order at the counter. The line moves swiftly, staff were all friendly (over 2 different days) and my orders were prepared quickly and accurately. I was happy with all of that. Even the whole area is clean. Unfortunately, some quality concerns might exist. My super fruit greens juice that I got on the first visit was expired by 3 weeks. I didn't notice this until finishing the bottle. I'm still alive. Yaay. The nuts with my oatmeal tasted a bit old as well. I'm surprised I encountered anything like this with the throughout here. The super greens juice I ordered today was not expired, so at least they need the stock appropriately. I noticed it's also hit or miss with what you'll find on the shelf. A single vanilla yogurt one day, but none the next and only strawberry shortcake yogurts. It's not a consistent stock. Overall, it's ok here, but they have areas to improve. read more

A clean, well-staffed, and nice Starbucks in the lobby of Richmond Marriott on Broad Street. They offer a whole range of wraps and sandwiches that they can heat up for you. Like any Starbucks, they asked for my name. Except : when my sandwiches were ready (I was sitting right there in the seating area in the Starbucks), they did not bother calling my name. I had to go up to the counter to discover that it has been ready. Staff was busy chatting amongst themselves. No other customers. Just 3 of them behind the counter. read more

I have been coming to this location for almost a year, and today, November 5, 2025, was the worst experience I've had to date. My normal routine is to place my order via the app as I'm leaving my office building. As I arrive at the counter, I say good morning with a smile and hand my cup to the barista and confirm my mobile order with a personal cup. The barista takes my cup and makes my order in my cup. This morning, this did not happen. As I arrived at the counter after saying good morning, I extended my cup to the barista (female with blonde and pink hair - 1st barista), confirmed my order, and, using her head and eyes, pointed to the end of the counter saying, "It's right there". I repeated that my order was for a personal cup, and the barista again, using her head and eyes, pointed to the end of the counter and said again, "It's right there". I asked Are you not going to put it in my cup? She responded, "Normally we make it and..." as she paused, I shared normally I approach the counter, hand my cup to whomever is working this station, and my order is made in my cup. She asked another barista to help me. 2nd barista, a young lady with long dark hair, asked, "How can I help you"? I extended my cup and mentioned that I made a mobile personal cup order, and I'm being told that my order is here at the end of the counter. The dark-haired barista takes my cup, looks around for the ticket (there was none because the 1st barista never took my cup), looks at the 1st barista and asks, "What was the order?" 1st barista responds and shrugs her shoulders, saying, "I don't know, it's right there". The 2nd barista takes the premade drink's top off and pours it into my cup. I asked are you were going to add the topping, as it was left in the cup? She then asked me if I wanted her to remake the drink. I replied, "That it would be great." She hands my cup to the 1st barista and states, "She wants us to remake it, the 1st barista states I have 2 orders ahead of her. I'll make it when I get to it." When the remake was done, the 1st barista walked my cup down to the pick-up station, put the cup down harshly, walked away, and called my name. All knowing, I was standing there waiting. I picked up my drink, walked over to the sugar, milk station, stirred up my drink, and took a sip. The drink was so lukewarm as if she had not dumped out the previous order, or after making let my cup sit there before taking it to the pickup area. I got in line and contemplated asking for a refund, but remembered that this location does not give refunds on mobile orders. The 2nd barista (dark-haired female) was working the cash register. She asked how she could help me. I told her I was not trying to be trouble, but my coffee was nowhere near hot. She looked surprised and said, "Really?" I stated that this tasted like she didn't pour out the original order and just let my cup sit there. She stated that she poured it out herself. She offered to remake the order extra hot this time. While she was remaking the drink, the 1st barista came from the back and asked the 2nd barista, "So, what was wrong with it?" When she handed me my order, she reminded me that it was made extra hot and to be careful. I thanked her and walked out. I'm not sure what the 1st barista had going on with her today, but she did not display good customer service, and I had never been treated like that before in this store. Location is inside the Marriott. I ordered ahead and got my coffee about 5 mins later. It was made perfect - which doesn't always happen. The inside of the Marriott has a lot of seating and is really nice and modern. I'll most likely be back tomorrow! read more

I was surprised to see how fast this line went through. I came down for some coffee and breakfast to take back to our room. I ordered 2 grande pikes, 2 bacon egg and cheese sandwiches and 2 juices. The young lady behind the counter was super nice and accommodating when they couldn't find any more bags, they made a point to look in the back. Good experience. read more

I'm starting to like this Starbucks better. While still a hotel version of the real deal, the menu is the same just a tad higher pricing. The employees here are generally friendly and it's clean. I've never had any issues with consistency of product. This is a nice escape for me on my lunch break when I can use a caffeine pick-me-up. read more

It's a full service store in the ground floor of the Marriott but they don't have bagels and other breakfast sandwiches which is sort of a pain since there aren't any breakfast spots in walking distance- and I didn't have a car. On the three days I was in town, there were lines that were about 10 people deep and it moved swiftly with no errors in my order each time. There is a little space to sit down and drink your coffee in the store (along with pllllllenty of space in the lobby) and the baristas are knowledgeable and friendly. read more

Told I could have anything else when I said no thank you no refund was offered. I had to ask. Then I waited another 5 minutes to be told someone would help. Even though this is a hotel version of Starbucks (don't accept rewards), this is my favorite Starbucks in Richmond. My office is in the building right across the street and I have been coming here just about every morning in my 2.5+ years working downtown. They get my order perfect everytime. I always light cream in my drink, and they always add the perfect amount, not too much and not too little! They get very busy in the mornings, but they are able to keep the line moving very quickly which is nice. The staff are all very friendly as well! read more

This is a Starbucks housed inside of the Marriott Hotel. It is compact and efficient. They can handle the crowds and move the line in a matter of minutes. They have bakery goods and oatmeal, but they don't have the hot egg sandwiches like a full service Starbucks. I guess they have to limit their competition with the hotel's restaurant and breakfast offerings. So this is a Starbucks inside the Marriott. You can walk in through the front doors and head to the back of the ground floor and you'll find them tucked away facing the back of the building. Their menu is more limited than the usual Starbucks (they don't have salted caramel mocha frappucino) and they ran out of Soy milk! WTF. I ended up taking their white chocolate mocha which was watered down. So disappointed =/ They do take the rewards card. read more

Came here and order hot green tea latte. The staffs took a long time to make the drink even though the line wasn't crowded. The drink wasn't stirred well and all the matcha powder stayed in the bottom of the cup. read more
