I'm a regular at Starbucks back home and this weekend while visiting family in Red Oak I stopped at the location on East Ovilla. My daily order, the bacon egg bites and apple crisp shaken espresso, never disappoints. However, this morning, my experience was less than stellar due to the service I received from Alizia. I usually try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but Alizia's attitude was quite unpleasant. I informed her that I wanted to use the remaining money on my scan and pay and use stars as well, as soon as I pulled up to the window. She scanned my app, closed the window, and then reopened it, saying, "I need to scan it again because I would need to know you want to use stars before I scan," accompanied by a nasty stare. To add to the frustration, my drink didn't have the extra shot I had requested. Alizia also inquired about my food order, but when I told her, she closed the window. She returned shortly, saying, "Hi, your total is $5.61," only to realize that I was the same customer to whom she had forgotten to give the food. Overall, the experience at Starbucks this morning was quite underwhelming due to the service, but I am relieved that the quality of their beverages and food remained consistent and satisfying. read more

Mobile order. Ordered Decaf cold brew no ice When picked up order, had ice. Was ignored by staff for over 5 minutes standing at counter. When I said "excuse me" someone came over. I showed them label for no ice on cup with ice. When I received my replacement coffee. I discovered it was caffeinated. has to toss the whole coffee. The drive thru line is consistently long, only to sit there for 40 minutes only to make it to the window and they tell you they are out of what you came to order. Now you have to sit in the line another 20 minutes bc your blocked in and can't pull out of the drive thru. I thought I'd avoid this by placing a mobile order to pick up via the app. ANOTHER FLOP. This is the second time I placed a mobile order to pickup, the app stated the time it would be ready for pick-up, only to arrive and still have to wait an hour for my order. Nothing terribly wrong with this run of the mill freeway adjacent Starbucks, but it wasn't a top-notch coffee spot, either. The drive-through is a bit of a cluster with a tight turn to negotiate among a busy parking lot and a bustling Chick-Fila next door. They were out of the prominently advertised cake pops we wanted but the barista was perfectly polite about it, so we ordered another flavor. Afternoon iced teas were an amazing thirst quencher on a hot day - the attractively sized patio with comfortable seats would have been the ideal place to enjoy them if it weren't for the roar of traffic on the nearby busy access road. read more

I ordered a trenta strawberry açaí WITH extra base,when I got to the window the barista handed me a reg strawberry açaí with NO extra base I could just tell by the color(I get one or two a week I know what I'm talking about) so just to make sure I took a sip and I was right it didn't have extra base so we told her and she took the drink back.which I'm pretty sure you aren't allowed to do that but she "fixed" it.It was not fixed it was not even a little better so we told her is still wasn't right so she goes back and grab a grande cup with JUST BASE like what are we supposed to do with this and she kind of just sat their like she was confused.Then we turned around to go speak to the manager because I literally paid $7 for this drink so I better get what I paid for (I don't care if that sounded bratty that's just how I am) when I went inside I told them the situation and she not the manager apologized or said anything helpful. Was heading to Dallas from Austin and needed a final pick me up before my final destination and this location was the easiest and first one nearby on the highway. There are a few in Waxahachie but they would take a little more effort to get to from the highway. I opted to order inside because of the long drive through line and also an exercise to stretch my legs and a short bathroom break. The bathroom lock doesn't work though but the restroom was clean. I ordered and the wait was a little long because the drive through and this is typical of Starbucks. My drink was costly at almost $7 and I didn't have my phone since I left it in the car and I knew I should've ordered through the app because paying in person you're presented with this tip screen on the point of sales system with minimum $1 tip. I'm sure I could've figured out how to switch it to custom tip or no tip but the screen is one of those smaller tap thingies. If you decide to work from here there were only a couple of people doing that so there is ample space. read more

This is our go-to location. Everyone is nice, our order is always right, and their cup selection is great.

If I could give them a zero I would for service because customer service is non existent at this place. The way I've overheard them talk about customers on the inside to the rudeness in the drive through is ridiculous. The wait times are completely off so don't go by that if you order ahead might as well order it there and attempt to wait. To be as busy as they are and the only Starbucks location in Red Oak it requires patience and none of the people that work there have it along with manners. Don't bother saying thank you because you won't get a you're welcome. The fact I said thank you twice and got back silence then a nod of the head is ridiculous if you don't know how to be polite in a drive through you need to get out the window. Let's start with the fact I order not only DoorDash but mobile orders at about $30 a day as well and sometimes twice a day during the week and the bacon on my sandwiches are never done. The drinks hardly have all the ingredients consistently so with all that said I'm going to take it as a sign to keep my money in my pocket and put this habit of going here away! This was the best Starbucks I've been to! The employees were very nice. I got the vanilla shaken espresso with oak milk and it was made perfectly. I also got the egg bacon and gouda breakfast sandwich it it was AMAZING. The sandwich was nice and hot, eggs were fluffy, and cheese was actually melted. They even gave me napkins that were nicely rolled up, I've never been given napkins by Starbucks before when I've ordered food let alone them being nicely rolled. read more

Extremely rude!! They made my drink wrong twice. When I pointed out the fact that it was too weak and did not taste like it had three shots of espresso in it, she assured me it did and said that if I needed another shot in it to make it taste right I have to go pay for it! The service at this establishment is really good the employees are on top of things and kind to the customers. I have given this location all of the chances in the world, but today's experience has totally turned me off from ever coming back here. If I could give it no stars, I would! I placed my mobile order at 7:26am and got to the store five minutes later. When I got there, my order was not ready yet (not the first time). So I waited for it. 10 minutes turned to 20. Finally coming up on a half an hour. 30 MINUTES! I had to ask for a refund because I was going to be late for my job downtown. I've had many instances where I've had to wait 20+ minutes for my drink, but NEVER almost a half hour! The sad part is, I was not the only one who was waiting so long for my drink. There were more people around me who were waiting for so long for their drink. In the end, I waited that long for no drink. I am livid! Mobile order is supposed to be quick! I will not be returning to this Starbucks again, even if it is right down the street from me. I will go to the location on Pleasant Run instead. read more

This location is super convenient. And I understand changes in schedule due to COVID but put a sign up saying when you're closed. On several Occasions we've sat behind another car for an extended period of time with several cars behind us. Once the car drives off, we notice it's taken an unusual amount of time to hear a voice only to find that they're closed. We drive off only to see the car behind us doing the same. We always have excellent service from so many team members at this location. While online orders aren't linked well to what they actually have in store, they are always apologetic and offer other items if they are out of anything. I have been in to this location on multiple occasions to study and the staff has been overwhelmingly kind. It's close to home and my preferred place for some studying. The baristas are easy to talk to and have even offered me water on the days where I am strictly going in to study and enjoy the atmosphere. My only con is the new closing time change from 10pm to 9pm but I understand. I recommend this location. read more

I've been to this location several times. It is very convenient right off of I 35. I almost always get the chai tea latte will the tea bags versus the syrup with a splash of heavy cream and sugar free cinnamon dolce. Delicious! My order is always correct. I have to say, I love this Starbucks for two reasons. 1. On the way to work. 2. Nice patio. - I order online every morning usually 8-15 minutes prior to arriving and 90% of the time I find myself waiting for additional 10 when I get there. What I'm struggling with is when I arrive, there is usually two to three standing around while one barista is doing the online orders only. I feel it would be more effective when the others are waiting for inside customers or drive thru customers, join in and help, but no one does. I'm still coming here but find it so much faster to come in and order because that person is always standing there waiting. It will get better, hope! read more
