I ended up ordering a blended passion fruit lemonade - it was extremely sweet for me so I had to get home and cut it with some unsweetened tea. Later that afternoon, I checked my pending bank transactions and noticed I was charged an additional $1.39. When I reached out to corporate, I was told the charge was valid because I asked for a "cold pour." I never asked for a cold pour I simply asked for no ice. If requesting no ice results in an additional charge, that should be clearly communicated at the time of ordering. Customers deserve the opportunity to decide whether they want to keep the ice or pay extra. Transparency matters. I am a frequent Dutch Bros customer, which makes this even more disappointing. It's not about the $1.39 it's about not being informed upfront. I hope management reviews this policy and ensures employees clearly communicate any additional charges moving forward.
