The staff always make my order without me reminding them "no whip." Courtney and Mark are fabulous every morning.

From the moment we walked in, the vibe felt like a cozy cabin retreat with rustic accents. It was clear that a lot of intentional thought went into designing this space, it's one of those cafés where you keep noticing little details the longer you're inside. Merch is everywhere in a very on-brand way. Immediately to the right, there are T-shirts, mugs, and other coffee-related items for sale, including ground coffee beans. Just about everything is branded with the café's name. Personally, I'm not sure I'd wear a hat or T-shirt with a restaurant's name unless I worked there, but I can see how fans of the brand would enjoy it. Seating options are plentiful and varied, which I really appreciated. You can sit inside, on the rooftop, or on the outside patio. According to their website, they also rent out the Legacy Room, rooftop, fire pit in the rear, or even the entire house, with pricing clearly listed. They also host monthly events, which makes this spot feel very community-oriented. While it wasn't super crowded when we arrived, the chatter was lively and created a nice, welcoming energy. The staff matched that vibe, friendly, warm, and attentive from the start. The menu offers a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and smoothies, along with breakfast, lunch, and a custom brunch menu on Sundays. I would love to see more vegetarian options added to the menu, though. That said, there was a solid pastry selection, including several vegan and gluten-free options, which was nice to see. I ordered one of the January specials, the White Mocha Valencia Latte, and my husband went with an Americano. Drinks are available in 12oz, 16oz, and 20oz sizes. We also ordered the Flatbread. The online menu listed mushrooms as an optional topping, but they didn't have any available, so I opted for no toppings. We decided to eat the flatbread there, and a very amicable young lady brought it out to our table. I really appreciated that the staff took the time to double-check with the kitchen before saying no to anything. I asked if they had crushed red peppers for the very cheesy flatbread, and after checking, she let me know they didn't. My latte was enjoyable, well balanced and sweet without being overbearing. The flatbread was just okay for me. I wasn't a fan of the marinara, and I think crushed red peppers would have helped elevate the flavor had they been available. Overall, we enjoyed our time at Woodlands. The space was clean, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was ideal for writing, reading, or catching up with friends over coffee. It's definitely a thoughtfully designed café with a lot of potential, and I'm glad we finally made it in.

After driving past Trattoria Di Napoli for months, my husband and I finally had the opportunity to…read moretry this cute Italian spot in downtown Perry. When we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly hostess who seated us immediately. The restaurant itself is quaint and cozy with an ambiance that feels casual yet slightly upscale, perfect for a relaxed date night or when you want to feel a little fancy without having to iron your clothes first. One thing I appreciated right away was the menu. It wasn't overwhelming but still offered a nice variety of Italian classics. You'll find fresh pasta dishes, wood-fired pizzas, and entrées like chicken and eggplant Parmesan, along with several traditional Italian desserts. There was a decent amount of options. Our waiter was professional, friendly, and attentive throughout the evening. To start, both my husband and I ordered the Hugo Spritz. They were light, refreshing, and very well made, basically the kind of drink that makes you want to sit back, sip slowly, and pretend you're on a patio somewhere in Italy instead of Middle Georgia. As a pescatarian, I originally ordered the Trota al Forno, a pan-seared seasonal fish entrée. Sadly, our waiter had to come back with the disappointing news that they were out. My pescatarian heart sank just a little... but hunger waits for no one. So I pivoted and ordered a Caesar salad with grilled shrimp instead. My husband ordered a pizza, half pepperoni and half cheese. The pizza here is very thin and wood-fired. We both enjoyed the pizza, it had just the right balance of sauce and crust, and everything was seasoned very well. It comes with eight slices, but because they're so thin, they disappear quickly. My Caesar salad was fresh and topped with nicely grilled shrimp. The house made dressing had great flavor, though it was a bit more generous than my personal preference. If I were to get a salad again I would ask for the dressing on the side. They also offer weeknight specials Tuesday through Thursday, so it's worth checking their website for the details before heading out. Overall, we had a really nice experience. The customer service was outstanding. Was it the best pizza around? No, but it was definitely tasty and satisfying. The Caesar salad was good, and the atmosphere made for a pleasant evening. We'll definitely be back... and hopefully next time the fish entrée and I will finally meet.

Remember, I'm at the bar where all the servers are at. And they were not that busy. It was Mother's Day. I was traveling and by myself on a hard day as my Mom passed away 2 years ago, and my mom always enjoyed local mom and pop restaurants so I had never been to this place. And when she did she said she was training a new person, ok???? How about trying to train her to take care of customers!! I ordered. And 27 minutes later, NOTHING! For just eggs and biscuits and gravy! She never even came back to me for water. Rude rude!! I finally just walked out. Unbelievable! I spend a lot of time there at the fairgrounds and will make sure I tell all to stay away. I was very disappointed!

Disappointing, but I understand and quickly assessed my lunch options. We decided to order an appetizer and then split a lunch plate. For the appetizer we got the loaded fries, since they were hand cut as we were sitting there. Overall the loaded fries were okay. I think they went too heavy on the cheese and the other noticeable thing was that the cinnamon in the chili was a little stronger than I would have liked. For lunch it was a Big Sexy Burger which had a double burger, pimento cheese, bacon jam and maybe some other stuff. But those items mentioned sold me on trying it. My only criticism about the burger would be the pimento cheese, it seemed to be heavy on the mayo and not as much cheese, but overall a decent burger. I think the real star of the meal was the onion rings, I would definitely recommend these. Now that we tried their lunch, I am looking forward to trying their breakfast menu.

Drive the extra mile or 2 to the next exit on the interstate. That McDonald's is located right off the exit. We were traveling to Florida, and the extra miles off the interstate did not sit well with me, but I digress. We decided to have breakfast here after being on the road for a couple of hours. There were no workers at the front, so we ordered from the kiosk. We ordered the Hotcakes & Sausage, Bacon Biscuit meal, Sausage Biscuit meal, and a Sausage and Egg Biscuit meal. They were out of orange juice, so we ordered sweet tea and a Hi-C. We paid for our food at the kiosk, sat at a table, and waited. After about 20 minutes, I thought that maybe our order didn't go through. Just as my husband was going to check, one of the workers brought our food over to us. Good points: The restaurant was clean. The service was good. The taste of the food was good. Bad points: No workers in the front. There really should be workers in the front. Not everyone wants to use the kiosk. The service was a little slow, and they forgot to give my husband a fork, and condiments for his Hotcakes. The portion size of the food was very small. The Hi-C tasted watery. Observations: I noticed that the problem with this location during the time we were there was the front of the house. The back of the house prepared the food in an orderly manner, but the front of the house had a hard time executing the orders. An irate gentleman came inside to state that he had been waiting for his curbside order for a long time, only to find out that it had been sitting on the counter inside the entire time. Before the gentleman came in, I heard the manager tell her team to get the curbside orders out, but no one did. Only when the irate customer came in did the front-line staff start to get the curbside orders out. This location has the potential to be better, but the manager has to step it up to make sure her staff executes the orders correctly and get them to the customers in a timely manner.
